From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and cared for. Having a private room was a huge plus it gave me the personal space I needed to focus on my recovery while still managing my work and school. The fact that I could use my phone and laptop was incredibly helpful, allowing me to stay connected and on top of everything while receiving the care I needed.The staff were incredible not only professional but genuinely caring. They treated me like a friend, making the whole experience feel much more comfortable. The facility itself is very comfy. Plus, there were plenty of fun outings that kept me active and distracted in the best way possible.If you're looking for a place where you can focus on recovery while still maintaining your responsibilities, I can t recommend this place enough!

Dr. Marshall is a remarkable, amazing human being. His life is a living example of Gods grace. Dr Marshall has a passion for people and literally lS a living sacrifice. His life and testimony are nothing short of a miracle.As a Registered Nurse with over 29 years experience working in Level 1 and Level 2 Trauma Centers I have personally witnessed the consequences of addiction, the impact it has on the person experiencing it as well as the devastating effect it has on the family and loved ones involved. I have looked into the eyes of a mother of a teenage child who has overdosed from drugs and heard the primal cry of grieve far too many times in my profession.Dr. Marshall is intentionally, deliberately helping people one day at a time. I ve heard him say in room of over 125 people I m here for one or maybe two of you.. and that s ok.I have had the privilege of attending several of his speaking engagements as well as attending classes for continued education professional purposes. His trainings are filled with unmeasurable value and highly beneficial information.Dr. Marshall is a dynamic effective lecturer, speechmaker and author. He doesn t just talk the talk but actually walks the walk as the saying goes.I have read his two books Fear to Freedom: From Dumpster to Doctor and Factors of Transformation :Be The Change You Want. Both filled with transparent life story and practical principles that anyone can apply to their own life.Dr Marshall has a heart of gold ; truly a man after the heart of God who has a deeply rooted passion for helping change peoples lives. It s like the air he breathes.In these crazy ruthless scary times we live in, the world needs more people, more soldiers and lieutenants on the front line like Dr Marshall, who aren t afraid to step up and out and be different. As he often says ; Let fear be what it is .but do not let it determine who you are or how you behave. Words that have changed my life personally forever.God Bless you and keep you in HIS light!!!!

I have not one single complaint about the program at SCBH. The techs, facilitators, groups, therapists, and my personal case manager Nicolle are all absolutely wonderful people- They sincerely care about the well being of all patients coming here. The food is top notch as well as the cooks over the stove. Give the respect you want in return, don t buck the system and follow the simple rules implemented all for good and structured reasons and everything is extremely pleasant. 10 out of 10 recommend for treatment and care!

This Rehab facility was absolutely life-changing for me. There are so many great things I could list about this place. The staff were knowledgeable, compassionate, friendly and MOST of all: EXTREMELY accommodating and understanding with requests. The house was located in a quiet and peaceful residential neighborhood with absolute stunning views overlooking the ocean. The fun activities and experiences/outings were extremely helpful coping skills for my mental health and cravings.At Laguna View Detox it is evident that the staff care about you from the time you walk in the front door.I would like to point out that while this experience was amazing, there are a couple of things I would like to point out as areas for growth and improvement.1. Food - the food was sub-par in my humble opinion. While they do cater to dietary restrictions and allergies, there were many occasions that felt like the same food was repetitive, less-healthy, and lacked the right amount to serve everyone to their satisfaction.It would have been nice to maybe have the option for meal prep or an activity cooking course to teach people the skill and value in cooking together as well as considering a part-time chef position to develop those skills in staff and clients alike.2. Staff/clients - While 90% of the staff/clients were absolutely amazing, there were a couple that maybe could ve brought more value to the table or fulfilled their duties so others wouldn t have to suffer the consequences. It s not fair nor realistic to expect perfection from everyone but it is possible to differentiate those that are there to just collect a paycheck or take advantage of the care the system provides.These problems will undoubtedly always arise in every work environment and company alike thus should be expected time to time. The higher management can hopefully take more proactive measures to prevent the house becoming a toxic environment as well as addressing the problems at the core of the individuals.Once again I would highly recommend this place to anyone seriously committed to attaining a peaceful and healthy life of sobriety. I am forever indebted and grateful to LVD for my experience. I am also proud of myself for making the best of this opportunity and utilizing all the tools, skills and knowledge taught from the wise and relatable staff.I have made life-long friends, relationships, coping skills and knowledge that I will carry throughput my lifetime toward sobriety. I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience! They made getting sober a fun , educational, and comfortable experience. Every staff member was unique and so caring . I have health issues and they accommodated those issues beyond what I could have expected. The house was beautiful and felt like home. I feel they care for our needs individually with a plan that fit me. My health needs were met to the highest standards . All this allowed me to focus on healing and getting sober .

The people at this program took me in at my worst as one of their own, and helped me change my life. The culture they inspire in their clients truly creates a desire for change and healthy decisions. I owe Rich and Andrew everything. Love you guys.
