I was in that place for 14 days and then a friend came for me, personally for me it was good until I fell in love with a beautiful worker there, she was beautiful and had such a nice body, I told her that I liked her, but she didn't answer anything, But I would like to see her again and tell her that it still keeps me up at night, maybe I'd like to invite her to lunch.

I was a patient 4x at this hospital due to instability with medicine, homelessness and illness. It was very rough for me to get adjusted due to my inability to smoke for 4-6 months. However when I did I was pleased. I was taught what close care of hygiene looks like, structured days and balanced meals, and learned what better relationships look like can be formed through advocating, asserting, and assimilating.I needed this time to remain healthy, it could have easily been the reason I am still here. From this hospital I was granted to go to independent living, and with the skills I learned and the reasonable rent, I am a more reliable person for my family. The staff was very sensitive to my insecurities and they sincerely invested whatever time they could to be available to speak with them. I would like to be staff as well, helping people build confidence and approach. I want to work in the mental health profession at crestwood now because after meeting many cordial guides like Tom from (phf) and fay (mhrc) both paved the way for my good faith and understanding in a more worldly way. Dr Munir was a wonderful suite for his job and very talented. Thank you again for my brighter future that I have today. Love, cody LA ROSA

I was recently a patient there transfered from a county hospital. The hospital and staff are horrible to say the least. The staff ignored my medication list provided by my doctor's office and only provided me with the medication they wanted and the doses they wanted, basically forcing me to go through withdrawals. I am also a diabetic and eat a special diet. I was forced to eat the same foods and as everyone else and was told I could control my portion. I did not always allowed access to food or drink, including water. There where patients that were physically and verbally aggressive towards staff and patients alike. These patients were never reprimanded nor punished. There was not always access to the patient phone for use even though there was a staff member present. Late night from anywhere starting at about 10pm - 5am you can always find a staff member sleeping instead of working. The doctor at this facility should have his license revoked, he is all about keeping the hospital full for that easy money and does not have the patients best intentions only the $$$ in his pocket. The staff were not knowledgeable regarding patient treatment, patient care or had an medical education, nutrition, experience or training at all. This facility should be shut down and the doctor's license revoked!

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy is a structured approach used by therapists to help you heal from a past traumatic event. Your therapist works with you to identify the traumatic memory and process the information so you experience emotional healing and a sense of safety and stability.

While in rehab treatment, you may work on developing various life skills to help you in long term recovery. These may include resilience, interpersonal skills, and self awareness. The focus will be on developing healthy habits for self care and relationships so you have the skills you need to manage day to day life.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

Staff are horrible and insensitive, especially their male physician. They try to medicate you for EVERYTHING. No one who is suicidal should be sent here EVER.

Not first-hand experience, but am relaying message of appreciation and gratitude from another individual and their family. Says: clean facilities, including showers, bedrooms (patio garden spare & not developed, but it was wintertime). Positive, professional, cheerful staff. Psychiatrist on board is judgemental & not particularly objective when interacting with different personalities of patients & their different backgrounds, but maybe he is tired & underpaid? Dunno. Meals are very good for this kind of food (i.e., cafeteria/hospital). "Would recommend" this hospital's services & emergency psychiatric programs to others.
