I've been going to this place for atleast 6mos. Everything has been great til today when I went to make sure I had the right dates for my medicine appointment so I didn't miss it and i was in formed that because someone in there office didn't have me do some assessment that they canceled all my appointments until it's completed and throwing in that I get to go almost 2 week with out being medicated. When I stress this concern for myself and my family while understanding things happen then the Reception front desk lady nikki put it on me that when I had my first appointment with them that it was in the handbook. So it's on me that I get to just suffer and when I asked her to asked the doctor what I can do in the mean time since I'm just going cold turkey. While also just starting a new taper medicine. She stated that he can't do anything and he knows the policy so guess that means just him giving me advise too or ideas on how to get by. I'm in utter shock about this and still have no answers and now get to add this mess to my already hard days.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Ohio provides comprehensive treatment to address the physical and psychological needs of those struggling with substance use disorders. This may involve inpatient and/or outpatient care.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.
hearing-impaired-program thumbnail image
Hearing Impaired Program
A sensory disability, such as hearing impairment, can compound the challenges of addiction recovery. Drug rehabs that are specially designed to accommodate the needs of persons with hearing impairments will include special accessibility features and accommodations to make treatment as comfortable and effective as possible. This may include access to American Sign Language interpreters.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

I just wanted to thank promedica healthcare facility for caring for my mother so well. The nurses was so kind and understanding and patience with my mother recovering from major lung cancer surgery. When she arrived she couldn t walk or hold a cup on her own. Now with the rehabilitation staff and nurses she doing all that. I couldn t ask for a better place to take my loved one. She loved her stay and going to miss all the nurses there. Our family couldn t thank you enough for all you done for our Mother Shirley Collier. Thank you again!!!!

This review is mostly for the residential part but for a overall statement is this company is a poor choice for those seeking help. Morale is low with staff. Quality of care is highly limited. Proper accommodations aren t given. Clients are housed with other clients who are not appropriate for this type of facility. Building is run down. The CEO has not invested money into creating a helpful environment nor adequately compensating his employees which trickles down adding more fuel to the fire. Some do not have a choice but to use Access Ohio but if you can, please choose another facility for your well-being or those you are seeking help for.

I don't know what to write...really. A lady who was placed here for monitoring and evaluation was mistreated. I think the issue was that they wanted her out of the place and into her own place, but she had issues finding a suitable place. In addition, she had a vehicle on the premises which this organization had towed. The lady lost that vehicle. They cared little that this was a patient who was recovering. As we speak, the lady remised into her former state and I am not even sure where she is. Sad, but it seems they put money before their core business they set up to run...taking care of people with mental issues. As I am made to understand, the monthly cost of the room where this patient was living was being paid by the Delaware county government and it was soon running out.

You may die if you depend on this place for meds. They will keep you jumping through hoops for months and then blame you if the problems they neglect spiral out of control. You have to prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that you don't need medication before they will give you medication! Even if you tell them it's a matter of life an death.Another place helped my son within a few days, succeeding where Access Ohio failed for several months.

I like Amy and my case manager. Receptionists are nice. But I know other places that are more competent. I will definitely advise against. Perhaps I was a bit harsh in my earlier assessment (This is the first major revidion), but here is not where you should go if you need quick help for some kind of helpful psychiatric intervention, be it addiction or depression. I find them more confrontational and aggressive, and eventually that lead me to a rather overt sense of rage and amtagonism, but I feel like that is rather anticipated when an organization fails to quell a serious problem that needed serious resolution (in my case seizures caused by what I mistakenly assumed was harmless.)I misheard a comment by one of the psychiatrists, but that is really not enough to compensate for their mishandling of the situation. Nevertheless, I maintain that this is a place where you can find good counseling (Amy is still really great), not good psychiatry or treatment for addiction. Even if aforementioned psychiatric disorder or addiction threatens you with seizures (seizures proxy to death brain damage, so pr3tty serious, no?). You may end up having to self-medicate until you can find a real doctor who actually sees what the problem is. In my case, they messed around for months as I continued having seizures (I had over 12) so I started trying to find things that quell seizures. Ended up finding legal substances that quelled the seizures, but I am not a doctor so that had its own negative effects. Effects which they used as fodder for concluding I needed hospitalization. I am not sure my other (new) doctor would agree. Considering I am writing this level-headed and outside the perimeter of a facility, I would vote no.1/5, would not recommend ever to anyone for anything except counseling and case management. Aside from that, go nuts, they can have potential. But personally I gave up on them for all else other than those two services.
