This place is a good place. When I attempted suicide (around two years ago, I was 11 at the time) they took good care of me, my night and day nurse(s) were super nice to me and cared about me.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Levels of Care

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Through cognitive behavioral therapy in West Virginia, therapists encourage clients to identify negative thoughts, gain control over them, and develop ways to change their behaviors. This can be an effective way to break the cycle of addiction and overcome substance use disorder.

The core philosophies of dialectical behavior therapy in West Virginia are that everything is interconnected, change is inevitable, and you can integrate opposites to reach the truth. Treatment focuses on acceptance and change. You'll learn how emotions and behaviors are connected, accept your feelings, and learn how to change patterns of emotion and behavior.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

The deadliest hospital I've ever been to, rampant with malpractice. I'd love to get ahold of a lawyer for a class action. I'd also love to find a lawyer willing to help people who were irreparably damaged by this hospital. Almost all of my loved ones have died here, and at least half of those deaths were probably preventable.

By the grace of God I ended up at Camden Clark. Which is almost 2 hours aways from my home. I am so grateful that I did. I have never in my life had such wonderful and compassionate care. Every staff member here in every department is the absolute best!!! If ever I need medical care, I will drive the distance to be in their hands. Thank you each and everyone from the bottom of my heartMisty Taylor

My husband came in and was very sick with double pneumonia May 10. The doctor he was assigned to took care of him the first day and then left town. He was in bad shape and most of our doctors are at Cleveland Clinic. We requested that he be transferred up there. Dr. Know-it-all who was filling in for the doctor that left said they could take care of him there! We made it clear that we wanted him transferred! So the Dr. told us he called CC and told them the family wanted him transferred, but they could take care of him there. So Cleveland Clinic refused him because the doctor refused to support the transfer. They held him there an additional 6 days and came in and said he needed to be transferred. But there were no beds available. By the next night they said he needed to be in intensive care but there were still no beds available. Finally the next morning, a bed became available but Cleveland was fogged in. They couldn t transport him by ambulance because all his equipment couldn t fit. Finally that afternoon they were able to life flight him up. Because of that doctors arrogance we lost 8 valuable days and on July 10 my husband died! Never go to Camden Clark! Go to BELPRE s ER and have them transport you to Cleveland Clinic or OSU in Columbus. Stay out of these small town hospitals unless you want to die. Go where tge A team is!

ICU doesn't allow visitors after hours (rule from COVID 4 YEARS ago) without meanful purpose or legal reason. what is the difference between aloud people to be there during the day and no at night? They deprive family members to support their patients in critical condition throughout the night when they need it the most, In the time when other more caring and compasionate hospitals treat family members with more respect and make their traumatic experience at least less stressful. Camden ICU forces the few visitors from the whole unit to get out of rooms to waiting areas were you no even get updates. The lack of care and compassion in that cold place dealing with sadness and stress just add more stress to the already bad situation. I have been there several times with different people during the past several years, and always it has been a bad experience, it is getting worse, nothing improves in that area. Overall, a very bad experience :/ one time, I found my patient bleeding all over before they kick out the visitors, came 8 hrs later, she was still covered in blood nobody even change her clothes or sheets. Also, in other situation with a different person, I found my patient with 102 fever and no one even noticed, no one knew anything he had 3 blankets on him, I was the person who removed the blankets & requested medicine. Fever took all night to go down a little, but every time you call for update, you no find the nurse or they just don't know.. The patients are isolated in their rooms (restbreg, I know) but frightening, scare & lonely for no justifiable reason other that giving staff a break. A kind gesture of allowing a familymember hold their hand could help enormously to calm that person down and lower their anxiety level. :(

My son was transferred from a smaller facility as a direct admission to 3 North. He had post operative complications and needed to be seen by specialist. He was seen by both specialist needed within hours of admission and received excellent care from the moment of arrival. His medical needs were met and the care was beyond our expectations. The NP caring for him from admission to discharge was exceptional in all categories; knowledge, caring, understanding, compassion, accuracy, and consideration for all aspects of patient care including my son s support system. The nurses were excellent and again, exceeding our expectations in skill, care given, compassion, pain management, compassion, caring, empathy, and consideration for my son s support system. Thank you Camden Clark for your excellence.
