i have been to several other treatment centers and also worked for a few as a tech and supervisor... when i came here i expected the same thing but was shocked to learn of things i have never heard of that actually helped me to stay sober. ACTUAL TOOLS I CAN PULL OUT AND USE WHEN TRIGGERED. i have been promised this several times but never have i ever actually been given actual coping skills. the lady who teaches DBT is a god send... her classes are powerful and she gives clients things to practice that for me have actually work. my therapist has pulled things out of me that i never thought i had the strength to share with another human which lead to an ultimate surrender and peace i have never known. the case managers are rock solid and make me feel seen heard and cared for. Banyon was the last house on the block for me.... I had burned everything down and expected to get clean and sober the same way i had tried 20 previous times but the staff and the group of men and women that were there with me literally saved my life. i HIGHLY recommend this treatment center. im writing this review with hopes that someone who has never been to treatment before will see this and let Banyon palm springs be there first and last... i Pray you dont have to do this as many times as i have had to do or burn everything down like i have. please give these people and honest shot cause they care and are the best i have ever seen in this field. St John of God is now Phoenix House. They just opened their doors after receiving the county contract. This comes after SJOG went out of business. Phoenix House offers inpatient care and medication assisted treatment with medications to help persons reduce the need to use dangerous drugs like fentanyl and begin a new path of recovery.There is a men s side and a female side that are separated, each with its drug and alcohol program. Transportation to appointments is provided. There are individual and group counseling sessions, mental health treatment, nursing on site, and a Medical Doctor. They also have case management team to assist the patient receive outside services including housing and for aftercare. Care was fantastic. 10. I came in unbeknownst to me with a pretty serious infection. Entire team was fantastic helping and caring for me as I healed. Hats off!Facility was good. There were some things that could use improvements such as the heater for the pool and the amphitheater but all in all the things which matter the most such as residential housing was a 10. PhP housing gets an 8. IOP same housing as PhP.People. Best I've seen at a treatment facility. 10. You really, if I may; develop a bond with your fellow addicts and alcoholics. Almost a brotherhood with which the majority of seemingly really do want to heal. This creates a fantastic opportunity to truly embrace the process.Food. I truly wish I could write this differently I have to give a 5. Keep in mind however that this is circumstantial to my time there. Being as such had I been there 4 weeks earlier it would have been and started off much better but due to what I assume were budget cuts majority of the kitchen staff quit. This left the food lacking in creativity and a lot of repeats such as hot dogs with fries and grilled cheese with tomato soup. I would check to be sure this has been resolved. Cleanliness also not the best. Not horrible but there were a slight rodent problem but keep in mind your in the middle of the woods so to be fair it was they're home first I suppose. Bathrooms a cafeteria I was I could give more credit but let's not put lipstick on a pig. They need a serious facelift.To sum up, it's a fantastic and wonderful environment to take recovery serious. The positives greatly outweigh the negatives. Greatly recommend with an overall of 8.6 of 10.

Let me preface this by saying I am a big reviewer. I read reviews and I leave reviews. Having said that, this is probably the most significant review I have ever and will ever leave in my life.That is for one reason. This place did not change my life, it saved my life.I was a resident at The Prado house for 90 days, from the end of May until the end of August 2024.Nothing I could write, no eloquent words could ever do justice to this program and the amazing staff. Each one is so committed to the well-being of each resident. Johnny, my case manager, is without a doubt top three favorite men in my life. His genuine desire to provide empathetic support is second to none. I cannot sing his praises enough. Kim is amazing and Maggie has to be one of my favorite human beings on this planet. ALL the staff is beyond dedicated.I came in with an 8-year heroin addiction, and a 10-year meth addiction. Among other things. I expected to leave this facility with 90 days clean. And I did that. I never would have imagined those 90 days would now be at the bottom of the list of what I gained in my time there. 90 days sober while you're in "a bubble" is not all that hard to accomplish. Being filled with the confidence, the desire, the faith and given not only a toolbox FULL of tools but the tricks to applying those tools the second you walk out the door, now that's what gives you a fighting chance. I received that in the His House / New Creation program.They carefully transition you at the end of your time there to wherever you and your case manager decide is best. There are MANY options.And their alumni! The HHNC Alumni is second to none! The continual support of like-minded people who are committed to their sobriety and working a solid program of recovery is priceless!I HIGHLY recommend this program to anyone suffering from any type of substance abuse disorder.If you are willing to put in the work and pursue recovery as hard as you pursued your addiction, please, call this program. They have mens homes, a womens home as well as co-ed homes. They accept medi-cal. Even OC medi-cal. As well as private pay.I hope this helps anyone on here looking for information and HOPE.
