Where do I start with Banyan? I was so nervous and scared to admit myself, but there was absolutely no need for me to be.Nurse Heather and BHT Tammy did my intake and they were so kind to me while I nervously swayed in the front area. The Director of Operations, Lexi, came up to the facility late to help them with it as well. It was almost midnight. They wanted to move as quickly as they could so that I could get in bed since it had been a long day of traveling. The next day, I was met with delicious food from the chef, Luce. Her cooking during my stay was INCREDIBLE. She made the best breakfasts, pastas, sandwiches, meatloaf and all the other yummy comfort meals I could think of. She is so good at listening and customizing for food allergies, etc.The director of nursing, Sara, has a wonderful staff. Christa, Heidi, and Heather were my favorites, though all of the nurses were very informative and caring. The Behavioral Health Techs were very kind as well. They were incredibly helpful and were always around to answer questions or even just talk when I was having a rough day.My therapist, Scott, was really my saving grace while I was here. He helped me really get to the root of my problems and open myself to new ideas and methods of treatment. I have a new sense of self after working with him and I will be forever grateful for him. The therapist s that taught group lessons, Kascee, Felecia and Dane were wonderful, informative and patient as well. The executive director, Mark, was always visible and available for questions and conversation. He was one of my first conversations and he calmed my nerves greatly. The head of maintenance, Bubba, was so helpful when I had any questions or issues with things around the building. My room was a little toasty and he made sure that it was comfortable for me and looked at my shower to make sure my wind down time at night was optimal. He always has the kindest smile on his face. They took us to the gym and the trampoline park while I was there. They had other activities planned, but I left before I could attend. They brought in weekly AA meetings for anyone who wanted to attend. We had game nights and karaoke nights and did lots of therapeutic art.I would highly recommend Banyan Castle Rock for anyone who is looking for substance abuse treatment, mental health treatment or both. I am a better person for attending and I can t wait to keep getting better with all of the tools that I learned here.

Going in I was skeptical. The VA gets a bad rap. After getting the physical and paperwork the nurse came to the waiting room, sat down and explained the results. My private doctor does not do this. Appointments made and taken care of in a very timely manor. I was pretty impressed with the VA and this location.

I attended their inpatient addiction treatment program, Crestone Residential Treatment Services (CRTS) in 2019-2020. This was the best experience I've had at a treatment center. Their entire staff was nothing but supportive and helpful time and time again (Carol was my fave ), and their way of showing each of their patients that they were genuinely invested in each of us and our success seemed effortless, second nature. I stayed for 60 days and didn't have a single negative experience that entire time (except for when Shah's Kababs came around again on the meal schedule and the staff decided to order from a different place knowing I was counting down the days before I could order another Falafel Sandwich.... But I guess we can leave it in the past)I'm only leaving a comment now because I've been recommending CRTS Everytime I discuss treatment with a friend ever since and when i needed inpatient again last year I tried to reach out but never got a response and one friend was told they had closed. . So if this is correct can you guys please remove it from your list of provided services or add a note about how CRTS is no longer offered, or any type of clear confirmation? I've searched the internet for hours on at least 3 different occasions looking for something. I never get called back when leaving messages.

    Akicita A.
I've visited the walk-in therapy center a few times over the years. I try not to over-rely on it (I know they're busy and it's not good to put too much stress on mental health workers either; don't take them for granted). Once in a while, maybe once a year or so, I've stopped in because I'm unhappy and just need support. Last night was one of those nights, and I'm glad I did. My therapist this time was Adam, who never rushed the session and gave me a lot of time to fully process some issues I was dealing with. He asked questions that were, frankly, very piercing--none of that trite "and how does that make you feel? Can you sit with that?" bulslht that people think of with cheesy therapists. It was honestly a pretty tough session, which was what I needed. Crisis care won't coddle you, so don't walk in if you need an emotional babysitter or to be told everything is everyone else's fault and oh, poor you, you're just a misunderstood victim with valid complaints (notice how many one-star reviews are basically some version of "they didn't do what I thought they should to fix my issues"?). I needed some confrontation of my beliefs and values, and he brought the hammer down...with compassion. Don't expect this to resolve all your issues, and DON'T waste their time going in just for a "whine and btich" session; go in when you need it, and be ready to actually change your course of behavior afterward or don't bother. Did it "fix" all my issues? Of course not. But it helped extinguish a lot of the intensity of my anxiety and give me new ways to think things through, and the rest of the work is up to me.
