This dr. office feels like a hang out for the people that work here. I can't get the right treatment because the assigned girls depending on what day I come in change to often. I need help to get my brain better and they have nasty attitudes and leave me alone doing only picture puzzles for 1 hr. I come all this way to build puzzles while the ones who are supposed to help me are heard laughing by the waiting area. They have a no smoking sign but I have saw smoking in the open from the big Hispanic girl. What dr. allows that clownery and the old front desk lady can never answer my questions. Dont come here .

Addiction Treatments

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

When you choose drug rehab in New York, you'll participate in a variety of treatments that are designed to help you live a drug-free lifestyle. Common methods of treatment include group, individual, and family counseling, medication management, nutrition, exercise, and management of co-occurring mental health disorders.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

The evaluation for my father was amazing. My father has been through a very tough time since his accident and has been suffering from anxiety. Miguel made him feel very comfortable and at ease. My father gets very frustrated when he cannot recall information. But Miguel made reassured him that they are trying to help him. Miguel took the time to briefly find out who my father is and if it wasn t for him, my father would have not gone through with the test. Thank you Miguel! He definitely deserves a promotion!

This place is a disgusting convoluted mess. The doctor my dad was assigned to clearly does not want to be there. All he does for therapy are useless puzzles that don't prep him for his evaluation. When it was finally time for his evaluation, the white girl who administered the test had an obnoxious attitude and made my dad feel insecure. He has terrible anxiety and she was very unprofessional. Finally when he was seen by the doctor, they just recommended him more useless therapy. All they care about is making money. The only ones who show my dad any kind of warmth are the front desk downstairs but that s it

Steven, I am sorry to hear that your father did not have a good experience during his evaluation process. At CCC, we value our patients and work to ensure they are treated with the utmost respect. While I understand that you may believe the therapy your father is receiving is not of value, but I assure that you that every patient has a tailored treatment plan. All activities and exercise are geared towards helping the patient. We appreciate you acknowledging our front desk staff. Our goal is always to make people feel welcome. We would be more than happy to sit with you and your father and talk about the therapy plan. Thank you for your feedback; this is helpful to us as we continue to make The Center for Cognition and Communication a better place.

I am sure those who left reviews higher than 1 start works for this place. The people on the frontline are absolutely unprofessional and have np clue as to what they are doing . They are rude and tell you to understand since they are short staffed and they are as sleepy as they sound

I have to give credit to Dr Christine Lee, your methods are amazing and life changing. All the staff at the Queens location are terrific and professional. Today I realized the importance of the puzzles and games. Cognitive therapy helped me realized the severity of a TBI. .Thank you to the staff for your help and concern.
