This place have saved my life. First I want to the staff is extremely extremely nice and helpful. They also take a few insurance, so if you have insurance just ask if they take. It I've been coming here 4 years and I can't believe that I don't use anymore! Me, my family, friends and peers are all happy for me and really supportive. They also offered me a grant so I don't have to pay for my co-oay which normally 45.00 a week. The counselors are very polite and non-judgmental. I can't thank this staff enough and how much they mean have good they are to me..Thank you Claymont treatment CenterAnd Tiffany me and my gmily a lot too. Thank you all of you.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Recovery is possible for those who complete drug rehab in Delaware. These programs specialize in providing an environment that encourages sobriety and a professional staff that provides the tools to overcome addiction. Participants receive a customized treatment plan tailored to their needs.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Accreditations

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is a branch of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Established in 1992 by congress, SAMHSA's mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on American's communities.

Instead of being a rehabilitation center you go and find addicted people smoking, drugging and inviting you to join them.

I've been a patient there for 10 years and have my couselor for the last 2 yeats has been Rachel Mills; she is an innately empathetic person and this trait has made her an absolute invaluable member of my overall health care. She is a wonderful listener and knows exactly how to steer some of my ADD tangents during our individual sessions. For example, since January of 2023 when I contracted covid, I have been suffering from really bad brain fog which quite frequently makes me forget what I am talking about, midsentence (a very frustrating and quite embarrassing occurrence). I am also going through a very recent and serious medically diagnosis, but without ever me asking her to accommodate me in any special way, at the end of our last session she handed me a post-it note with the bullet points of what we talked about and steps I need to take next that she had been jotting down without me noticing since our session started. It was the most touching and kind acts anyone has ever done for me.Another example is that she also has been amazing dealing with my near constant short term memory issues while we talk and she notices when I started to lose track of thought and she will very casually steer me vack to what I was just talking about, allowing me to remember the point I was initially trying to make, without embarrassing me or even making me aware.I have been working on this for 35 years and have been in and out of therapy since I was 16, and traits like Rachel's simply cannot be taught. It is simply who Rachel is as a person, and it is what makes her such an wonderful and effective counselor. And I have never been so moved and touched by those 2 simple accommodations that she initiated without me ever having to ask. It was one of the most simply and kindest things anyone has done for me aside from siblings and immediate family. I've been seeing psychiatrists, therapists, psychologists, doctors, etc.. in the last 30 years. Most people will never have more than one session with such a couselor of her quality.

In an overall look this center is great for us in recovery to stay clean. The building is kept clean. It smells good and the staff definitely does their job. Everyone is great but I want to take a second to thank 2 people who have really helped me in my struggle. First jeliza without her I wouldn't be able to get my Lyft and uber rides to the clinic and she handles all my insurance information and work so that I don't have to and that's huge to me because I struggle with them. So she does it all and I can just come get dosed and be out. Thank you for being awesome and always doing your job.Another is my counselor Jenna, not only does she listen to my struggles staying sober and My stressors in my life but if I need help or more information about anything she does the research and emails me so that I have everything I need. I only put it at 4 stars because there's a man who you have meetings with for take homes and often times it's not what he says but how he says it and he could talk to us way more kindly but with him it feels like he judges you still for your past and talks to you like your a child and it makes it hard for me to believe I am viewed as a regular person in his eyes and it's discouraging. I feel like he doesn't trust us fully with the take homes and it makes me feel like I'll never be viewed as a sober person who's done way better than where she was. Other than that particular person I'd pick coming here rather than any other place 10/10.

I ve been going to CTC since January and Ms. Katrina is my counselor. She has always been amazing and went above and beyond to help me. Mr. Darren Brown is another counselor there that has been very welcoming from the beginning and has always been very supportive. It s counselors like this that make it easy for me, a single mother and an addict in recovery, to keep moving forward despite any obstacles.
