About Broward Partnership Pompano Beach Center

Broward Partnership Pompano Beach Center is a homeless shelter in Pompano Beach, Florida. They offer outpatient social and behavioral health services for individuals and families struggling with homelessness, addiction and mental health disorders. You’ll benefit from treatment best practices and multiple resources to help you get back on your feet and reach recovery.

Their trauma informed behavioral health services are tailored to the unique obstacles people dealing with homelessness can face. You’ll participate in a mental health and substance abuse screening and assessment to determine the best treatment approach for your situation. They highlight holistic, personalized care to provide the most positive outcomes in recovery.

One thing that stands out to me is their emphasis on treating co-occurring disorders. Their compassionate team understands that many people battling addiction also have mental health conditions. You’ll have access to an integrated approach that treats both disorders in tandem with group therapy, individual counseling and medication maintenance.

Another standout feature is their intensive case management services. People dealing with addiction and homelessness often need assistance with several aspects of life. Your case manager can connect you to services and resources within the Broward Partnership, including housing assistance, dental care, family services and vocational development.

Most of the staff who work in that place are not suitable to work in a shelter and help center for people with housing problems, they do not have the slightest knowledge of human relationships and treatment, they suffer from resentment and abuse with people staying there overnight, from donations, as well as meals to cook for those living there, there is psychological harassment, and consumption of drugs and alcohol within the premises, Homosexualism is practiced among the welcomed,,,and more

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

They accept tons of donations from clothing, shoes, pots, pans, fans, lamps, home decor, etc.You can drop off donations til 10pm almost everyday. They can give you a form to fill out if the have a company and would like to write off tour donations for tax purposes. If you re in a hurry you can pull up front, ask for a wheeled bin to load your donations and give it to security at the gate. Very easy donating process.Hope this helps others donate!

DO NOT COME here I REPEAT DO NOT COME HERE ,I don't care if its the last place you have you better off sleeping on the streets , me and my brother came down to Florida from California for spring break this year and ended up getting our car impounded while down in FL , we didnt have airfare to get home nor was our family able to help us immediately , so we got referred here by the "task force" . We walked up to shelter to get intake they instantly was talking to us rude and had a lot of animosity when speaking to us , I Dont Know if it because we carried ourselves nicely and had clean cuts ,or simply because the majority of the staff who "runs" the place are LGBT which I thought would actually be convenient for us because I myself is GAY but NO these men where MEAN , LACKED EMPATHY , EVIL SPIRITED , looking for someone to say the wrong thing or look at them the wrong way so they can threaten there bed .so after we got through the intake process which consisted of them getting our belonging to look through them etc to make sure nothing illegal is brought on grounds ,they told us they have to put our clothes in the dryer as a procedure they do to every resident to make sure there no bed bugs I guess.....an hour or so passes they gave us tour , fed us , now its time to see our rooms and put our things away , my little brother came up to me frustrated because he already felt iffy about even wanting to stay after the intake process and how they made us feel ,So to add to the gut feeling we already had we discover the clothes that they put in the dryer for us is all burnt up not everything but only the nice Jeans that they felt were expensive , I grab the three pairs of jeans SHOCKED like what the hell ?? so I went to ask a staff member about the jeans politely because I can understand a mistake or accident , this man WAS so defensive I couldn't even finish saying what happened , I then ask to speak to the manager who came a few minutes after just for him to Shut down everything I was claiming saying "I came with my clothes like that "his staff didn't do that and he shooed me off with his hand . So at this point I'm not familiar with my surrounding clearly this shelter has been getting away with stuff like this for a while or it wouldn't have played out like it did they didn't even say hey sorry your clothes accidently got burnt , which is how I know it was purposely done simply because they hated us for being US . So I decided to call the police because I really don't know what to do at that point I'm across the country with my 17 year old brother I'm at a loss of words ,the pompano beach police comes and literally is so biased based off them coming to the shelter all the time for incidents, didn't make me police report and even is assisting them as if there the ones who called ,I explained this situation to my family they immediately sent for me and my brother to come back home to California .Those where some of the darkest times In our life at that shelter I've never experienced hate so blatantly and saddest part it was from my own kind ,to ANYBODY experiencing homeless in south florida please stay at a beach until somewhere has a bed for you these people showed zero remorse and took 0 accountability for what they did to our jeans and how they treated us God will always protect over you don't let this place be your last resort

EXCELLENT place to recover from those economic crises that are experienced in Florida, while you work and save, the staff of this institution takes you by the hand so that you can recover, it is a place where you can find everything, at your disposal, and for free, computer center, haircut room, medical, vision and dental care, a bed to sleep, shower, play area, TV area, three meals a day, free clothes and a laundry center, 24-hour security , and free car parking, and also when you move to your new apartment they provide you with new furniture, I am very satisfied and grateful to EVERYONE in this place, mainly with Ramona who was my social worker, for the help and good guidance of Argenis , from Miss Devorah from housing, from Fred's attention in the dining room, from Margarita for the tasty food she cooks, for all the security officers who do their job very well, thank you Shamika and finally for the one who directs and does make all this possible Kery. THANK YOU A THOUSAND!!
