i have been to several other treatment centers and also worked for a few as a tech and supervisor... when i came here i expected the same thing but was shocked to learn of things i have never heard of that actually helped me to stay sober. ACTUAL TOOLS I CAN PULL OUT AND USE WHEN TRIGGERED. i have been promised this several times but never have i ever actually been given actual coping skills. the lady who teaches DBT is a god send... her classes are powerful and she gives clients things to practice that for me have actually work. my therapist has pulled things out of me that i never thought i had the strength to share with another human which lead to an ultimate surrender and peace i have never known. the case managers are rock solid and make me feel seen heard and cared for. Banyon was the last house on the block for me.... I had burned everything down and expected to get clean and sober the same way i had tried 20 previous times but the staff and the group of men and women that were there with me literally saved my life. i HIGHLY recommend this treatment center. im writing this review with hopes that someone who has never been to treatment before will see this and let Banyon palm springs be there first and last... i Pray you dont have to do this as many times as i have had to do or burn everything down like i have. please give these people and honest shot cause they care and are the best i have ever seen in this field. If they can help me....a hope to die junkie/drunk... then they can help anybody (if you just follow and trust what they tell you)thank you Banyon.... you have given me the tools to be happy no matter what life throws my way

From the moment we walked through their doors, we knew something was different about this place. We were blessed to find a place to go and room together as a couple. The staff treated us with genuine compassion and respect, something we hadn't experienced in a long time.The RAs, admin, med techs, nurses, kitchen staff and counlers here are incredible - they don't just treat addiction, they help you understand the root causes and provide real tools for lasting recovery. Their holistic approach meant I wasn't just getting treatment, I was learning how to rebuild my entire life. There is so many activities that show you having fun sober is possible. Steve or Bernadette took us on the boat regularly, we got to go on hikes to Yosemite and Pinecrest. DJ and Falina took us kayaking in the lake and jump off rock cliffs. The group throughout the day were transformative, and the group support was unlike anything I'd ever experienced.What truly sets Lakes Treatment Center apart is how they personalize treatment. They understood that my journey was unique, and they created a recovery plan specifically tailored to my needs. For years, I was reluctant to use the VA because of what I had heard about problems across the country. Due to the lack of doctors in the area and very poor service provided by a healthcare company in Oakhurst, I started using this facility. The experience has been just excellent. What's up with all these other negative reviews? Anyway, I received services here, perhaps about 5 years ago. It was a benefit to me. The counselor (whose name I don't recall) was very, very kind. More importantly, she was one of the wisest persons I've ever met. Other people are free to express their opinions. But ---- we all will benefit the most by coming here with a willingness to listen, rather than just to vent. On Friday December 13th I went in person to the clinic, and now I have an appointment for January 6th. A bit of a wait, but it was my fault for procrastinating. Since I came in right before Christmas I'm going to be patient. Or, I'll be a patient somewhere else (again). I don't want that... Self-restraint keeps me out of restraints! Someday, I'm going to go back to work as a PTSD survivor/stand-up comedian.

The Pathway Program saved my daughter's life. She was completely out of control and abusing drugs and alcohol. She was getting in trouble and hanging out with the wrong crowd.The first time I brought her to the shop, all of the counselors and kids welcomed her with open arms. She instantly had clean and sober friends her age that she could relate to and have fun with. The kids hold each other accountable and are a huge support to each other. They are together almost every day and provide the vital friendship needed to succeed in recovery.The Pathway Program is not the typical outpatient program where you attend during the day, but then are alone at night and on the weekends. Two week nights a week the kids are together doing recovery related groups. On the weekends the kids do all kinds of different activities and learn how to have fun being sober in real life. This is part of the aftercare part of the program.There is an excellent parent support group once a week with parents that have been through it all. The parents are so supportive and I was able to call them anytime of the day or night with any questions. The counselors are extremely knowledgeable about addiction and connect with the kids extremely well. They were also available anytime to help with crisis situations and offer support.I feel so blessed to have been able to get my daughter the help she needed through The Pathway Program. It has changed both of our lives for the better and offered us hope for the future. I would highly recommend this program for any teens or young adults that are struggling with addiction.

Pathways recovery has changed my life in so many positive ways. I spent 60 days as inpatient at the women's recovery program. The staff were all amazing, genuinely caring about the women in every aspect of their jobs from counselors, nursing staff to the chef. I have had previous experiences as an inpatient an I really appreciate Pathways holistic approach which included going to a gym and yoga studio as well as a healthy diet. I was able to do some trauma work that has transformed my life, being able to heal in a safe and supportive environment was a great start to my new way of living. I will be forever grateful to Pathways for showing me the tools I needed to learn to love myself again and stay on my sober path.
