How rude was the lady who picked up the phone to schedule my appointment she kept saying I don t have a referral when i know I do I have a copy in my hand. Then she told me that I would need to see my primary care doctor first even though the referral came from the hospital as I have been hospitalized for five days Due to chronic migraines.I explained to her I did not know why I need to see a primary care physician first in order to schedule an appointment when the referral is coming from the hospital she just kept talking in circles and then disconnected the phone.I see that Dr. Dunn Wasn t the only problem in this location after reading the reviews I will definitely be having my doctor refer me to a much better office. Thank you but no thank you They are very unprofessional and every way.

At this point I'm tired. I've had MS (Rrms) for 20 years. (Work out when I can) Im a mom to twins and wife I also still work (part time in health care). Blessed to be functional thankfully. Ive had dark days but they are mostly bright. I suffer from migraines. I mean like no one can seem to understand. My doctor just told me today I will be in pain the rest of my life. So why can't I have pain pills????? Lost confused and angry the nurses and other staff are fine but why does my body and head have to hurt and nothing is being done I've been trying all the meds my doct wants me to try and no relief it's pass sad and distasteful I was seeing a chiropractic but got told to stop I asked about acupuncture and was told that was pricey

If I could would give them a zero. Also certainly don't recommend them to anyone. My dad and I arrived the secretary took the new patient papers. I went back to the desk she told me that they would not be able to see my dad because he lives in a nursing home. I asked her as to why they couldn't see him she stated that they are a private practice and they wouldn't get paid because of him being from a nursing home/facility. She was telling me that the nursing home has their own specialist that nursing home residents are to go to. I told her that they do not have their own specialist. She thought I was going to believe what she was telling. That wasn't going to happen. I'm very aware of things. I also know a lot about medical billing. I'm a Medical Insurance Biller. The other thing is that when billing the insurance company there's no place to indicate that the patient is from a nursing home or facility. On the claim to the insurance company there's only an area that they put the place of service. That wouldn't indicate that the patient is from a nursing home or facility. I especially didn't like when she kept saying that my dad was from a facility. I knew from the beginning that I was going to have problems with them. I knew that their was going to be issues because they are not with the U of R. Glad that my dad is going to be seen by any of the doctors there.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

When you choose drug rehab in New York, you'll participate in a variety of treatments that are designed to help you live a drug-free lifestyle. Common methods of treatment include group, individual, and family counseling, medication management, nutrition, exercise, and management of co-occurring mental health disorders.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Dr. Khishchenko was recommended to me by my PCP whom I have a trusting, open dialogue with. I have been having migraines that have been causing me some issues for quite some time, and the medication that I was taking wasn't working. Dr. Khishchenko listened to my concerns, he did a full work up on me, and he's willing to use alternative methods other than medication. His bedside manor is warm, and he has a great sense of humor.

They said I had to get preapproval for the MVA. Almost 8 weeks later they got me an appointment more weeks away. Only to want me to sign a piece of paper, stating I would cover expenses.Talked to insurance company and they said no such thing as preapprival approval for MVA. NYS says they have a form that is for me to sign off if I wanted to be responsible to pay but was not the form they had because after taking to office manager she said it was a bunch of other things plus the payment part. NYS form is just about the payment and is not required to be signed and they don't have to accept me .The manager said the approval was to verify body part covered and insurance coverage was there to pay. With my coverage they knew they would get paid, so why was I asked to sign this extra form...... I believe the practice is not owned by the doctors but a big Corp., making money or as I call it money grubbing.Anyway I was loud and told them no I'm not signing it, they said they won't treat me (there option via NYS) and I said "see ya later bye" and walked out. I called and asked to have the doctor call. I get a call from the manager saying I was belligerent. Loud I was but the def of the word is " hostile and aggressive". Of which I was neither and yes loud I was. They did not like the idea that in front of other people I said the above. They gave me the boot after about 15 or so years of being there as a patient. The manager said she was there and heard everything. Just the kind of manager I would want running my business. You are right there and don't intervene to help your people or the patient who is obviously distressed because of what is going on. Most patients are under distress of some type of they wouldn't be there!

I was nearly paralyzed before Dr. Pette helped me get back to some normalcy. Staff is incredibly helpful with solving insurance problems. Have always gotten great care in the infusion center.

I was referred from urgent care and called to schedule an appointment. The woman who answered the phone was very rude, and unhelpful. She kept telling me I had no referral; although I did and refused to help. If they run this office the same way that person spoke to me I am glad I could not schedule. Very unprofessional.

Dr Pettee is a very honest, and sympathetic doctor. I don't understand all the negative reviews. I'm sorry that this practice actually expects you to pay your bill when they see you. Which is a good way to do business. If you can get past that, you would find Dr Pettee to be the best neurologist in Rochester.
