About Covington County Hospital

Covington County Hospital is a large and comprehensive hospital that has a wide range of medical specialties including behavioral health. The hospital is in Collins, Mississippi, but they provide behavioral health services at their offsite behavioral health clinic called Covington Place Therapy and Counseling, which is also in Collins.

This treatment center is an outpatient clinic that takes a person centered approach to every client’s challenges and needs. They’ll work with you to get to the root of your drug and alcohol addiction as well as any mental health needs you may have. They’ll tailor your treatment to you and what will give you the most successful recovery.

One aspect of this clinic that impressed me is how inclusive their services are. They don’t just treat adults but they serve clients ages 6 and older. They can also help people with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health conditions. They understand that addiction can get a hold on anyone, and they want to make sure everyone has access to effective treatment.

The other thing about this clinic that I found important is their focus on self growth and fulfillment. They’re not just trying to get you sober. They also want to help you grow beyond your addiction and create a life that satisfies all of your needs and doesn’t lead you back to drugs and alcohol. And because the clinic is part of Covington County Hospital they can also integrate your treatment with other health care needs like medical complications stemming from your addiction.

By far the WORST hospital i ve ever came across out of my almost 40 years of life. I ve tried to give different chances but no! They re horrible. I ve been in the medical field for over 15 years and i m very knowledgeable enough to know what needs to be done in the ER. I rather die than to go here and i live less than 2 mins away. I refuse to pay for terrible services so i ll forever owe them!!!

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Clients stepping down from inpatient care or who prefer to remain at home while receiving intensive treatment may choose to enroll in an outpatient rehab. Outpatient day treatment, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) are designed for clients requiring more robust supervision and daily treatment. Standard outpatient services enable clients to attend addiction counseling and recovery education throughout the week, with many centers offering weekend, night, and evening sessions to accommodate clients' work and family schedules.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Despite being a hospital, it is a place that allows me to clear my mind when I feel anxious. Mental health is undoubtedly important.

Very disrespectful to my elderly mom (94y.o). Have said things that show a total lack of compassion or care and makes her feel like she's an inconvenience to them. She's been there for rehab because she can't walk without assistance, along with other issues but they just let her lay in the bed all day.Nobody helps her up and hardly checks on her. The only time she gets up is when rehab comes by.They just don't seem to care about the patients. Just there to get a check.

Don t go to this hospital. The reviews must be paid for because my experience was nothing short of the worst experience! Outdated machines, not enough machines . Waiting hours for an ultrasound because they don t have anymore machines available yet the hospital parking lot was damn near empty (must ve been the staffs cars) and I witnessed no other patients in there is beyond me. Dust everywhere. This place needs a revamp asap.

I was sent to this hospital for 3 different Infusions due to being a cancer patient and being diagnosed with covid. The care that each nurse and lab tech and the young ladies at the front desk showed me was above and beyond. The whole staff was exceptional. I wished I would have gotten all their names to thank them personally. Keep up the great work . It's medical teams like you guys that patients like me want to see. You all definitely earned 5 stars.

I arrived in line at Covington County Hospital on 1/15/21 about 7:45 am. I was #131! I was out of there at 10:25am! wow! They were SO... SOOOOO.. Organized and soooo friendly. They were staffed and ready! Policemen and others handling traffic... being friendly.. keeping us all at ease.. staff giving out our number in line... distributing proper paperwork to be completed .. gathering completed paperwork.. We were informed ALWAYS.. A SWEET SWEET LADY EVEN CARTED AROUND REFRESHMENTS.. COFFEE, WATER, SNACKS! Unbelievable!!! Thank you, Covington County Hospital! I'm feeling safer already and can't wait to receive my second dosage.. I DID NOT EVEN FEEL THE FIRST SHOT! Thanks again.. MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL!UPDATE: Received my second dosage on 2/12/21. arrived about 7:10 and was out around 8:30... it was SOOO COLD! The sweet lady and helpers were STILL out offering snacks.. staff STILL out directing as well as policemen directing traffic. Quick shot (that was perfectly administered in the freezing cold)... THANK YOU AGAIN for giving life and your time and effort! EXCELLENT!
