My experience at the north Hollywood facility was amazing! Of course when you are coming to detox , you are not in the best mood , but I returned twice after leaving and relapsing and when arrived I was greeted with smiles and support. The staff tended to my needs and provided me with wisdom to help be successful in recovery. The ppl who you meet here will change your life and some will even feel like a part of your family . When I got to this place back in July 2023 it was on the weekend of my birthday. Whenever I was younger my mom would 5150 me on just about every birthday. When I was hospitalized here Dr. Fox would let me play my guitar and when I was given the privilege to play guitar I would divide my 15-30min sessions with my guitar and let others play guitar. What was really good was the food and dinning area. My electric guitar and line6 podgo was the first time staff had seen any like that to come into the hospital and I was asking for music theory material to be printed out and the nurses were always printed out material for me. I started Stemvasmah therapy which was science, technology, engineering mathematical, visual arts sound-music arts, and humanities, I would be asking all patients on my unit for 3 different topics and the nurses were always printing out the paperwork for my lessons I have taught the patients.I remember going to rec therapy all the patients requested songs all the songs that I like. Overall this is heaven for those who are brokenAll OF THE FORMER PATIENTS THAT ARE GOING TO GIVE BAD REVIEWS,..... I GOT NEWS THE LIES YOU HAVE BEEN TELLING WILL BE REPORTED PRIVATELY AND RESPECTFULLY.I HAVE LOVE FOR MHTS, I NURSES, first responders, doctor's psychiatrist. AND lawn enforcement and paramedics and fire Crew.I have no bad memories of being hospitalized.

My experience there was lovely they cared and gave attention to each individual on their own path thru recovery. The contractors from activities to reconstruction and cleaning services were all lovely I was a patient there for a psychosis episode and they were able to stabilize my chemicals and provide me adequate care but what I truly enjoyed about the center was the help. It was remarkable to see everybody work in unison and to see the patients get cured one at a time I personally saw 4 move on before it became my time. I hope this center continues to get adequate funding. Thank you team and thank you Dr Robinson.*update* it s been 4 years since my stay and I ve been in an upward trajectory in person progress I ve been finally 10 months free from my addiction that led to the psychosis in 2020 and I ve landed a full time job at my company that I was a temp at and I am handling my bills and rent and it all stemmed from seeking help when help was needed and San Joaquin County Behavioral was the catalyst and a pivotal moment in my recovery.
