I've been going there since I was 17. All of the staff there has helped me a lot. Dr. Mansoor has been with me since I was 14 and is still the best psychiatrist that I've ever had. The staff is very caring. They have groups daily that are very fun filled and easy to enjoy! They also have snacks for whenever you are hungry. I rated Villa 5 stars because this was the only place I was able to be comfortable. They had a daily schedule of different things to do. During your stay you can have visitors and after the 72 hr hold give you passes to leave the campus for an hour or so. The staff was great and the patients were also welcoming. My experience at the north Hollywood facility was amazing! Of course when you are coming to detox , you are not in the best mood , but I returned twice after leaving and relapsing and when arrived I was greeted with smiles and support. This is the best ADU (crisis residential program) in San Francisco and a gem of the public mental health system in The City. Very client centered, veteran staff, many of whom have worked here for many years... They prioritize client needs and the client's experience, and safety. Well maintained, clean, beautiful facility. Bilingual program, signs are in English and Spanish and groups are interpreted for Spanish only speakers.This is a social model program, like the other ADUs in San Francisco. There are multiple therapeutic groups per day, counseling, referral to case management or other services in San Francisco, and meals included. You're allowed to leave the facility to attend to errands, appointments, or outside support after an initial "orientation" period.
