My experience at the north Hollywood facility was amazing! Of course when you are coming to detox , you are not in the best mood , but I returned twice after leaving and relapsing and when arrived I was greeted with smiles and support. This is a really nice place! It is located in a good neighborhood. The facility is large with really attractive comfortable furniture. There are a lot of areas to make enough space for everyone. INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE.I cannot say enough great things about this facility, from the talented staff/therapists and overall quality of life at The Canyon. The level of care and attention to detail they take with each patients treatment plan was something special to be apart of. I had never sought treatment before but with the option to do an IOP after work on weeknights I didn't have an excuse not to do this and save myself. During my time at The Canyon a tight bond was made with my fellow patients and the staff as they do weekly huddles to ensure each patient gets just as much attention / care as the next. I graduated on September 5th 2024. Today i am 105 days sober and will continue to live the best life I can for myself my friends and my family. I could not have done it without this outstanding facility, team and co patients. Flew to Cali from WV on May 6th with 9 days of sobriety and decades of addiction and trauma. I've lived in several states and found myself starting over in countless environments and social circles but could never find the right place to grow. Until Oak Forest Recovery I was limited when it came to the appropriate resources to rebuild myself and process my trauma I had suffered most of my life. After many hardships including burying my parents, brother and many close friends including the love of my life I found myself alone and mentally crippled from the living purgatory I perceived myself to be in I had given up all hope. It wasn't until a close friend of mine reached out to me when he found out I was a week sober and offered a solution to the madness I was drowning in. That solution was Oak Forest Recovery and the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous as well as a thriving community of weathered thick skinned individuals who had been through the trenches like myself.
