My experience at the north Hollywood facility was amazing! Of course when you are coming to detox , you are not in the best mood , but I returned twice after leaving and relapsing and when arrived I was greeted with smiles and support. The staff tended to my needs and provided me with wisdom to help be successful in recovery. The ppl who you meet here will change your life and some will even feel like a part of your family . Please forgive me, I'm terrible with names but great with faces! Please give all 4 of them my good graces. They each treated me with the upmost respect, patience, and non judgement. Incredibly caring and gentle, and made sure to let me know how valuable my life is. I would definitely recommend kaweah to a family member or friend who was experiencing a crisis. they take great care of you here. This is a temporary place where they hold you and make sure ur safe until you get the resources u need to have continued care outside. That's the job of a psych hospital when you get put on an involuntary hold (I read past reviews). And as for all the other nurses on my unit, I say the exact same about them. Great employees. 5 stars

I am so thankful for the VA and especially the Tulare Clinic. We live in a country that takes care of it's veterans and, yes, there are some miscues, I've made a few myself, but I am still very thankful and the staff and doctors have given me the care I have needed. There are options, you can always go wait at a non-VA Dr. and wait there and pay for it out of your pocket. I've used my Tri-Care with some success but in the end I prefer my VA, both in Tulare and Fresno.
