Terrible hospital none of the nurses or doctors knew what they were doing they were highly unprofessional and rude towards me and my symptoms. I went for possibility of meningitis. I had a fever of 100.5. My blood pressure was high. I been having extreme headache pain for a week unable to move my head feeling very weak no one helped me they left me in the room nearly had a seizure and all the doctor did was stare at me and the other man who is a nurse said bro just chill out while I was laying in the hospital bed shaking from pain. Another man who s a nurse was very loud being rude and unhelpful talking to me like I m some dumb teenager that don t know their symptoms or how I feel. Saying that what I m going through isn t as important as others and left me again in pain. They took blood out and the nurse popped my vein in my arm it s swollen. If your health is in serious danger I wouldn t recommend this hospital they will leave you to suffer alone.

The most horrible place, I literally just left the emergency room!!, I have been having a miscarriage since 11:00 am this morning, have been sitting in the emergency room waiting area without being taken to a room. It s already 1:00 pm and the triage nurse keeps saying we are waiting for a room. We patiently wanted and nothing, needing A more private area, as I have been bleeding the whole time through my pants, no one offered a blanket not even some socks!! Imagine having a miscarriage and you haven t been seen or atleast given a room. The only thing was taken was my urine and my vital signs. Not even knowing if you are having an infection. I am definitely looking into suing this hospital.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient rehabs specialize in providing comprehensive care for clients who choose to remain in their homes and communities during treatment. Their services may include transitional support for clients stepping down from intensive inpatient programming. Ambulatory medical detox may be provided for clients at low risk for withdrawal complications. Many programs include evening, night, and weekend services to accommodate clients who are working professionals or caregivers. Addiction counseling and life skills training are common treatment modalities.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Clients engaged in intensive outpatient programs (IOP) live and work in their home community while receiving frequent, high-level care. These programs offer personalized care designed to evolve with the clients' changing needs. Many intensive outpatient rehabs require a minimum of nine hours of treatment per week, but high-risk clients and those in early recovery may receive up to 20 hours of care weekly. IOP services generally include addiction counseling, recovery education, and holistic therapies, such as massage.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Clients receiving services from a rehab aftercare program are usually stable and in the maintenance phase of recovery, having completed detox and/or intensive inpatient treatment. Rehab aftercare services can vary widely based on clients' individual and evolving needs, but often include peer coaching, relapse prevention support, 12 step program induction, and medical, mental health, and social service referrals. Individual care plans are typically developed by the client in partnership with their case manager and care team.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
Intervention services bring extensive experience to the planning and conducting of drug interventions in Pennsylvania. These experts can facilitate interventions in a sensitive manner that encourages positive outcomes. The goal of the intervention is to educate the individual about addiction and the consequences of their substance use and encourage them to get the treatment they need. Interventions can be effective with all types of drugs and alcohol addiction.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
With a partial hospitalization program (PHP), you can participate in intensive rehabilitation treatment with the ability to return home at the end of the day. For a weekly minimum of 20 hours, a partial hospitalization program can take place up to 5 days a week for an average of 90 days. During PHP treatment, you can receive relapse prevention strategies, medication management, individual and group therapy, and other behavioral therapy interventions.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
Because the severity of withdrawal symptoms can fluctuate, constant monitoring under 24-hour clinical care in Pennsylvania is recommended for early recovery. As you undergo detox, medical staff will supervise your health and ensure severe symptoms do not develop or threaten your life. Professional counselors will also be available to treat mental and emotional health needs.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
A medical detox is the safest way to wean your body off drugs and/or alcohol in an inpatient setting. When detoxing from addictive substances, the physical and psychological side effects of withdrawal can cause mood swings, anxiety, nausea, or flu-like symptoms. In medically assisted detox, a team of medical professionals are on hand 24/7 to help alleviate potential withdrawal symptoms, administer medications to alleviate withdrawal symptoms, and ultimately keep you safe and comfortable throughout this process.

Treatments

Alcoholism is a syndrome of dependent alcohol use. Also called alcohol use disorder (AUD), the symptoms include craving alcohol, not being able to stop drinking, and feeling anxious or irritable when not drinking. For many people, alcohol rehab in Pennsylvania is a beneficial treatment. Programs offer many levels of care, including medical and behavioral therapies.

Drug rehab in Pennsylvania is devoted to the treatment of addiction. Levels of care, treatment methods, and settings differ, but the aim of each program is to end drug dependency and empower participants to achieve long-term recovery.

Pennsylvania's specialized dual-diagnosis addiction treatment programs prioritize comprehensive care for individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders and mental health conditions. Providing various levels of care, including outpatient, inpatient, and partial hospitalization, dual-diagnosis experts use evidence-based therapies, recovery support groups, and education to treat both disorders, promote mental health, and improve your quality of life.

In Pennsylvania, dual-diagnosis rehabs specialize in providing comprehensive care for individuals facing both mental health and substance abuse challenges. These facilities offer personalized treatment plans, integrating evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and experiential therapy. Other recovery services, like 12-Step meetings, skills training, educational groups, and an aftercare plan will enhance your odds of long-term recovery.

hearing-impaired-program thumbnail image

They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical behavior therapy in Pennsylvania is an evidence based technique that involves group therapy, individual therapy, and phone coaching. Group sessions focus on learning behavioral skills. Individual therapy gives you the opportunity to apply what you're learning to your personal situations. Phone coaching allows you to call your therapist during the week for help with challenging situations.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Motivational interviewing in Pennsylvania gives you the opportunity to share your perspective and explore your ideas and motivation for change. Your therapist will walk you through the four steps of engaging, focusing, evoking, and planning to empower you to make any desired changes in your life.

It is important to process the impact that traumatic experiences have had on your life. During trauma therapy, you and an experienced therapist confront these experiences and the emotional impact it is had. This helps to reduce your symptoms of stress and anxiety and improve your overall mental health and well being.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

I came on a Sunday evening. EVERY SINGLE NURSE AND the DOCTOR I came into contact with was absolutely wonderful. Everybody treated me with kindness and care. Really made me feel comfortable. I was nervous going to a new hospital not sure how I would be treated. But I would definitely pick this hospital again. The wait time was normal for a hospital in my opinion. I don t expect to get thrown in a room right away. So the wait was not bad to me.

Absolutely the best hospital visit, and the best Doctors and Nurses I have ever experienced! I have had only bad experiences until now, so I was so hesitant to go to the ER. So glad I did, because I needed an emergency surgery. Every single person i encountered was kind, gentle, and did not rush me! The Medicaid lady came by because I don t have insurance and she was so sweet and gave me her personal email! If I ever need anything in the future, this is my hospital!

Ongoing Updates:3. The MRI machine constantly breaks down multiple times monthly for many years. DO NOT schedule your MRI with this hospital.2. The MRI machine has been non functioning 4 times in a 6 month period. UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1. I spent 2 hours total on hold trying to schedule an MRI. 3 schedulers picked up, then, hung up on me for no reason. The number called was 215-938-5700. It s very sad that there are employees that DON T want to do their job. It s DISGRACEFUL.!!!!!!! They should be fired .. Stay away from this hospital!!!!

This review is specifically for Jessica in the Medical Records Dept. Very kind & professional, which is great bc usually requesting records is for a not good reason. & she even called back to let me know my records were faxed & confirmed delivered. It's nice having one less thing to worry about.

Such a bad place, I took my baby to kids urgent room I waited 1 hour for them to call me. My baby was crying ALOT and I had 2 other sick kids. I told them many times we been waiting they said just keep waiting there s still people ahead of me. They called us in the examine room we told everything. We waited another hour there, my baby was hungry and he didn t drink breast milk. The doctor came in and said oh it s late! Like hello yes it was late but you should tell that to your self I checked in 7:30 left 10:30. Her name was Nina opolinik if I spelled it right she was the doctors she told me it wasn t a excuse to bring 3 kids at a same time with a attitude, I ignored it she at the end said my baby was fine no medication needed and my daughter didn t belong to the kids urgent and said shouldn t of went to ER, like I lost my temper and argued why didn t they tell me those when I checked in like I wrote the reason and she said the nurses weren t a nurse. My babys fever was 104 I was scared he was crying none stop and said he doesn t look sick to me and I wasted my whole hours to hear this first they kept us waiting. I felt like I was in a joke show am I just someone who doesn t have anything better to do and bring a good baby to the urgent care at 7:30 and she was fighting with me and I left she didn t give a damn. Don t recommend for you to bring your kids here
