Medical briefcase icon Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

There are many types of drug rehab in North Carolina. To receive treatment for addiction, you can choose from many inpatient and outpatient programs. Often, participants start with detox and work through a full continuum of care that continues with ongoing support for long-term recovery.

mental-health iconMental Health and Substance Abuse

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

I was miserable unbeknownst to me my health was deteriorating. When I experienced severe pains they said it was my illness creating illusions in my mind (yes they treat you like some crazy mental patient) & that they are the professionals with degrees. But the severe abdominal pains worsened. At the hospital when asked about my medications to my surprise they told me to immediately dispose of them because it wasn't made for my condition & it was making my condition worse!!! They said had I taken the combination of those bottle for another year my health would be in serious jeopardy. This place needs to be shut down... It's run like a business more than a place for aiding people back to health. Their mission is to make people worse so they can get more money from us. I wasted thousands of dollars here thinking I was in good hands. But they didn't know what they were doing! It's been almost a year since I last been @ CFBH. I been seeing a good doctor out of town for a months now as it is difficult to find any good doctors in Sanford. I am improving a lot faster with my new doctor than I was @ CFBH. I wouldn't recommend this place to none of my family friends not even my worst enemy and that says a lot.

I would not recommend receiving care through this office. The office is poorly managed as I experienced several administrative issues with paperwork and scheduling, not to mention waiting over 45 minutes for my first appointment. The office staff was unclear as to which members of our family were to show up for the first appointment and gave us wrong information. The administrative staff also failed to mail new patient paperwork in advance of the first appointment even after calling the office to request this paperwork twice. In addition, we showed up for an appointment with a print out reminder in hand provided by the office staff, waited for 30 minutes for this appointment, and then were told that for whatever reason the appointment was not saved in the computer and we would have to wait 2.5 hours for an open slot or come back a different day. Needless to say I was highly disappointed with my experience with this office and will be seeking care elsewhere because of this.
