My experience at the north Hollywood facility was amazing! Of course when you are coming to detox , you are not in the best mood , but I returned twice after leaving and relapsing and when arrived I was greeted with smiles and support. The staff tended to my needs and provided me with wisdom to help be successful in recovery. The ppl who you meet here will change your life and some will even feel like a part of your family . If you are like me, you have been tirelessly researching online or calling various sober living facilities - feeling heartbroken, lost, desperate, and confused - all while facing a decision which would directly impact the livelihood of a loved one. No pressure, right? My family member had just completed rehab outside of Los Angeles and needed a sober living facility with good and honest people to help them adjust back to real life. All I knew at this point in my search is what I wanted for them. I was looking for a sober living facility where they would have focus on the program, be given the direction and guidance of counselors with care, be introduced to meetings around LA, all leading up to the goal of steering them back to a healthy and positive life. The real (and scary) answer is these places are hard to come by. I unfortunately saw that first-hand. Now to get to why I NEEDED to write this review. Nexus. 5 letters that make up a word I want to shout from the rooftops with such profound gratitude. Yes, my family member chose to do the work, take it seriously, make it a priority in their life, but it is also about who you surround yourself with. Nexus gave my family member a community bringing people into our lives which have changed it for the better. Nexus gave my family member counseling which has opened them up to realizing their true potential without the need of drugs or alcohol they are just grateful to be walking in their shoes sober. And one of the most important attributes of Nexus you may ask? Those that run the program. Halim, Johnnie, Rob, and Dano. I will never forget the first night I talked to Halim. And I say talked as if it was only one time. We spoke at least 10 times and he was a savior. He picked my family member up from somewhere where they were drowning and brought them to the Playa house. I was in a different state and was powerless but Halim was there. How could I have been more fortunate? I am forever indebted to the people that work at the Playa house (house manager, supervisors, techs, case managers, drivers) and the program Nexus has brought to our lives. Nothing is more important to me then family, and Nexus gave me my family back.

Alter met all my needs and exceeded expectations. I had Anxiety/PTSD flashbacks that would bring me to tears daily, during treatment I have learned many different effective meditation techniques for use when ever I need them. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and cared for. Having a private room was a huge plus it gave me the personal space I needed to focus on my recovery while still managing my work and school. The fact that I could use my phone and laptop was incredibly helpful, allowing me to stay connected and on top of everything while receiving the care I needed.The staff were incredible not only professional but genuinely caring. INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE.I cannot say enough great things about this facility, from the talented staff/therapists and overall quality of life at The Canyon. The level of care and attention to detail they take with each patients treatment plan was something special to be apart of. I had never sought treatment before but with the option to do an IOP after work on weeknights I didn't have an excuse not to do this and save myself. During my time at The Canyon a tight bond was made with my fellow patients and the staff as they do weekly huddles to ensure each patient gets just as much attention / care as the next. I graduated on September 5th 2024. Today i am 105 days sober and will continue to live the best life I can for myself my friends and my family. I could not have done it without this outstanding facility, team and co patients. We were very lucky to have found this place for our son. They guided us from the beginning, because this was our first time navigating rehabilitation, and we immediately thought this would be our best option given the duration of the program and the living arrangements based on age. From the time we first contacted New Life to today (our son is a graduate from this program and about to move out of the recovery home. He graduated after 14 months and moving out after 17 months.), it has been a blessing. This program not only prepares these young men to achieve sobriety but it also gives them the tools to sustain it. This program provides parents the support to stay involved in the recovery process and embark the family in a healing path (something that seemed impossible in the midst of addiction). As our son actively works the program, we, parents, are given the tools and education to repair and foster healthy family dynamics and strive for a joyful life. We saw our son mature, we matured and learned a new way of life by setting boundaries for our adult child while loving him unconditionally. I really do miss everyone and if things were different back home I would ve moved out there and stayed with them however I could. This isn t something someone paid me to say for all you skeptics.
