I travel for work and am constantly in need for the office girls to help me with pharmacies and out of state pharmacists. Erin has been my angel for years and is always there for me when i need her. Like anyone who is on these meds we need them and when i start to freak out that i will not have them cause of all kinds of issues she somehow gets it done. Insurance issues etc the people at BRIGHTSIDE are winderful and the doctors are to none. I cant say enough good things about the whole staff from the day i met them all 5 years ago and was givin my life back.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Per session payment lets you pay for each treatment at the time of service. You may also pay for a certain number of sessions up front and then pay for more if needed. This format allows you to tailor the financial investment to your specific needs and avoid having a large lump sum payment due at the end of the treatment program.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs provide a full continuum of care for clients who are exiting inpatient treatment. Though outpatient care is often considered an element of drug rehab aftercare, services typically continue for the remainder of the clients' life and long after formal treatment is completed. Clients work with their case managers and care team to formulate a customized portfolio of medical, mental health, and social service resources designed to evolve as the client's needs change.
12-step icon12-Step
Participants in 12 step programs focus on emotional, psychological, and spiritual growth as the foundation for long-term sobriety. They engage in regular 12 step meetings, which are anonymous, free, and accessible day and night, year-round, in most communities. Participants also receive one-on-one mentoring from a self-selected sponsor. Though the 12 steps of recovery are based on spiritual principles, religious affiliation isn't required. Specialized formats are available, including programs for seniors, teens, and families.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
During the medically supervised detox process, licensed medical professionals monitor your vitals and administer medications meant to help alleviate the physical symptoms of withdrawal. The process can take between five and seven days, although the actual length depends on your individual needs. In most cases, medically assisted detox is partially, if not fully, covered by insurance.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Illinois is designed to help people recover from addiction to a number of substances. The length of each program and its intensity tend to vary, and the plan of care is based on your individual needs.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
child-program thumbnail image
Child Program
The providers who specialize in the children's rehab space understand the specialized needs that this population faces. School-based and social services such as tutoring and family counseling are often central to treatment. Child programs may also address the needs of youth experiencing substance abuse in the home, including a parent's or sibling's addiction.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Trauma therapy provides you with a safe and supportive environment so you can address a traumatic experience. Your therapist helps guide you to understand your emotional, mental, and physical responses while developing healthier coping skills. This helps to improve your emotional resilience and ability to function in the community.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Been a client for EDIT:8 years. Always been treated with respect and dignity. Never any problems and they always look for ways to help with cost of meds. I assure you there are no other places like this. I even have my doctor's cell phone number, if I ever have questions or issues. The girls that work the front desk are amazing and the doctors seem to genuinely care.

I can't say enough about Brightside. Brightside has helped me change my life for the better. I appreciate all the welcoming people on their staff, particularly Mary Jean. She obviously cares very much for her patients and it shows. Most people don't really look forward to their Dr.'s appointments but I always look forward to speaking to Mary Jean. I highly recommend Brightside to anybody seeking treatment. Life can and will get better and Brightside has helped me greatly.

I don't have the words to express how GRATEFUL I am for Brightside! If you find yourself struggling with opioid physical dependency or addiction, Brightside will welcome you with compassion and care, as they have for me, without stigma or shame! The entire Brightside Team (receptionists, nurses, doctors, ALL) truly takes the time to understand your individual, unique needs, works WITH you to find the best treatment plan for you, and remains by your side throughout the journey. They provide a safe space to be open and honest (without fear of being "kicked out" if you happen to "slip-up".. They help alter treatment as needed, through the ups and downs!) The offices are warm and welcoming, no scrubs, no "sick patient" feel or smells... professional, yet laid back and comfortable! I wish to mention every staff member here for going above and beyond, but in my personal experience.. Thank you to Phil, for his vision, for providing a safe space with extraordinary people for what can be a difficult journey! I FEEL your passion! Thank you to Erin for being so welcoming every time I step through that door! Thank you to Kathy, for spending hours helping me find a pharmacy during the shortages! A GREAT thank you to my doctor, Mary Jean, for all your support and compassion throughout all of my own ups and downs! You have helped change my life for the better, and you continue to guide me through all of life's punches! Words cannot express my gratitude, but you have changed my life, and therefore my family's and friends' lives as well! Thank you to ALL of Brightside for all you do! The first step can be the scariest, but reach out to Brightside... They will jump in to help you, and you'll be in safe hands and given the guidance, support, and resources to help find your best self and live a better life! As someone who was prescribed heavy medications to manage my pain at a young age (without warning of physical dependency or tolerance) and experiencing a couple of different situations when seeking help, then finally finding Brightside, who I've now been with for almost a couple of years... Brightside goes above and beyond anywhere I've ever experienced before! THANK YOU, BRIGHTSIDE!

Take these reviews with a grain of salt and read the negatives. If you have other psych meds they will tell you they can prescribe them, but they don't, "like," to. They don't tell you it's not because of licensing or legality, but because Dr Kushner chooses not to buy malpractice insurance for non-suboxone meds. Today after prescribing my psych meds since April (and in years past as a patient prior) they told me they're just not going to anymore. Not everyone can afford your second unnecessary psychiatrist that allows Brightside to basically double their money. They have refused to help me find continuation of care. I believe they are now putting pressure because it will boost revenue and cover their rear end. This upcoming appointment will be my last, Dr Mary also talked me into sublocade as a "miracle drug," and after administering it to me three times said, "I'm not in the business of hurting people so no more Sublocade, back to the strips." What miracle drug do you know that hurts people? Clearly a marketing trick for whatever bonus shes getting from pushing Sublocade since it's a newer medication and the patent hasn't ran out. Oh, they also dont answer the text line if they don't feel like it. Like literally days before I get a response. They've sent meds to the wrong pharmacy several times as well
