About Crowley’s Ridge Development Council

Crowley's Ridge Development Council is an addiction and mental health treatment facility that was founded to help individuals in and around Jonesboro, Arkansas, fight off chemical dependency through inpatient and outpatient treatment options. This facility accepts many different types of insurance providers including United Healthcare, QualChoice, BlueCross BlueShield and Humana. Uninsured patients are welcome to pay for services without insurance. This facility is CARF accredited and state licensed.

This clinic is equipped to handle adults seeking treatment for substance use disorders that involve various substances like alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, benzodiazepine and methamphetamine. To move past these challenges, the program offers both inpatient or outpatient treatment services.

Residential treatment gives patients access to group counseling sessions, individual counseling and around the clock care. After completing this inpatient portion of the program, graduates are encouraged to continue treatment through outpatient therapy. Outpatient therapy includes flexible individual and group services, counseling and educational courses. Individuals who have successfully completed a residential treatment program but still need continued support can consider the facility’s Chemical Free Living Center. This transitional home offers support for the individual for up to six months as they transition back into the real world. The clinic also offers an intensive outpatient program (IOP), which involves three to five sessions a week of four to five hours of group therapy or lectures.

One interesting feature about this facility is that they offer community outreach opportunities in the form of their regional prevention program. This program spreads awareness about drugs, alcohol and addiction. Speakers tell their testimonies to schools, civic organizations and churches to help prevent others from falling into the traps of addiction.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
The outpatient treatment program was designed for those persons needing lesser assistance to function than the individual entering into the residential treatment setting and not requiring a live-in setting / environment. The outpatient treatment component is individually tailored to satisfy specific person served needs. Outpatient treatment services are provided five (5) days a week, Monday through Friday, with flexible counseling hours to meet the schedules of the person served who is employed or who may have other special scheduling needs. Northeast Arkansas Regional Recovery Center provides individual and group services and offers family counseling as part of our outpatient treatment program.
inpatient iconInpatient
The residential treatment component was designed for those persons needing a live-in setting / environment. Residential treatment services are provided seven (7) days a week, twenty -four (24) hours a day. Northeast Arkansas Regional Recovery Center provides individual, group therapy/lectures, and family counseling is offered, as part of our residential treatment program. Upon completion of residential treatment, persons served are encouraged to continue in aftercare utilizing the outpatient treatment component. Referrals to other agencies will be made when necessary. Placement criteria for the residential treatment component as determined by counselor’s capabilities and a standardized screening / assessment tool includes, but is not limited to: cannot function in society at this time and needs live-in substance abuse treatment setting, alcohol / drug use, amount of alcohol / drugs used, routes of administration, and referrals based on the requirements of the legal / judicial system.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

The goal of drug rehab in Arkansas is to help individuals stop using addictive substances and learn healthy ways to remain clean long-term. Participants learn vital skills to cope with cravings and manage stress, to prevent relapse.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
