Addiction Treatments

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Missouri usually involves several phases: detox, rehab, and aftercare. The rehab phase may include a combination of inpatient and outpatient treatments, as the individual moves through a continuum of care on their recovery journey.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Response from the owner1 year ago
John, you have already been refunded and have already spoken to Stephanie. A receipt has also been sent to you, via text. I don't know where the confusion is but you are more than welcome to call the office at 636-789-4750.

I have false calls and text coming from the office about community service and me missing them so I have Double Time apparently. I just called. No answer. Just a voiceover. No real people. I haven t been arrested since 2010. What a joke.

This office lets the monitor charges add up for three months before notification to you that the account is in arrears. This is after being asked for a txt before it's month behind as it's for a family member that has special needs and isn't able to work or drive themselves

Response from the owner2 years ago
John I spoke to you last month about the outstanding balance and you advised you would be calling back in 2 weeks; which you did not. You are also forgetting how I have to repeatedly text you about the constant non-compliance with charging the device. You want multiple text messages regarding reminders to charge the GPS device and you also want me to remind you of the payment that is due every month. Go buy a calendar or set an alarm on your phone like I have already suggested that you do. Leaving a poor review, filled with untruths because you are having a bad day is just silly.

Thank you Baybay for your review with no explanation. We hope you have a wonderful day and feel free to let PPS know what we could be doing to better serve you with your court ordered services.

Answer the phones!

Response from the owner2 years ago
If an employee is unable to answer the phone, you have the option to leave a message. Unfortunately, there are times an employee might use the restroom or might be in the middle of helping someone else. Leave a message and your call will be returned in a timely fashion. This is not a complicated process.

I had a grievance with the owner of PPS, Danette, about how she was handling my probation, and being difficult to contact. Her office closes at 6pm. We finally got in touch at 5:45 and she stayed after hours to remain on the phone with me until 6:30. She explained her side and what she was going through with work, and I explained why I felt so blindsided and cheated by someone who I trusted. The root of the problem was mainly a miscommunication. And towards the end of the conversation she gave me words of encouragement, that I really needed to hear. I think she does care for her clients, sometimes this is just so overwhelming for both clients and officers.Staying after hours with kind words went a long way. Thank you.

Tammy is awesome! She made me feel comfortable as could be and when she asked me how I got in trouble... well, I told her and she said my story made waaay more sence than the police report. Sixth sence? George and Sue told me to tell you hi.
