The program will work for you if you are willing. I am really grateful to the program for teaching me how to live, they gave me structure and great relationships for life. The neighborhood is not that great but I only went there direct for treatment.

The outpatient treatment program at Caring Services offers individual group and one on one counseling for those committed to drug and alcohol recovery. This outpatient treatment program also customizes each treatment program and is ideal for those who have completed a detox, inpatient, or partial hospitalization program.
During this program, licensed and certified professionals will continuously monitor an individual’s recovery. Each person will learn to develop a healthy lifestyle, improve personal relationships, and maintain sobriety.
In addition, some of the therapies individuals will be exposed to include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and anger management counseling.
At Caring Services, this addiction treatment center’s intensive outpatient program (IOP) gives clients the tools they need to achieve long term sobriety. All those enrolled in this program will learn the reported underlying causes of drug and alcohol addiction and how to prevent relapses.
To do this, individual, group, and family counseling are provided alongside crisis planning. This IOP is usually operational three to five days a week, and individuals must attend all daily sessions for at least three weeks. Depending on individual needs, this drug rehab center’s IOP lasts between nine to 12 weeks.

Levels of Care
Outpatient
Outpatient treatment is designed for those who do not require, or who have completed, higher levels of care such as detoxification, inpatient treatment, and/or intensive outpatient treatment. At Caring Services Inc. they tailor a combination of group and individual sessions to meet the participants needs. This allows participants to engage in treatment and remain involved in their home and work life.
Inpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
Intensive Outpatient
The Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program is a treatment service that consists of structured group sessions and individual sessions that are designed to teach participants early recovery and relapse prevention skills. Participants are required to attend to group no less than three days a week for three hours a day. Initially, they require participants in this program to attend group session daily for the first three weeks of SAIOP treatment.
Aftercare
Rehab aftercare programs offer a complete continuum of care for clients in the maintenance phase of recovery and are predicated on the idea that addiction disease is a chronic condition prone to relapse and warranting continuing care. Clients collaborate with their care team and case manager to access the specific rehab aftercare services they need to promote their sustained sobriety. Peer coaching, relapse prevention services, career counseling, and 12 step program induction are common in these programs.
12-Step
12 step programs are based on a model of life-long recovery and are rooted in peer support and spiritual development. Regular attendance at 12 step meetings is the cornerstone of treatment, as is the selection of a peer sponsor to guide participants through the steps of recovery. These steps are based on non-denominational spiritual principles and are designed to foster self-awareness, forgiveness, acceptance, and accountability. Specialized programs are widely available, including programs for teens, seniors, and families.
Sober Living Homes
The Caring Services Inc. Transitional Housing Program serves men and women who are 18 and older, experiencing homelessness, and enrolled in substance abuse treatment with the agency. Residential services are provided at 11 locations, all within a mile of the main treatment center. Transitional housing is provided alongside substance abuse treatment services, case management, individual counseling, and independent living skills education.
Medically Assisted Detox
A medically assisted detox is the safest way to remove addictive drugs and alcohol from your body. A team of licensed medical professionals will look after you 24/7 to monitor your health, help minimize discomfort, and provide medications if necessary to alleviate any withdrawal symptoms. This process is typically the first step in your recovery and may take around 5-7 days, although length will depend on your individual needs.

Treatment
Alcoholism
The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.
Drug Addiction
There are many types of drug rehab in North Carolina. To receive treatment for addiction, you can choose from many inpatient and outpatient programs. Often, participants start with detox and work through a full continuum of care that continues with ongoing support for long-term recovery.
Dual Diagnosis
Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.
Mental Health and Substance Abuse
A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.
Opioid Addiction
Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.
Clinical Services
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.
Group Therapy
Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
Individual Therapy
In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.
Trauma Therapy
Trauma therapy helps you reclaim your life after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event. Therapists help to process these memories, which promotes emotional healing and reduces anxiety in social situations. This improves your overall well being and increases your self confidence.
Family Therapy
Substance use and addiction does not only affect the person using drugs but their entire family and support network. Their Family Education Program strives to educate the family members and loved ones about the addiction, treatment and recovery process. They want to help family members and loved ones understand how to best support the person seeking recovery and to provide some resources and strategies that will promote good communication and family healing. All workshops are held on Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm. The workshops are free of charge and lunch will be provided.
Life Skills
Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.
