I've been to many detox and recovery programs over the years, and Ford Street Project gave me one of the best experiences I've had. They made me feel like part of a big family, not scrutinized over every little thing like at other places, such as HRC. The only drawbacks were the sleeping arrangements and the mattresses, but that's easily fixed with a personal mattress pad for extra comfort.The men and women are housed separately in large dormitories with partitions, so you still have a sense of personal space. This setup helped me bond with the other women, making us feel closer. Maybe I was lucky to have been with serious, committed individuals, but I know the staff would have addressed any issues if they had arisen amongst the roomates. Aside from the sleeping conditions, I absolutely loved this place. Even with the sleeping arrangements being a little rough it is absolutely still totally worth it and just by bringing an extra mattress pad from home u have turned an uncomfortable situation into one completely bearable. Also, you can smoke anytime, which is great when you're up half the night detoxing and don't want to be locked in with an alarm set at 9 PM. If you're considering this place for detox, bring a comfy mattress pad and give them a try they're awesome and made me feel at home. Thanks, Ford Street Project!

i have been to several other treatment centers and also worked for a few as a tech and supervisor... when i came here i expected the same thing but was shocked to learn of things i have never heard of that actually helped me to stay sober. ACTUAL TOOLS I CAN PULL OUT AND USE WHEN TRIGGERED. i have been promised this several times but never have i ever actually been given actual coping skills. the lady who teaches DBT is a god send... her classes are powerful and she gives clients things to practice that for me have actually work. my therapist has pulled things out of me that i never thought i had the strength to share with another human which lead to an ultimate surrender and peace i have never known. the case managers are rock solid and make me feel seen heard and cared for. Banyon was the last house on the block for me.... I had burned everything down and expected to get clean and sober the same way i had tried 20 previous times but the staff and the group of men and women that were there with me literally saved my life. i HIGHLY recommend this treatment center. im writing this review with hopes that someone who has never been to treatment before will see this and let Banyon palm springs be there first and last... i Pray you dont have to do this as many times as i have had to do or burn everything down like i have. please give these people and honest shot cause they care and are the best i have ever seen in this field. If they can help me....a hope to die junkie/drunk... then they can help anybody (if you just follow and trust what they tell you)thank you Banyon.... you have given me the tools to be happy no matter what life throws my way

I ve been meaning to write a review in gratitude of this home away home since I left not even a month ago though it feels like much longer. First off; if you or someone you love is seeking help/care you will not find a better program anywhere in my opinion. If you have any reservations, doubts, fears; put them all aside and allow theses beautiful people to care for you. They supported me in my most vulnerable state and regardless of how trying it became and much I felt I was weighing upon them they handled it all with grace and respect. The most difficult part was leaving, and I think that says it all. I have had the joy of working with Erica & Pina who are the supervisors of the residents at this Teen Challenge center. As well as working with the women enrolled in the program. What a blessing they have been! They have learned to care and maintain gardens as I have worked with them and training them in the needed knowledge and skills. But, more importantly I have watched them blossom and become heathy joyful women as they go through the healing process of addiction. As the mother of a former addicted child, who went through 3 other forms of rehabilitation, and only became healed and healthy through a Christ centered program I am blessed to be a part of helping these women heal. This is also what Teen Challenge offers here. It is a blessing to the residents as well as those whom they are able to help in providing their gardening needs.

very good place. shoutout to kylee, alex, victor, and especially therapist lisa. they could do more about the sharps though because there was legit so many sharps getting passed around while I was there. anyways this place kind of inspired me to go and work at a treatment facility because this place helped my mental health and drug issues a lot. <3anyways it does NOT cost that much to get A/C. if this place doesn't get A/C within a year I'm going to go outside this facility, get on channel 16 with a radio, and scream profanities directed to the CEO.

This is actually the best Clinic I've ever been to Thomas has been the best counselor I've had I was at ages before as well but due to getting ran over by a car I was put back on opiate medications and well any addict knows what happens after that when I returned to ages I went through a plethora of counselors but Thomas was solid and stuck around when I came to him I had 14 take homes and lost them because I fell off. Thank God I had Thomas as a counselor he held me accountable for my actions was patient and gentle and see me through my relapse now I have six take homes and I'm doing way better I really believe that if Thomas wasn't my counselor during my relapse I wouldn't be clean right now because of the way he handled the situation allow me to trust him take his advice and now I've been clean for almost 4 months now thank you Thomas and thank you Aegis for employing Thomas.
