i have been to several other treatment centers and also worked for a few as a tech and supervisor... when i came here i expected the same thing but was shocked to learn of things i have never heard of that actually helped me to stay sober. ACTUAL TOOLS I CAN PULL OUT AND USE WHEN TRIGGERED. i have been promised this several times but never have i ever actually been given actual coping skills. the lady who teaches DBT is a god send... her classes are powerful and she gives clients things to practice that for me have actually work. my therapist has pulled things out of me that i never thought i had the strength to share with another human which lead to an ultimate surrender and peace i have never known. the case managers are rock solid and make me feel seen heard and cared for. Banyon was the last house on the block for me.... I had burned everything down and expected to get clean and sober the same way i had tried 20 previous times but the staff and the group of men and women that were there with me literally saved my life. i HIGHLY recommend this treatment center. im writing this review with hopes that someone who has never been to treatment before will see this and let Banyon palm springs be there first and last... i Pray you dont have to do this as many times as i have had to do or burn everything down like i have. please give these people and honest shot cause they care and are the best i have ever seen in this field. If they can help me....a hope to die junkie/drunk... then they can help anybody (if you just follow and trust what they tell you)thank you Banyon.... you have given me the tools to be happy no matter what life throws my way

This is a really nice place! It is located in a good neighborhood. The facility is large with really attractive comfortable furniture. There are a lot of areas to make enough space for everyone. If you are like me, you have been tirelessly researching online or calling various sober living facilities - feeling heartbroken, lost, desperate, and confused - all while facing a decision which would directly impact the livelihood of a loved one. No pressure, right? My family member had just completed rehab outside of Los Angeles and needed a sober living facility with good and honest people to help them adjust back to real life. All I knew at this point in my search is what I wanted for them. I was looking for a sober living facility where they would have focus on the program, be given the direction and guidance of counselors with care, be introduced to meetings around LA, all leading up to the goal of steering them back to a healthy and positive life. The real (and scary) answer is these places are hard to come by. I unfortunately saw that first-hand. Now to get to why I NEEDED to write this review. Nexus. 5 letters that make up a word I want to shout from the rooftops with such profound gratitude. Yes, my family member chose to do the work, take it seriously, make it a priority in their life, but it is also about who you surround yourself with. Nexus gave my family member a community bringing people into our lives which have changed it for the better. Nexus gave my family member counseling which has opened them up to realizing their true potential without the need of drugs or alcohol they are just grateful to be walking in their shoes sober. And one of the most important attributes of Nexus you may ask? Those that run the program. Halim, Johnnie, Rob, and Dano. I will never forget the first night I talked to Halim. And I say talked as if it was only one time. We spoke at least 10 times and he was a savior. He picked my family member up from somewhere where they were drowning and brought them to the Playa house. I was in a different state and was powerless but Halim was there. How could I have been more fortunate? I am forever indebted to the people that work at the Playa house (house manager, supervisors, techs, case managers, drivers) and the program Nexus has brought to our lives. Nothing is more important to me then family, and Nexus gave me my family back.

The Canyon at Santa Monica has an amazing program and treatment team! Antonio and his group of therapists, facilitators, nutritionists, psychiatrists, etc. are not only very capable and helpful, but the entire staff really care about the well-being and success of the clients. I have been in other IOP and PHP programs in the past, but the Canyon is hands-down the best. Besides skill about addiction treatment, they also pass along general life skills that most people could benefit from. She helped to guide me with solutions to cope with my diagnosis. Ryan went above and beyond as my case manager and really takes the time to to help you with every issue and also made sure I was set up with an aftercare plan in a sober living and outpatient program. Wow, words can't even describe how amazing this facility/program is. I attended here from March 2024-July 2024. I entered this treatment program with almost 9 years of sobriety, and I had reached a place mentally where I felt like I did when I used to get high. I was full of anxiety, couldn't function at work, and was a complete mess.This place got me in so quickly, and immediately I was met with open arms by staff who you could tell ACTUALLY CARE. I've worked in the drug alcohol field for many years, and I've found this is hard to come by.The program itself is wonderful. The group facilitators are knowledgable and I found most groups to be very helpful/interesting. The groups I didn't like were not a reflection of the program in anyway, more so a reflection of myself and where I was at experiencing them.My individual therapist Carolena was amazing, never once did I feel judged, and she always made me feel safe. She challenged me and asked me uncomfortable questions and helped walk me through the stages of life that I was in at the time.My individual case manager Britt was AMAZING AMAZING. She was the first person I met, and held my hand throughout the entire process, guiding me through insurance/disability, answering all my questions, wonderful amazing individual sessions where she provided me with many tools, and just overall an amazing caring genuine knowledgable person. SHE DESERVES A RAISE!!!! lol.I had the pleasure of meeting individually with one of the therapy interns Chloe. She got me to open up about stuff I hadn't talked about in years. I will miss our sessions.The community of clients at Inneractions is diverse and I loved hearing everyone's different stories of how they ended up at Inneractions. We all come from so many different walks of life, but together we were fighting the same fight, and the amount of support I received from my peers there helped so much. It felt so good to celebrate others successes with them.All the other staff at Inneractions was wonderful as well. And I have to mention them as well.Joe is the glue who holds the place together and runs a solid ship there.The clinical director Loree helped me out when I needed it! Which I'm so grateful for.Facilitators like Demarcus, Shane, Rick, Kathy, and many more I could name who are all wonderful.Mike the case manger I have to give a shout out to as well for always chatting with me during smoke breaks. I always looked forward to our daily conversations about basketball.Overall, this is an amazing treatment program. They are completely transparent about all financials, care about their clients, and provide more QUALITY/Personlized treatment then you will receive at "Luxury" treatment centers most commonly found in Malibu.If you're struggling with addiction/mental health, then this is the place for you. They saved my life when I was in an extremely dark/scary place, and I am eternally grateful.Thank you so much for helping me heal!
