Farmington Location:I reached out to address a refill issue with my primary physician, Dr. Valenti, and was prompted to the front desk (Cyntereia), only to experience unprofessional conduct. Cyntereia was dismissive and hung up on me when I asked to speak to someone higher up. When I attempted to call back, I was hung up on again. This behavior is unacceptable and prompted me to escalate my concerns to patient advocacy. As a long-time patient, I have always valued Dr. Valenti as my primary care physician. However, the lack of professionalism and customer service from the front desk staff today was disappointing and uncharacteristic of the care I have come to expect. The front desk is the face of his office which does not represent him in a positive way.

Sitting in 'fast track' right now with my kid who is having her second allergic reaction in 3 days. 45 minutes for this Dr to put in an order for allergy meds. Then the nurse comes over and with bare hands and takes the pills out of the container and places them into my kids hands to take. WTH2 days ago they were great with her and her reaction is worse this time and I'm actively watching her face and neck swell.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Clients receiving care at an outpatient rehab remain in their own homes and attend treatment as often as daily, depending on the level of need. Outpatient care generally consists of psychotherapy, addiction education, life skills training, and community reintegration support. Many outpatient treatment centers provide step-down care, including partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), sober living, and standard outpatient services. Some outpatient rehabs also offer ambulatory medical detox and medication assisted treatment (MAT).
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Recreational therapy (aka therapeutic recreation) uses creative and fun activities to help with addiction recovery. Recreational therapists lead patients in entertaining and engaging activities like sports or games; art (drawing, painting, sculpture); drama, music, and dance; and/or community outings (field trips) to improve patients' physical, social, and emotional well-being.

awful experience with Dr. Diane Paratore and resident Elaine Bulakhtina. Took my 6 week old daughter to the emergency room on 12/10/24 around 2am due to choking on her bottle, consistently throwing up, not sleeping & struggling to feed. Triage nurses were very nice & compassionate but the second I got back in the room and started explaining what was going on I was met with the rudest responses while talking to me like I was stupid. I didn t know that unless a baby is turning blue while choking or vomiting that it was acceptable. Her bedside manner was awful as well as the resident who from the jump said we re not a pediatric hospital all but implying they had no clue what they were doing. an ultrasound was ordered to which the technician spent 20 minutes holding my newborn down as she s screaming her lungs out struggling to breathe. I finally had enough and took her off the table. 10 minutes later the resident comes in & tells me again we re not a pediatric hospital there s nothing more we can do for you as if they had done anything at all but stress out my baby. no one ever explained the results of any tests that were administered on my daughter. on top of all that her oxygen and heart rate kept fluctuating cause the machine to go into red & beep, not one nurse, doctor or anything came to check on my baby they just dismissed it. highly do not recommend going to this hospital for any type of medical evaluation/treatment. no wonder it s poorly rated, I will be calling HR on the awful treatment received so to everyone please save the trip and DO NOT COME HERE !!

Came here for excruciating pain in my tooth. They sent me back into the waiting room after checking me in, because they "needed to clean a room for me". They then took 3 other patients ahead of me. I sat in the lobby for over 45 minutes crying and whimpering in pain in front of everyone there. I had to ASK them if they were going to put me in a room. I finally got taken back, where I then waited for another TWO HOURS to be administered pain medication, at which point my mouth no longer hurt nearly as much as it did when I had arrived. If I had known they were just going to let me sit around in agony, I would've just stayed home and waited it out there instead of sitting in the hospital, where they charge $300 per minute of air you breath, until they gave me a shot that was no longer necessary.

I went to the ER on Tuesday night and received excellent care. All the staff, from registration to the doctors to everyone in between, were amazing. If I have an emergency, I will definitely come back to this hospital.

I came here with chest pains, palpitations, and a heart rate if 143 that had already lasted 3 hours. Nobody was concerned whatsoever to be urgent even though the waiting room was empty. Once I got a room, literally everyone but one person was extremely rude to me and not gentle whatsoever. The registration lady asked me is there a problem! Because I was moving too slowly to sign paperwork. My nurse missed my vein multiple times, copped an attitude because I suggest she try the other arm. And then I tried asking a question about my IV and she screamed there s no needle in there! And walked out. Pretty traumatizing to go somewhere for help just to be treated poorly by the people who you are relying on to keep your alive and safe. I will never go here again.

Lady at the front desk was very helpful and nice. Went to surgical services on the 3rd floor. Man that was checking people in at Surgical Services was nice, at first. I went to sit down while my wife was called into surgery prep. About 45 minutes later, the guy who was checking people in called my name so I stood up and grabbed my bag. Less than a second after he called my name he says, "come on hurry up I don't have all day come on.".I'm stressed enough with my wife having surgery done and you're going to behave like a child when you're in your 70s? Don't be an ass to people who were polite to you. I don't think he's cut out for dealing with people in the medical field.
