About Champ Clinic

CHAMP Clinic in Honolulu, Hawaii, provides treatment and supportive services to adults who are struggling with co-occurring conditions and substance use disorders. Their mission is to help individuals from all walks of life by providing ongoing support to help them elevate and enrich their lives.

They offer medically supervised detox to reduce the dangers of withdrawal from chemical dependency. Medical staff and other licensed clinicians can help guide you along the way, providing coping techniques and harm reduction information.

Their methadone maintenance therapy is traditionally utilized for individuals struggling with the effects of opioid dependency. This can help smoothen the transition to move forward and begin prioritizing your recovery.

What sticks out to me the most is their focus on providing emotional support with an open door policy. They have a team of counselors who can discuss areas you want to improve or goals you wish to achieve during treatment. They specialize in support for opiate dependency. Their team of counselors also offers specialized knowledge about community and government resources to make referrals on your behalf.

Located on the beautiful island of Hawaii, the clinic is surrounded by opportunities for reflection and relaxation during your recovery. Nearby Lanikai Beach, Sandy Beach and Manoa Falls provide ways to connect with nature or pursue sober hobbies like hiking, surfing and swimming.

I've been a client for 15y yrs now not because it doesn't work but because it does work. Workstar Dr McCaffrey had me on 40mg Oxymorphone 20 tabs/day with 30mg Oxycodone IR 6 tabs/day for breakthrough pain along with Xanax 3mg CR 3 tabslegal/day and Chloral Hydrate (liquid mickeys) and Soma 350mg 8 tabs/day and Ambien 12.5mg 1 at bedtime for over 12 yrs1 It's no wonder my body became physically dependant, needed alot of opiates just to function, and was then given a last month prescription cuz the Oxycontin didn't show up in my UA and sent on my way believing that I was redirecting my prescription. They didn't even want to hear that my scrips weren't even filled cuz they were stolen. They didn't care. For that clinic is only concerned with pumping out the painkillers to the ones who do redirect or sell their painkillers. Hard to believe that this "legal" drug ring is expanding and has gro!!wn from the two roomed office to the bottom floor of Queens West and now also includes a bottom floor at Restaurant Row. Unbelievable. It's not always the patient but this time the Dr. Of which it use!d to be him and 1 PA, TODD, but now consists of 10 PA and about 12 Dr's. He's banking on the legal drug scene!

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Customized individual therapy programs involve one on one sessions with a therapist to address the psychological aspects of addictive behavior. Your therapist uses evidence based treatment modalities to help you develop healthy coping strategies and manage addiction triggers within the community.

So before I moved to Las Vegas, I had let champs clinic know a month before I moved. Can I do a rollover so I can continue being on the same dose so that way I don t have to start over again from 30mg. They agreed! So I moved to vegas and I had all the paperwork stating I left Hawaii on 60mg of methadone a day, but vegas wanted to hear it from a Champs Employee that I left Hawaii that YES I was on 60mg a day. So the Las Vegas clinic called 3 time and left a message all 3 times. Champs never contacted them back. So I called 4 time and actually talked to an employee and all the times they promised to fax it over and have a doctor to call them back. It never happened it s been a month so far and I had to start from the bottom again. It sucked bad. Champ clinic as a native Hawaiian from Waianae Hawaii and I take pride from the island. You champ s clinic I give you a thumb down. When i decide to move back home to Hawaii I hope if I m still on methadone that Hawaii opens other clinics for people with opioid addiction, cause I refuse to deal with Champs clinic
