About Crossroads of Allentown

Crossroads Allentown is a drug rehab center specializing in helping individuals find their path to recovery through medication assisted treatments. This addiction treatment center is found in Allentown, Pennsylvania. It is committed to being convenient while providing comprehensive and high quality care to ensure clients have an improved chance of obtaining sobriety.

The Crossroads Allentown addiction treatment center focuses on medication assisted treatment (MAT). As such, it doesn’t offer other levels of care. To learn more about their MAT programs for opioid substance abuse disorder, read below:

The methadone and suboxone treatment programs for opioid addiction disorder offer patients daily doses of FDA approved methadone or suboxone treatment. In addition, patients will also receive counseling and toxicology services. Those who remain in these programs have a fourfold increased chance of drug addiction remission. The length of stay is dependent on the unique substance abuse recovery needs of each individual.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one’s body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. Linden Oak's Addiction Services unit is a separate area within Linden Oaks Hospital that offers treatment for those undergoing withdrawal as they stop the cycle of addiction. Patients are detoxified under the care of a psychiatrist, and their staff has specialized training to provide the medication, monitoring and support needed during the withdrawal process.

aftercare iconAftercare

Clients receiving services from a rehab aftercare program are usually stable and in the maintenance phase of recovery, having completed detox and/or intensive inpatient treatment. Rehab aftercare services can vary widely based on clients' individual and evolving needs, but often include peer coaching, relapse prevention support, 12 step program induction, and medical, mental health, and social service referrals. Individual care plans are typically developed by the client in partnership with their case manager and care team.

I have been going to crossroads for almost two years now. My experience there has always been wonderful all the ladies that work there are very polite and friendly. They know my name when I walk in the door and they treat everyone with respect and help them exceptionally well. The front desk is always on top of things and the woman who works the temp desk is so friendly it's not like going to a Dr. Appt it's more like just stopping for a friendly visit. The only thing I would have to say I would like to see different is that you hardly ever see the same doctor, for awhile it was the same one and then it was a different one everytime, I don't know if she just keeps going on vacation, but I feel patients are more likely to talk about issues when they know someone they trust. When it's a new face every time I am reluctant to talk new since I've never seen you before. I am fine but I can't be the only one who feels that way. Other than that, my overall experience with crossroads has been great I would def recommend that any of my friends use them in the future if they are going through the same thing! Plus I have donated so much stuff through them to people like clothing, books, and toiletries that they give to people in need for free which is absolutely amazing!
