This is the best ADU (crisis residential program) in San Francisco and a gem of the public mental health system in The City. Very client centered, veteran staff, many of whom have worked here for many years... They prioritize client needs and the client's experience, and safety. Well maintained, clean, beautiful facility. Bilingual program, signs are in English and Spanish and groups are interpreted for Spanish only speakers.This is a social model program, like the other ADUs in San Francisco. There are multiple therapeutic groups per day, counseling, referral to case management or other services in San Francisco, and meals included. You're allowed to leave the facility to attend to errands, appointments, or outside support after an initial "orientation" period. They will help set you up with whatever resources you may need.At LEAST three employees still work here (it's April 2024, my last visit was in 2012). Call Dore Urgent Care Clinic or speak to a case manager for referral.Typical length of stay: Two weeks, possible referral to longer term residential treatment.Medicare and/or Medi-Cal, Healthy San Francisco, no insurance, Kaiser accepted. Sliding scale, small program fee depending on ability to pay.

The kind people that work here really try to help your situation and genuinely do care. It was totally refreshing to have a medical team like that on your side, especially when life is hard enough. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

Since joining this program I was scared to enter and nervous but as soon as I started to settle in I became very comfortable and as days pass with the groups I got so much knowledge out of each group and staff is wonderful and food is great I highly recommend this for anyone that needs treatment.

Great staff and a great place to come to for AA/NA and support. The food kitchen is a nice place to eat. Thank you!

All issues I had were worked out. I was quick to judge and did so unfairly. This is a great facility offering help that many of us need. Everyone I ve worked with there has been fair and caring.

The services at city team is great for transitioning men and women.

First let me say that 99% of the staff at this hospital has been above and beyond Fabulous. Accommodating in every way. Unfortunately it only takes that 1% to leave a lasting impression of unprofessionalism. My sister was diagnosed w a brain disease a couple of months ago and her brain surgery was scheduled for today. We are currently in the I.C.U. where she is recovering and If anyone has seen a loved one come out of brain surgery you can attest to how they are not fully 100% themselves...a lil loopy, a lil cranky...but to be expected by professionals I'm sure. We are at the end of this day and there is only 1 hour of visiting left, there is a nurse change happening and my sisters new nurse Zack has come on shift w a chip on his shoulder. I understand we all have our days so I step out of the room to thank him and let him know he is appreciated and I apologize for my sister being rude. He let me know that he did not deserve her attitude where I agreed and apologized again(even tho her attitude came from him slamming her porta potty down in front of her and saying so I hear you need to use the bathroom, which is how I knew he had a chip on his shoulder as this was his first experience w her) He continued to tell me that if she stays upset she will give herself a stroke where I let him know it is he who is the professional and it is he who should be deescalating this so she does not stroke in his care. He let me know he did not feel he needed to hear or have this conversation w me so... I share my family's experience with you. I still feel Zack may have just been having a bad night but at the end of the day whether it was a good, bad, happy, or sad kinda day, we especially rely on health care workers caring for our loved ones at theeir most vulnerable, to be kind, compassionate, and professional at a family's worst time. Just my thoughts and show of support for any family member out there struggling to be the voice for their voiceless loved ones. Go with your gut. Use your big voice. CityTeam San Francisco is one of the healthier branches of the charity organization CityTeam. The staff are Christians, are godly, and manifest their love for God in transformed lives, with no bragging, filthy or evil words, and humble hearts.There will be expanded housing services, so that is something I am praying about.Come to the Hope Cafe on the fourth of every Saturday to serve food and love people in songs, words and prayers.Regular volunteers from Church of the Highlands and Westside Baptist Church are usually there for dinner service.
