outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient rehabs offer community-based addiction treatment, enabling clients to remain in their homes while in recovery. Their levels of care typically include partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), standard outpatient, and sober living programming. Most outpatient facilities offer addiction counseling and recovery-focused life skills training. Integrative programs include evidence-based holistic therapies, such as meditation, music therapy, and massage. Facilities specializing in alcohol and/or opioid addiction may also provide medication assisted treatment (MAT).

inpatient iconInpatient Rehab

Clients who are in early recovery, leaving detox, or experiencing a crisis often require the intensive treatment of an inpatient rehab facility. Clients in inpatient care receive robust clinical supervision, housing, and meals, allowing them to focus exclusively on their recovery while they stabilize. The primary treatment modalities used in most inpatient centers include extensive addiction counseling and recovery-focused life skills training. Many drug rehabs also offer holistic therapies, such as music, art, fitness, and experiential therapies.

aftercare iconAftercare

Clients participating in a rehab aftercare program receive comprehensive and customized support as they leave high-intensity treatment, reintegrate into their community, and focus on maintaining their sobriety. These programs offer a wide variety of services to align with the client's unique and evolving needs, often including medical, mental health, and social service program referrals. Clients typically develop their drug rehab aftercare plan in conjunction with their case manager and care team.

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

When you enroll in drug rehab in Virginia, a treatment plan is designed by professional staff in order to help you overcome drug addiction and modify addictive behaviors. This may include evidence-based treatments, group and individual therapy, and relapse prevention.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

life-skills iconLife Skills

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

medical-detox iconExperiential Therapy

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Very disappointed. My son was too much work. He informed me of happenings or lack of, and the owner didn’t like that at all! Pretty much gave up on my son after he pocketed close to $6000 for two months. Lack of relationship building is evident in the zero follow up on ... Read More

When one person thrives and rest of the housemates passed away that all came in at the same time together Only one person from that group is alive today . $3000+ a month is a crazy amount of money Sam is a Joke. Whos making money off loved ones

This is not a place that promotes healthy recovery. Sam Davis has a silver tongue that he uses to manipulate families with suffering loved ones. Two of the guys I was with at the house have now committed suicide. Not a single person from Broad Highway staff attended the funerals. That should tell you all you need to know. Both funerals were in Richmond, Broad Highways backyard. Inexcusable.Sam Davis is more concerned with money than he is with fostering the recovery he confidently and charismaticly boasts.During my time, I was constantly gaslitghted into believing I was completely helpless. Sam knew my parents would keep paying the tuition to be in the program if he kept me unhealthy.Sams approach is an end all be all one size fits all. Whenever I would call him out on his manipulative tactics, he would tell me to read page 417 (acceptance). Whenever I had a problem, according to Sam that was just my disease talking . His approach was lazy, manipulative, narcissistic, and unprofessional.I m sick and tired of attending funerals of the friends I made at Broad Highway. Of the 15 guys I met during my stay, only one other than myself is sober and thriving. The rest are either using, in prison, or dead.I urge you to save your loved ones life by sending them anywhere but Broad Highway. Do not let Sam Davis continue to profit off his ineffective treatment of my fellow addicts and alcoholics.

Having an intervention for my brother was not going to be an easy thing to do. We knew we couldn t do it alone. Someone put us in touch with Sam. Sam not only helped us through the process but encouraged our parents to speak.Sam said it like it was! An hour after the intervention my brother was on his way to rehab! If Sam wasn t there to help us all I know we wouldn t have been successful on our own!Thank you Sam for saving my brothers life!

This past week, we had scheduled an intervention for one of our family members. While I was not the one who coordinated it, Sam still showed what a true professional is and guided everyone in the right direction. Not only did he educate us on how to interact, but he advised us to use certain words/phrases which was a tremendous amount of help. He stays with you through the entire process and is always there if you need. Even though the family member was tough on Sam, he kept his professionalism and was able to guide him to treatment. When we arrived to the facility, the family member actually thanked and gave Sam a hug for what he had done. 10/5 I highly highly encourage you to hire Sam for the help of your loved one.

Sam saved my uncles life, who was given a year to live and refused to get help until we had an intervention. Sam s 93% success rate is no joke. If you have a family member struggling with addiction don t look anywhere else, bring Sam in to help.We got in touch with Sam and he was willing to come hold an intervention the next day. As a family, we decided to wait a week so that we could coordinate everything and find a bed. Sam, let us know the process, met with our family the night before the intervention and had my uncle into rehab the same day.Sam took the time to understand the situation, provide empathy to our family but most importantly told us and my uncle the truth even if it was hard for us to hear. He will also support the family and addict until the treatment program is completed in full. With Sam s help, my uncle has taken the first step to get healthy and there is now hope for his future.

We were put in touch with Sam Davis one evening, he met with us the next day and we we re able to confront for our family member 2 days after than. This resulted in them going for treatment.Sam was there for us every step of the way, he coached us on how to communicate with our family member, it was amazing how he was able to predict their actions and prepare us for what was coming. He is calm and easy to talk to, he is also no nonsense, he says it as it is. He helps you come to terms with how you may have been enabling your loved one, in their behaviors. He was also a great support to family and friends who were involved.Sam guided us through what was one of the worst experiences of our lives and he is our support now that treatment has begun. We will always be grateful to Sam for his knowledge, compassion and professionalism.

Sam and the folks at Broad Highway are the real deal and like absolute angels. At a time when it felt like the hospital was failing us and there were no recovery options available for us, they hooked us up with contacts we d never have found on our own...a fantastic recovery option at a rate we could actually afford. Don t stay hopeless or overwhelmed. Give Broad Highway a call and let them help!

Response from the owner3 years ago
Hello Roger, unfortunately insurance companies will not cover sober living services. This is something that is out of our control and we are sorry it upset you. Feel free to call our 877 number and we can provide you treatment options that take Medicaid.

Even though I didn t leave on good terms the place is a great place to recover. It may be on the pricey side but it s worth saving your life. Sam is very knowledgeable and he s always in your corner. Megan is wonderful and dedicated. Christy is a certified counselor and good person. As for Malik and his brother words can t describe their passion for recover. Malik is hilarious.

This place is very poorly run. Don t even think about letting your loved one stay here any length of time. We were told that the minimum stay would be 3 months at $3,900 per month. It s not worth it. Believe me, I have been trying to help my son for the last 10 years and this is the worst program he has ever used. The owner is totally unqualified to run a rehabilitation facility and his assistant is rude and obnoxious. I have never given a review before but this time I felt compelled to do so. I don t want you to waste your time and money.

Our family met Sam over 2 years ago to assist with an intervention. Over a 2 year period he walked thru 2 relapses with us. Always available, always compassionate and always providing thoughtful guidance. After getting to know our loved one he helped find the perfect fit in a recovery center. It s been a long journey but thanks to Sam s professional guidance the healing is steady and strong. Thanks Sam. You gave us the confidence and strength to get there. Keep making a difference Sam. I hope you know how many lives you are helping to restore.
