About BrightView

If you are in the Massillon, Ohio area, Brightview Treatment Clinic provides medication for addiction treatment as well as counseling and social support for adults. Brightview has locations across 8 states. So if you are looking for a reputable, experienced substance use treatment center, this may be a good fit. They accept Medicaid, Medicare and other forms of insurance. If you don’t have coverage, they offer payment plans.

They provide medication to help ease cravings if you struggle with opioids or alcohol. The medical team will determine which medication to prescribe you based on your specific situation. They prescribe Suboxone, Vivitrol, methadone, and Sublocade.

A big component in substance use treatment is counseling. In individual sessions at Brightview, you will make progress towards recovery. Addiction counselors will help you process emotions such as anger, guilt, shame and anxiety that may be connected to substance use.

Group therapy can be very healing, too. In those sessions, you will meet and hear from peers who have similar experiences. You will get encouragement from each other through your shared recovery journey.

Social support needs are unique to each person. You might need help with insurance claims or to connect with job training programs. I like that this facility is focused on removing any barriers that come up.

I've been going here for 18months,and this place has gotten worse&worse. They have ZERO compation for anything that I'm going thru in life, weather it be work, children issues or any other life issue I'm going thru. Coming here makes me want to relapse. If there's anywhere else you can go I recommend you go there..I've been looking for 16 of the 18months I've been going here..and after leaving the review, absolutely nothing has or will change w/this place..they're really just here for the pay check, they all know my situation and have never even offered the resources(that I've already utilized)they really don't care what's going 9n with there patients outside of the office..such a shame to have these type of people in the medical field

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Clients who have just completed detox or who are at an increased risk of relapse, such as those experiencing a life crisis, typically enroll in an inpatient rehab. There, they receive housing, meals, and intensive clinical supervision. Inpatient treatment typically involves extensive individual, group, and family therapy. Clients may also participate in life skills training to support their long-term sobriety. Integrative rehab centers offer a variety of evidence-based holistic therapies, such as meditation or equine therapy.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Medical detox involves clearing your body of drugs and/or alcohol under the 24/7 care of licensed medical professionals. If you've become dependent on alcohol or drugs (like benzodiazepines or opioids), quitting abruptly can have uncomfortable and even dangerous side effects. The purpose of medically assisted detox is to keep you as safe and comfortable as possible during this process. Medications like Suboxone or Vivitrol may be provided if necessary to mitigate any withdrawal symptoms.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Individual therapy for drug and alcohol addiction treatment gives you a safe space to discuss your emotional, mental, and physical challenges. Your therapist will guide and support you as you collaborate to develop personalized strategies to manage your stress and navigate the challenges of your recovery.

I would recommend brightview for those in need of their wide range of services in which they offer. They are more than able and willing to assist in almost any area of ones life. One of the greatest things that sets them apart from most recovery services is the fact they will NOT give up on you. If you do not show, they might call to check on you. If you are in a bad environment, they might search to find you a place to go. If you slip in your recovery, they aren't going to dismiss you from their services and send you away. They will also not treat you differently bc of the slip. They are encouraging, inspiring and give you hope when all else seems lost. They may not be the one holding your file on a given day and still stop you in passing to ask if you are doing ok. These things make a huge difference in the motivation it sometimes takes to simply show up. It can be frustrating to sit for hours waiting for group, Dr, drops etc. but I promise 1. They only want to help. 2. They will explain what and why they do what they do.

I've been dependent and and addict using for over a decade. I have never once been given any titration of methadone just kicked out of treatment at cctc and commquest. I was kicked to the curb by them at 240mgs at Canton community treatment center they didn't care that I could die coming off of methadone or that it's required by the national institute of health and Ohio regulations that that is a severe breach in the health and safety of a patient I was lucky I survived not once but twice being discharged with no taper. There are 3 places in Canton to get methadone no detox or doctor you can go to to get off methadone these clinics are required by the state to take the life and health of their patients into account! both commquest and cctc didn't treat me as a human being im lucky to be alive. Not one person at either of the other 2 clinics in town cared if I lived or died they discharged me with no aftercare or titration in dose, no stabilization! knowing full well I could either go back to using, suffer horribly and maybe die... it is their state and federal mandated duty as one of 3 methadone clinics in canton to take responsibility for their care of patients! commquest kicked me out at 110mg after one weeks step down 10mg from 120mg, cctc discharged me spontaneously at 240mg. it's a wonder I'm not dead and they never cared. Now brightview my last treatment center in Canton. I can say I feel more cared for here than before but I expect to be treated as sub human as a methadone patient so we will see what happens. I'm a decade of street dope use clean it happened here but they played no part in my getting clean I just used something to get thought withdrawal from dope while on my methadone use. This is the last place I can go to receive treatment so far so good. If I wasn't white knuckling my life in my hands I would have taken state agency action against other clinics. If I use while on methadone and get kicked out of this clinic there's no detox for methadone you can't take Suboxone your screwed. I will die if I get kicked out here. But I feel the most human here. I haven't been unfairly punished yet for a failed urine and I'm cleaner than ever. It's entirely my doing I don't give brightview credit. I feel like this is the best place I've been and I can't give any negative reviews other than it's the best place there is in canton. I hope they don't not titrate me and discharge me here like I've been abused everywhere it will kill me this time. we will see what happens at this last possible place to get methadone in Canton. No detox or anything it's here or death. There's no oversight. You cannot switch back to Suboxone you can die from cold turkey methadone. how can I not have ptsd. I've learned i shouldn't be expect treated as a human being and be prepared to be oppressed and possibly die at any moment as this is the last place in the city.I have my gripes but here at brightview at least I sort of feel like some of the people care. I'm I was in my shoes and had my experience I would have come here sooner but they are a new clinic offering methadone this wasn't an option before. If your a methadone patient this is the one place that hasn't almost killed me or abandoned me they pass the basic not view addicts as justifiable to kill and oppress test, they give you dignity here. If it wasn't for them at the moment I'd be dead. As long as I can get methadone in canton I'll still be alive. being an addict and a patient I've seen the system for so long I'm prepared to be abandoned and left nonfunctional in no taper methadone withdrawals because I used even though I beat two dependencies and just need methadone to live. If the last juice shop in Canton kicks me out for having a beer or using something once a week even though I'm doing better now than in 13 years I'll for sure be killed by these guys if I get treated like I'm used to being. I have been respected at brightview so far. It's the only respectable place for treatment in Canton if there is such a thing. If methadone patients were treated as human...

This place saved my life. I have been sober 17 months and I am employed and succeeding in life. Carrie and Jodi are both amazing and they actually listen and help in any way they can. They care. Jordan has become someone I trust and feel very comfortable telling my life to. Tricia is always smiling and happy to see patients! I know it is sometimes a long wait/day when you have to visit. But I look at it like this- I was usually ALWAYS waiting on some dope dealer so why complain about having to wait to save my damn life?! Thanks, Bright view for being there.Edit:January 26th 2024Meh. That s what I have to say about brightview now. Don t get me wrong, I still love and appreciate A LOT of staff there. Just not the girls that work at the front desk. The one has the personality of a ROCK and the other hates her job and people.. you can tell. Don t work in the field of addiction if you don t know how to talk to addicts. Period. Some people who are just starting their sober journey aren t emotionally capable enough to handle feeling like they are a burden or are bothering you to do your job. And it can be the smallest thing that send a vulnerable addict back to using. Just do better and be a little kinder. Also, they seem pretty short staffed I sat there for over three hours today. Only to find out said window girls didn t sent my info to OTP that I was ready for meds. An HOUR!! Ugh! Not okay! If ya don t like me, don t mess with me or my emotions because that doesn t end up good for anyone! one more thing- there is a new NP who will try and make you a Guinea Pig. Be SMART and advocate for yourself. Don t be afraid to speak up. Overall I am still satisfied with BV. Just can t wait to be off MAT! Good luck on your journey if you are reading this and are wanting to get sober. It CAN be done. And this place will make it as easy as possible.
