About Catholic Community Services

Catholic Community Services is an organization in Washington that has lots of different services from addiction treatment to homeless shelters to immigration law counseling. This particular location in Everett, Washington, is a CCS Recovery Center, which means it provides drug and alcohol addiction treatment.

This is an outpatient facility, so they don’t have residential rehab. They do have several levels of outpatient treatment so they can support you throughout the earlier and later stages of your recovery journey. In most cases you’ll start with a more intensive level of care like their intensive outpatient program. As you grow in your recovery and don’t need as much support, you’ll transition into traditional outpatient treatment which is where you have outpatient therapy less often than in the intensive outpatient program.

This treatment center offers care for adults and youth, too. For clients of any age, the program is very family centered. They aim to help you and your family come together as a team to foster recovery and wellness while also repairing damage to these family relationships that came from addiction.

Many clients say that this treatment center treats them with respect and dignity while giving them the support they need to build a sober life. Others note that your experience largely depends on how well you connect with your case manager.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
It can be difficult for family and friends to carry out a successful drug intervention in Washington on their own. Intervention services can help. These services typically include education about addiction and enabling behaviors, expert facilitation for interventions, and recommendations for appropriate treatment. Often, the involvement of intervention services can create a smooth transition into rehab.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Effective drug rehab in Washington integrates care for the whole person, offering comprehensive solutions to addiction. Treatment methods address mental, physical, and relational aspects of substance abuse.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
hearing-impaired-program thumbnail image
Hearing Impaired Program
A sensory disability, such as hearing impairment, can compound the challenges of addiction recovery. Drug rehabs that are specially designed to accommodate the needs of persons with hearing impairments will include special accessibility features and accommodations to make treatment as comfortable and effective as possible. This may include access to American Sign Language interpreters.
postpartum-program thumbnail image
Postpartum Program
The postpartum period is a sensitive time, especially for women in addiction recovery. Rehabs with specialized programs for new mothers will offer compassionate, personalized care to meet each client's needs as they transition from pregnancy to this season of life. Care teams may include obstetricians, pediatricians, and social workers working collaboratively to give women, children, and families a healthy future.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

They don't care if patients heal or not, the main interest of these people is money, the people who run this place is kind and nice but I think this should go hand in hand with honesty. I think the least they do is help people.

This place really changed my life! Both me and my husband attend treatment and I'd have to say it's an experience worth living. I graduated IOP and op and my husband just graduated IOP and I find im really appreciative because of the positive feedback great guidance and certificate upon completion does for myself and for my family. I've asked for letters for court for visitations with my sons and daughter and they've always were willing to put the extra step forward like Carly Blankenship. Thank you so much for all you do there. I can't thank you enough.

I found this organization has zero integrity. They hide behind a non-profit and religouisfront, but in reality are just the same as most of these for profit treatment centers in this country. No matter what your situation they will always recommend some type of treatment. A supervisor makes this final decision that will have a major impact on your life without even meeting you or looking at you in the eyes. To me this is a pretty small person. The courts do whatever these treatment centers say. The treatment centers will always recommend treatment, this there customers and profits are constantly feed by are judicial system. We have x- addicts who got sober and decided to get a certificate at a community college being given the power to dictate people's lives for years at a time, by are judicial system. Im not saying these people don't mean well, what I am saying is addiction is a disease that needs to be handled by medical proffesional's, like all other diseases. Are judicial system needs to stop making all these company's rich that pray on people's problems. Shame on Catholic Community Services and shame on the judicial system. This system has been broken and good people taken advantage of for to long. Untile people are willing to say we are done being taken advantage of and are done living under systems that don't work, it will never change. I believe in sobriety and I believe there are good people at these organizations trying to help within the broken system they are forced to work under, but I also believe until people are willing to stand together and say enough is enough it will continue.

I have been going here awhile. It s a very dirty and rather pathetic building. The counselors lack imagination, creation, and intelligence. The people you meet in group all depend on the government far more than they should. It takes me so much effort not to get upset due to the fact that I find it to be a joke. There are far better outpatient centers out there. Coming to CCS has been one of the worst choices I have made in 2018. If you work, which is rare for most of the drug addicts who attend sessions, forget about keeping a job. I make 1/5th of what I used to because of this place. Do you know what it s like making several thousand dollars a month,4-6k, then going down to 2k. Back to the center, your group leaders lack ingenuity and genius. They speak and preach about sobriety yet only have ~5 years. I hate everyone in that entire place except for the receptionists. They re always kind and sweet. Bottom line- stay far away from here.

Great drug and alcohol treatment center. They don't judge you, they care about you and your needs. IT WORKS IF YOU WORK IT!!!!

The case workers at this place are Norm and Julie, and if you get stuck with Julie, then I feel bad for you . .She seems more concerned with taking Fridays off, stuffing her face, and drinking her sodas than actually servicing clients. If you manage to catch Julie with her mouth empty, then brace for impact, because she doesn't -seemingly- know what she is doing. I suppose they hire anyone off the streets anymore.Good luck in your addiction struggles, you won't get much aid here =/
