i have been to several other treatment centers and also worked for a few as a tech and supervisor... when i came here i expected the same thing but was shocked to learn of things i have never heard of that actually helped me to stay sober. ACTUAL TOOLS I CAN PULL OUT AND USE WHEN TRIGGERED. i have been promised this several times but never have i ever actually been given actual coping skills. the lady who teaches DBT is a god send... her classes are powerful and she gives clients things to practice that for me have actually work. my therapist has pulled things out of me that i never thought i had the strength to share with another human which lead to an ultimate surrender and peace i have never known. the case managers are rock solid and make me feel seen heard and cared for. Banyon was the last house on the block for me.... I had burned everything down and expected to get clean and sober the same way i had tried 20 previous times but the staff and the group of men and women that were there with me literally saved my life. i HIGHLY recommend this treatment center. im writing this review with hopes that someone who has never been to treatment before will see this and let Banyon palm springs be there first and last... i Pray you dont have to do this as many times as i have had to do or burn everything down like i have. please give these people and honest shot cause they care and are the best i have ever seen in this field. If they can help me....a hope to die junkie/drunk... then they can help anybody (if you just follow and trust what they tell you)thank you Banyon.... you have given me the tools to be happy no matter what life throws my way

I have been to a couple different facilities and personally this was the one I was most comfortable at and was able to focus on my recovery. They also were willing to help me get back in to programming when I needed it. Staff went to court with me and advocated for me as well. With my knowledge of treatment centers I understand that not everyone in recovery is committed. But if u have the desire and strength to get clean, then try it out. Stay focused on u and ur recovery and dont get sucked in to any communal living drama.

From the day I entered to when I left (and even still they check up on me) the staff were amazing, kind, welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable. This is my third rehab experience and I stayed 6 weeks. I was very grateful to be able to get a bed quickly (the very next day). This is not a resort or a vacation, it's a rehab. You won't find a spa or masseuse here, but you will find a safe and supportive environment to work on yourself. The staff was helpful and kind, but of course they are humans too. The main counselor was very helpful and intuitive - she was able to pinpoint what some of my personal issues to focus on were. Overall, I would recommend this facility to anyone who is serious about working on themselves. Other facilities might have more amenities, more people, etc. but I found that having less external distractions helped me get a lot more out of my time here.Update 3 years later: still doing well, and still using the knowledge I gained here.
