outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

aftercare iconAftercare

Clients receiving support in a rehab aftercare program typically partner with their case manager and care team to identify and access the services that best align with their recovery needs and goals. Rehab aftercare services are designed to evolve with clients' changing needs to promote their long-term sobriety. Care modalities are highly customized and may include a range of medical, mental health, and social service resources, including peer coaching, career counseling, and 12 step program induction.

12-step icon12-Step

12 step programs provide accessible peer coaching for participants at all stages of their recovery journey. Meetings are peer-led, anonymous, free, and available multiple times per day in most communities. Participants also receive one-on-one mentoring by a self-selected sponsor. 12 step recovery is based on spiritual principles, which enable participants to understand their disease, accept responsibility for their choices, and relinquish control over that which is unchangeable. Religious affiliation isn't required and specialized formats are available.

The intervention specialist helps facilitate the conversation and explain how treatment can help.

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Come here if you need affordable treatment but don't expect to get something spectacular from your money. The therapy is very standard and I think they could rely more on evidence-based treatment that would result in long-term recovery.

They have horrible service ... the staff can not get there schedule together and the management is only after money if u miss or fail it's not about helping you reach your goal of becoming sober it's about making sure they get all the money they can they will prolong your sessions and give false reports to whoever is monitoring you progress

Response from the owner2 months ago
Hi Mr. Chandler. Your review of our services is quite negative. It could be considered defamatory. Everyone is entitled to have an opinion, you included. Opinions, however, to be credible and objective should be based on facts. Let me state the facts. Like in your case, clients are referred or self-referred to our program; we evaluate each case and recommended appropriate professional services; in accordance with their availability, we schedule those services; we call in advance and remind of their appointments; despite our effort, some like you miss appointments. I assume that you do not want to accept our program, and I respect that. We have never forced anybody to come to our program. If clients are referred to us or decide to come to our program, we are willing to serve them honestly, professionally, and respectfully. Our staff is committed to fulfill our mission of fostering the client's well-being and personal growth. Of course, the client is always the protagonist in his/her success based on personal motivation, commitment, and effort. You accuse us of being only interested in money. I want to believe that you say this out of frustration, but this accusation is totally false and uncalled for. Let me say that our agency is private, does not get grants or donations, and totally depends on the services provided. Our staff is entitled to be compensated for their work, same as you deserve to be paid when you have a job. As any other business, we have many other operating expenses. As mentioned above, we depend exclusively on the fees collected from the services we provide. You can understand that missed appointments imply a waste of professional and financial resources. Mr. Chandler, if you change your mind and come to our program, you will be welcomed and served with respect, honesty, and professionalism. You have our respect as a human being but believe that your comments serve no useful purpose. Keep in mind that respect is the basis for human coexistence.

I would like to say that this place is a God Send , I m currently in the mental health field and have been for the last 22 years, in this filed I have seen all kind of things in regards to my client mental health and their substance abuse issues. I m currently a Program Director at a nonprofit RCF and I have had several clients who had participated in the Counseling plus Program. I have worked very closely with Mr Moxley in regards to my clients participation in the program, he s very professional, knowledgeable and straight forward but he is also very supportive to his clients. Every time I have a client that needs treatment Mr.Moxley makes it happen hands down. I truly appreciate you Mr.Moxley and Counseling Plus for all that you do please keep up the good work .Mike Todd

I would highly recommend Counseling Plus Inc to anyone in need of Alcohol or Drug Counseling. The counselors are very professional, and knowledgeable about the causes, cost, and effects addiction has on individuals and society as a whole. Thank you Dr. Cid, Mr. Fletcher, Athea, and office personnel!

Counseling plus is a great organization filled with people who really take the time to get to know you, and help you with your drug/alcohol related issues/addictions. They offer group sessions where you can share with everyone, as well as one on one for private conversations. Even couples counseling if you are having relationship issues. Mr. Fletcher is a chill/laidback educated man, Who will point you in the right direction. He is fair, and honest. And a great person to talk to. Mr. Moxley is also a great counselor. Easygoing, Easy to talk to, keeps it real, and is very dedicated in educating you about your addictions and the harm it causes. I recommend to anyone who is battling with drug/alcohol addiction and needs a reliable source to talk to that will steer you in the right direction.

If you or a loved one is struggling with alcohol or drugs, go somewhere else! This place is a total and complete joke! The staff are incompetent mediocres that want to have your money and nothing else. You re just a number here, without real possibilities of recovering. Their wishy-washy, lack-luster kind of attitude made me leave after only a few weeks in the program. I ve been to the best recovery facilities in the country and this one by far has a lot to wish for. Not even close to being serious. Disastrous. The cheapest of the cheapest. Obviously, it s a for profit business venture driven by revenue and greed. Nothing to look for over here. Don t waste your time and your money. Go somewhere else where you ll be treated fairly, with dignity and respect.

Edwin, your review reflects a very negative perception of our program. I am sorry that you express such a high level of frustration. I am the founder and director of this agency and would have liked to meet with you to address your concerns. Unfortunately, you chose to write your negative review. I respect your opinion but prefer constructive criticism. Of course, there is always room for improvement and we are open to suggestions and constructive feedback. We started services in 1991 and during all these years have helped thousands of human beings improve their lives. All our counselors are licensed/certified in Maryland and we are CARF accredited. We have contracts with federal and local governments and all their monitoring reports have been positive. I think some of your statements could be defamatory like when you write that we "want to have your money and nothing else." Of course, we depend on collecting the fees for our services to pay our staff, rent, etc. However, instead of terminating a client for lack of payment, we prefer to discuss with him/her a different pay plan. And yes, we are driven by our mission which is "to foster the personal growth of our clients by providing substance abuse and mental health services in an environment of empathy, respect, kindness, professionalism and cultural sensitivity."
