I absolutely loved this place. The best place to get help and to grow and understand yourself more. I couldn t have made it where I am today without their help. I am 1 yr and 3 months sober. I am a house manager for a sober living and I work in a detox facility as well. I am doing things I never thought possible for myself, let alone being able to manage as much as I do now. This was the foundation of everything that I have become today. A HUGE thank you to all of the staff at Hope Lodge. I hope one day to return and share my story.

Let me preface this by saying I am a big reviewer. I read reviews and I leave reviews. Having said that, this is probably the most significant review I have ever and will ever leave in my life.That is for one reason. This place did not change my life, it saved my life.I was a resident at The Prado house for 90 days, from the end of May until the end of August 2024.Nothing I could write, no eloquent words could ever do justice to this program and the amazing staff. Each one is so committed to the well-being of each resident. Johnny, my case manager, is without a doubt top three favorite men in my life. His genuine desire to provide empathetic support is second to none. I cannot sing his praises enough. Kim is amazing and Maggie has to be one of my favorite human beings on this planet. ALL the staff is beyond dedicated.I came in with an 8-year heroin addiction, and a 10-year meth addiction. Among other things. I expected to leave this facility with 90 days clean. And I did that. I never would have imagined those 90 days would now be at the bottom of the list of what I gained in my time there. 90 days sober while you're in "a bubble" is not all that hard to accomplish. Being filled with the confidence, the desire, the faith and given not only a toolbox FULL of tools but the tricks to applying those tools the second you walk out the door, now that's what gives you a fighting chance. I received that in the His House / New Creation program.They carefully transition you at the end of your time there to wherever you and your case manager decide is best. There are MANY options.And their alumni! The HHNC Alumni is second to none! The continual support of like-minded people who are committed to their sobriety and working a solid program of recovery is priceless!I HIGHLY recommend this program to anyone suffering from any type of substance abuse disorder.If you are willing to put in the work and pursue recovery as hard as you pursued your addiction, please, call this program. They have mens homes, a womens home as well as co-ed homes. They accept medi-cal. Even OC medi-cal. As well as private pay.I hope this helps anyone on here looking for information and HOPE. St John of God is now Phoenix House. They just opened their doors after receiving the county contract. This comes after SJOG went out of business. Phoenix House offers inpatient care and medication assisted treatment with medications to help persons reduce the need to use dangerous drugs like fentanyl and begin a new path of recovery.There is a men s side and a female side that are separated, each with its drug and alcohol program. Transportation to appointments is provided. There are individual and group counseling sessions, mental health treatment, nursing on site, and a Medical Doctor. They also have case management team to assist the patient receive outside services including housing and for aftercare. They have on site kitchen and dining rooms, laundry, refurbished dorms, meeting and group rooms, a pool, outside gym and recreation yard and various entertainment activities and workshops are done throughout each day.

As a first-time resident in a sober living environment, I didn t know what to expect, but from the moment I walked through the doors, I felt welcomed, supported, and understood.The house provided a safe and structured environment that was crucial for my recovery. The staff were compassionate, knowledgeable, and always available to offer guidance. They truly cared about my progress and went above and beyond to ensure I had the tools and resources I needed to succeed.What I loved most was the sense of community. The other residents became like family to me, and we supported each other through every step of our journeys. The group meetings, activities, and shared experiences helped me build strong, lasting connections that I know will continue long after leaving the house.This sober living house didn t just give me a place to stay; it gave me a fresh start, hope for the future, and the strength to continue on my path to sobriety. My bed was right next to the ice cold AC and I would sleep like a baby! I always wanted to be home. I love the Old Victorian look and feel. I can t thank the team enough for everything they ve done for me. I was there had a cps case they helped me with going to maple house and now I m reunited with my son and sober I thank God for that place

I lived here for a year and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean and safe environment in which to recover. The owner cares about people and really keeps everything person-centered.
