Susan has been an absolute god send to my life.. I'm not legally nor court mandated to be in recovery but chose to start making a difference in my life. Susan thankfully was the first to help me.. she related to me... she spoke to me as a normal person..I'm seeing Susan to change my life and she's truly making a big impact. She's been there.. shes done it.. she's overcome it and she truly knows how you feel. She's very patient.. easy to talk to if you're truly interested in making a change in your own life while feeling the person helping you knows exactly how you feel then I suggest seeing Susan at the New Milford MCCA she's truly a blessing

I've been with NMHBH for(maybe) 20 years now.I've seen 3 women counselors. I literally walked right out in the middle of each session. One woman was constantly late. She would go to her office and spend even more time. Eventually, I was called in and ONLY had 10-15 minutes left to talk. All the while, she was putzing at her desk with her back towards me.Another counselor, I was explaining how I feel with the physical aspects of having anxiety and panic attacks. To me it is physical. So, when I mentioned all this to her,TRUE STORY!!!...AND I QUOTE...(with a tick of the tongue)she replies,"Oh! I don't believe that!!"I was in complete shock ! I gave the counselor a piece of my mind and stormed out of the office.I thought counselors are supposed to be sympathetic. Hmmm?? Listens well and has GOOD advice to give that will certainly help with your everyday difficult situations, troubles, uncertainties etc. I received no helpful feedback. I don't seem to get along with any female counselors or women in general. I'm still a patient at NMHBH. Now I only go every 3 months just to check in & review my medications. This is only MY experience. Perhaps you'll find a counselor for yourself & hopefully be able to establish a relationship that is detrimental to your well-being.Thank you for your time.Mz. Murphy

MCCA mcdonough was my 4th rehab and probably my last chance to get sober. It was the best place for me to come to in the state I was in and honestly Jenni, Heather, and Michelle are THE best counselors I ve ever met and worked with out of all the rehabs I ve been to. They believed in me when I didn t believe in myself. And they all go above and beyond to help any client with whatever they can. They are the reason I have remained so connected to the program, as well as helping me get back on my feet and in sober living and building a community and network in recovery. I have seen some positive reviews here but I ve also seen some negative, and it s a shame those people didn t have the experience I did because these counselors not only saved my life but they have changed it and me for the better. I don t know where I would be right now without their help, guidance, and assistance, and I fully plan on doing everything in my power to stay clean so I can come back one day, share my story for their groups to show that recovery is possible, the program works, and if you allow these amazingly generous women to help you that you too can have a life beyond your wildest dreams.

Off to an okay start, has a long way to go. I would give three and a half stars if it was allowed. Love every single staff and faculty member a part of BH Care I have been in contact with, for the most part. They kind of need to be shallow with you and not too invasive probably due to HIPPA and some sort of fear of being sued. I went here voluntarily, and they have diagnosed me with something pretty heavy anyone would have a hard time with. Since I have no kids, and no court record, I feel as if they considered my case to not be that important. I am not made for medications, and believe it would make my condition worse, and I'm very lucky to be sober and have healthy coping mechanisms. The IOP is ran by very nice people, but I could imagine if someone had to pay they would consider it a waste of money and time. I really came there not knowing what to do with my life, and I'm really hoping my now appointed case worker understands how crucial figuring out what I can do with my life at the age of 32 is very important and I'm at a make it or break it age. I just feel as if since I have been involved since February has been a waste of time when I still can't find a job or what to think of my life. No answers besides a heavy diagnosis. Anyways I love the staff at BH Care and the owner as well, I just wish that I was taken seriously for I am in a crisis there's just no drugs or kids or court involved.
