outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

heart-hands iconIntervention Services

Intervention services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict's behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

Drug rehab in Ohio provides comprehensive treatment to address the physical and psychological needs of those struggling with substance use disorders. This may involve inpatient and/or outpatient care.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

mental-health iconMental Health and Substance Abuse

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Hand holding medical sign icon Clinical Services

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

medical-detox iconExperiential Therapy

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

life-skills iconLife Skills

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

desert iconMotivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

nicotine iconNicotine Replacement Therapy

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

Nutrition Therapy

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Rational Behavior Therapy

Rational Behavior Therapy (RBT) is a form of cognitive behavioral therapy meant to be short-term and comprehensive. It was intended to help clients become more self-sufficent and move forward without the need for expensive, ongoing therapy. It includes an emotional self-help method called “rational self-counseling,” the purpose of which is to give clients all the skills needed to handle future emotional issues by themselves, or with significantly less professional help.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Beware, this is a dangerous facility amid systemic corruption, negligence, malevolence, deceitful, devious, & outright evil people that inflict injury & trauma, commit civil, criminal, & human rights violations with atrocity, then coverup, neglect, betray, obfuscate, defraud, defame, slander, obstruct, enact reprisal & retaliate, harass, threaten, further endanger, harm, & violate. The corruption, exploitation, malevolence, obstruction of due processes, inhibit investigation, & evade accountability is extensive, including law enforcement among county & state, conniving intrusive parasitic profiteer NGOs, kleptocracy, malfeasance, & profligate indulgence, while deliberately chisel, heist, & harm, willfully impose disparity, inflict injury, promulgate slander, malevolent misinformation, persecution, &injustice while forsake protection, support, & representation for me. Patient advocacy while seemingly benign, as with else among that aspect of administration definitely not allies or aware much less promote purported law, policy, regulation, or code, else among other betrayal, complicit & indulgent about harm, violations, & reprisal happening. Beware, there are dishonest & dangerous personnel among health, medical, legal, supposed social services, agency, community action, foundation, front, facade, scheme, & other scam obfuscating conniving profiteer NGOs on the dole, no allies amid exploitation, kleptocracy, & systemic corruption. For anybody among the innocent, intelligent, naive, & impressionable considering military involvement with USA, from recruitment, training, & through active duty, they will encounter & endure abuse, harm, stolen credit, & violations with reprisal & betrayal upon report, so prepare when such pessimism deserved & substantiated with ordeal & trauma imposed upon me, ... stolen valor & stolen lives, ... deny deny until they die ... bury evidence & Truth with the body. Very accurate & appropriate aphorisms, don't demean or disregard but prepare when characterizing outright evil people that injure, violate, & commit atrocity then obstruct, evade accountability, & retaliate amid malfeasance, kleptocracy, systematic injustice, & systemic corruption. Considering abuse, harm, UCMJ, crime, & other violations endured that were indulged during active duty, then should prompt about subsequent risk, hazard, injury, & immorality as I have endured among Veteran Exploitation Industrial Complex. Easily as injury, atrocity, & violations commit then obstruct & retaliate, then anybody would encounter abuse, harm, disparity, immorality, & injustice with bias, discrimination, prejudice,& motivated by racist-hate that evade accountability since willfully imposed, devised, & indulged; conniving intrusive parasitic exploitation, socio-economic disparity, irresponsibility & undeserved indulgence, breach & forsake obligations among other deceit, disrespect, disparity, hostility, & danger from deviant ethics, competency, morality, & values that betray, harm, & violate.USA only place & people that commit human rights violations with atrocity amid Veteran Exploitation Industrial Complex, this facility will betray, abduct, & torture under threat of lethal force, physical assault & battery, inflict injury & trauma, forceful injection of harmful drugs meant to incapacitate & debilitate, they betrayed, imprisoned, injured, tortured, violated for thirty days & threatened further harm, persecution, defame, & slander among other endangerment upon weaponize mental health while obstruct & evade accountability when responsible for inflicting injury & trauma, misconduct, systematic injustice, & systemic corruption in Ross County, Fairfield, & Franklin, as throughout Ohio, that harass, threaten, & terrorize me, along with members of my family, while further endanger, harm, violate, neglect, obstruct, & retaliate.

I am pleased up till now with the overall service. The mobility scooters has taken special care to find me what I need to be mobile on the farm I work on for my sister.i am responsible for checking the fences, repairing just about anything on the farm. I have to do most of the repairs laying down on a mat. The hard part the mobility clinic is working on helping me with is being able to get started on the farm. I'm hoping for a Pride Baja Wrangler 2. This vehicle has the best ground clearance and the best traction for getting around the farm. It also has twin brushless electric motors giving it ample power to get me around. I am quite heavy(obese) so I need a better scooter than the VA normally has to share. They are going to the mat for me by contacting the writers of the VA policies when it comes to what I can be approved for. So they are doing me a solid in trying to help me. May God Bless them!

This is by far the worst VA facility in America. As an inpatient checking in they will take all of your medications without inventory. And if you are a mental health patient be prepared to be totally ignored. The providers sit in booths and care absolutely nothing for what is occuring in the facility. They care nothing about patients. The entire experience was literally mind boggling when you witness that the workers are far more concerned about what they're planning to do on their time off. It is a facility that will be reported to the Office Of Mental Health with descriptions of wholly inadequate and inappropriate care for Veterans suffering from mental illness and other related issues. They will confiscate whatever medication that you bring with you, including over-the-counter meds you paid for and will not return them at discharge. They will give you a limited quantity of meds but will not return your over-the-counter medication. They also confiscated a controlled substance from me and didn't return any of it. And they reduced the dosages of medications I was previously prescribed by my home VA Hospital. They also kept personal possessions of mine. This is a thoroughly corrupt VA Hospital and needs investigated by the Office Of The Inspector General. This has been requested. No Veterans should be subjected to inadequate and possibly criminal treatment by a bunch of useless providers who care about nothing except the coming weekend when they will be off duty.
