If you can go anywhere else I would definitely go to a different ER. I came in to be with my dad and the nurses had my dad crying when I got there to meet him. They are so miserable and not nice to patients. If you re having a bad day don t take it out on your patients and family. Will say the doctor we saw was very nice. To bad nurses weren t the same.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Clients receiving care at an outpatient rehab remain in their own homes and attend treatment as often as daily, depending on the level of need. Outpatient care generally consists of psychotherapy, addiction education, life skills training, and community reintegration support. Many outpatient treatment centers provide step-down care, including partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), sober living, and standard outpatient services. Some outpatient rehabs also offer ambulatory medical detox and medication assisted treatment (MAT).
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
child-program thumbnail image
Child Program
The providers who specialize in the children's rehab space understand the specialized needs that this population faces. School-based and social services such as tutoring and family counseling are often central to treatment. Child programs may also address the needs of youth experiencing substance abuse in the home, including a parent's or sibling's addiction.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.
hearing-impaired-program thumbnail image
Hearing Impaired Program
A sensory disability, such as hearing impairment, can compound the challenges of addiction recovery. Drug rehabs that are specially designed to accommodate the needs of persons with hearing impairments will include special accessibility features and accommodations to make treatment as comfortable and effective as possible. This may include access to American Sign Language interpreters.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Recreational therapy (aka therapeutic recreation) uses creative and fun activities to help with addiction recovery. Recreational therapists lead patients in entertaining and engaging activities like sports or games; art (drawing, painting, sculpture); drama, music, and dance; and/or community outings (field trips) to improve patients' physical, social, and emotional well-being.

I was here for hip replacement surgery. I can't even tell you how wonderful the staff was, especially the nurses and one in particular by the name of linda! She was so great and patient with me. They all treated me so wonderful. The only complaint I have what's that my tabletop was messy all the time. The entire staff from start to finish was wonderful and I stay there for 4 days what's great

I would give them a 0 but I can't. mismanagement of departments is detrimental to your health. I was literally here and discharged only for a couple psych doctors to try to bully me with lies. 1 psych dr yelled at me about needing info , another doctor came in and didn't ASK ME A QUESTION - only talked to my nurse. I have mental illness but should I be stuck in the masses. I read every report and medical record. it's 11.24pm, my nerves are shot because lies were written about me.I have standing therapy sessions, a psychiatrist- I have taken responsibility for my health. now I have to try to sleep not knowing my fate. I have not raised my voice, explained my side to the charge nurse.I find out my fate soon- any info would be great, I have actual screenshots, and did my research.thank you!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience last month and again last night. In September I fell on the sidewalk and smashed my teeth in and fractured my maxilla. I was taken to the Farmington location by ambulance. From the moment I got there until I left 4 days later I had nothing but friendly and attentive nurses and doctors..the ED staff was so nice, the trauma team of doctors, plastic surgery staff and surgical staff in that department. And all the nurses and doctors on my floor after my surgery and the following days I was there... really helpful, friendly, and caring..Last night I went to the ED again at the Farmington location. The nurses and doctors were wonderful and my nurse Nick was outstanding, so nice and caring.. Again I was very happy with the treatment I received. 5 stars for sure!!

The customer service here was amazing! Everywhere from the front desk person who got up and walking is down the hall so we didn't get lost, to the surgery check in guy that gave me and my boyfriend extensive information of everything to expect before during and after the surgery. The nurses and anesthesiologist were super friendly and really made me feel comfortable before the surgery. The hospital was very clean as well. This is now my favorite hospital.

This place is run by villains. My dad was taken out of critical care even though he had extreme pneumonia and couldn't breathe. He drowned in his own fluids and died less than a week later. They don't care about human beings here, they treat patients like a piece of meat moving through a factory line. It would be one thing if they told us they couldn't help him, that it was his time, but they never did. Quite the opposite, they said he was not terminally ill. There are a few nice and caring people here but they are the exception, not the rule. Don't trust it, go somewhere else, if you can find somewhere else...

I would give zero stars if I could.Doctors do not care, staff treats you like a number. I ve never felt more humiliated and degraded by how I was treated by staff here. The staff will lie to you, lie to your family calling in trying to find out where you are, and the nurses and staff will openly laugh at you when you are distressed.I injured my neck in an accident, and none of the doctors examined my neck, or even asked about it when I brought it up. I was there for over 12 hours and no one seemed concerned about my injuries. I guess the staff figured I just don t deserve care.I was denied my blood pressure medicine the entire time I was here.Go to the Livonia location instead. They will actually explain what s happening to you, and they don t treat you like you re supposed to be punished for being sick.PS: FH will also fail to give you your daily medications, so you will feel awful the entire time you are here. People shouldn t have to beg for basic needs.Shame on you.

Corewell Health is about ripping off their patients. The early part of May 2024 I woke up in unspeakable pain. I had red blistering rashes and scars in my scalp and neck area. I was pretty sure I had developed Shingles. I called my doctor's office for an emergent appointment because my regular scheduled appointment was for Mid- June. Dr Martha Pollock saw me & said yes, this looks like Shingles. I told I was going to go to the health department to get the vaccine. She asked me when was my scheduled appointment with her. I said next month in June. She said they could give me the vaccine when I come for regular scheduled office appointment since they do it in the office and it's a 2/dose vaccine given 3/months apart then she gave me a referral to see a dermatologist and I did. However, no mention of a $400 fee or any fee or copay that day or when I came back in June for my regular scheduled appointment in June and my 1st vaccine. To my surprise a couple of weeks later received a billing statement from Corewell Health for $400. I was definitely disappointed that they didn't tell me of this type charge associated with the shingles vaccineI was more disappointed in myself for not asking the question and following my own mind by going to the health department for the vaccine. Okay I will pay it. I sent the 1st payment for $100, 2nd payment for $100 and the statements I received from Corewell Health reflected those payments as the next billing stmt I received showed a balance due of $200. Went back for my regular appointment & my 2nd & last vaccine on 9/26/24 Dr Pollock informs me then she's retiring at & there was something she she have informed me on my last visit my cholesterol was spiked and I should be on medication my diet and exercise wasn't enough I had lost 20 pounds since my visit in June and I found out I should have been on medication since March 2024 when I cholesterol was through the roof. Anyway after my last vaccine on 9/26/24 which was paid & sent directly from my bank on 10/10/24. Corewell has acknowledged receipt of payment for this 2/dose Shingles vaccine. Last week I received another bill from Corewell Health for you guessed it. $401 for the same vaccine. I've called & spoken with numberous CSRs & they all repeated the same language script. They're not hearing me, I went to the dr's office to no avail. I've been told it may be a facility fee, they can't see how the doctor billed, but they will check into it, BCBS has no recourse since they haven't received a billing. One of the Corewell CSRs said they don't bill insurance for a noncovered service. I asked what was the service. The only service I had was the OV which is my regular scheduled 3/month office visit follow up and the the 2nd and last of the 2/dose Shingles vaccine which I have already paid in full $400 to Corewell Health. I won't stop until I get an answer. I will calling all news and Internet media until I know what or why Dr Pollack's office and Corewell Health keeps billing & double billing me for. I am a senior citizen who pays her bills & I have paid them. I can't afford to pay them twice. Paying $400 for this vaccine was already more than enough. To be asked to pay it twice because Corewell does not have the integrity to look at their system changes from Beaumont to Corewell or whatever they need to do to correct their error should not be causing my pressure to get out of control or my credit to be ruined.
