I seriously urge people to never use this place for their loved ones. I worked here while getting clinical hours for my CNA and I can attest to the HORRIBLE and TOXIC workplace environment especially from management. People leave this place all the time because of how horrible it is. As a CNA, if you are sick or hurt, get ready to deal with people gaslighting you and making you feel overall horrible for even considering the possibility to take care of yourself. There are just so many unprofessional and horrible people who work there. I witnessed neglect take place as well, in one instance there was a resident who was left in their own waste for hours on end because the CNA who was taking care of them had a 16 hour shift that they obviously could not handle. This place needs to either make a serious change in their management or get shut down.

My mom is about to enter this facility for rehab from multiple illnesses. I m hoping she is able to have kind, trained, professional staff help get her on her feet. Please please please take good care of my mother, she s been through so much.Update: do not let your loved one stay here. My mom was put in a room by herself with hardly anyone checking in on her while on hospice. I took her out of here within three weeks! They just left her in bed all day to rot with no rehab, no interaction, nothing! She was in far better shape when I brought her in, and was almost back to that shape when I took her out to a new facility. After three weeks of being being here with hardly any interaction when I came to visit her she was absolutely falling apart. I took her to a previous rehab facility and they took great care of her. This place should be investigated and shut down

Addiction Treatments

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Effective drug rehab in Washington integrates care for the whole person, offering comprehensive solutions to addiction. Treatment methods address mental, physical, and relational aspects of substance abuse.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

I have never been to this facility, but as an ER nurse I would give this facility a 1 star or less. We constantly receive patients at the emergency department from this facility, sometimes for reasons we don't even understand. Then, when patients are placed up for discharge, we are unable to get in contact with the facility to send them back. The phone number rings for a few straight minutes and then goes to a dial tone without any option to leave a message for a call back. Sometimes, we can call on our personal phone and then magically they will pick up so that we can give report and send out patients back home. It's a constant struggle to send patients back. It feels dangerously close to abandonment at the ER. This facility needs to rethink the way that they broadcast their contact information and should really budget for a 24-hour receptionist. I can only imagine how frustrating it is for family members when they are unable to contact the facility where their loved ones live. Avamere needs to do better for their residents.-frustrated RN just trying to care for patients

My husband was there once and myself twice. In both of our cases, we had great care and good hot food. The only rehab that I will go to.

I arrived at Avamere with low expectations. I am delighted to report, I was overwhelmed with the care I received. Professional, skilled, companionate. My physical and emotional needs were met respectfully and kindly. I have no problem recommending them to a yone.

The nurses and aides at Avamere are kind and friendly and the facility is very clean. Unfortunately we experienced continued issues with my mother's care and safety, and would not recommend this space if your family member needs transport to a dialysis or other medical appointments. My mother was left alone in a lobby for hours unattended in the evening following a transport drop-off, and missed multiple dialysis appts due to a poor coordination with the volunteer-based transportation service they use. We tried working with all levels of staff, including the administrator, to find solutions and there just doesn't seem to be a system in place to keep track of patient needs.

Care staff and food was excellent. My only complaint was that it took 10 to 45 minutes for staff to come after my call light was turned on. This is caused by ownership having a high patient to staff ratio.

Our experience. I had to place my 91-year-old mother in rehabilitation. The receptionist, Ashley stated the admitting nurse would meet with me in a couple of minutes in my mother s room. My special needs brother and I walked to my mother s new room. She was sitting in a wheelchair. I walked by the admissions office a few times. They scowl at you. I think it s to send a message, DO NOT EVEN ASK US ANY QUESTIONS! None of the administrative staff are polite or kind. They ignore you and walk by you as if you do not exist. This is a traumatic time for a daughter to leave their mother in a facility. Where was the empathy? The room was small. There were no chairs for visitors. My mother had a roommate. Her television was on the wall adjacent to my mother s bed. Neither televisions have sound systems attached to the beds. My mother can not sit in a wheelchair for long periods of time. We waited for about thirty minutes. I finally went into the hallway and found a caregiver. I politely asked her for help. I explained my mother was in a great amount of pain. She said I will be right with you. I had to help my mother in bed. I had to work with the caregiver to LIFT my mother up into the bed. The reason why my mother was sent here was I could not lift her because I was already in great discomfort because I had to lift up my mother after she was discharged from the hospital. We got my mother into bed. There was no pillow. Luckily, I had brought her an afghan. I rolled up the afghan for my mother s head. The caregiver said she would go find a pillow. She never returned. We waited for another 30 minutes.

Taking great care of my Mom. As well as other residents at this facility. Comprehensive follow up blood work and keeping ahead of any setback. She's had a few. The doctors who visit at the facility and provide follow up care are providing comprehensive care. Shes had 4 hospital visits in 4 weeks. She's 2 weeks at Avamere now and recovering. She was released too soon and Avamere recognized when she needed to return to the hospital. It saved her life. They held a bed for her return and this was vital in her continuing to recover. The care staff are very kind and well thought.
