Unfortunately, I've had to consult with many psychiatrists over the course of my and my kids' lives. So I know that Dr. Mike is a true gem--both as a topnotch mental health professional and as a human being. Psychiatry is expensive, but when I was referred to him, at a difficult and scary time, Dr. Mike's clinical insight, professional integrity, and effective guidance proved to be priceless.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
hiv-aids-program thumbnail image
HIV/AIDS Program
HIV/AIDS programs support disease prevention and management in high-risk individuals in recovery. Individuals who engage in intravenous drug use and other addictive behaviors are at a higher risk of becoming infected with HIV. Rehab centers that specialize in treating this population typically have a high number of nurses, physicians, and psychiatrists on staff who can make sure both their medical and mental health needs are met.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

I am a Baby BoomerI worked extremely hard in a highly male dominated career and after 30 years, I retired at the top. It cost me blood, sweat, tears, the target of unjustified political attacks and much more aggravation than the job was worth. I am not a yes person and despite that, I persevered, but at a cost.PTSD, Chronic Stress and Anxiety.Add in a post-Pandemic society consumed with health issues, record inflation, the worst economy in decades, law/order issues, a societal divisiveness fraught with anger/hate/lawlessness, politics, misinformation, climate concerns, immigration, a country you grew up in/fought for, which embarrasses you at times. And watching the news is unbearable. Then comes the family BS (irresponsible/unappreciative family members) and disrespectful people, in general. You can become overwhelmed and easily Depressed.Enter Stress Eating and weight gain. The good news is that society has finally lifted the stigma, and everyone is openly talking about their mental health issues and concerns.Thankfully, there is no longer any shame associated with needing and receiving help; which was not the case in previous generations. (Everything was kept quiet, and people were discouraged from talking about problems and feelings. That is the reason some from the Greatest Generation in my family turned to alcohol. They were not allowed to talk about their feelings, problems, their combat-related disabilities.) Sorry, I digress...So, I did what I did best, I conducted extensive investigative research before making any serious decisions. The Proliance Center, Dr Mike Morejon, and staff are all amazing to work with.Every single person is caring, cooperative, dedicated, concerned about meeting a patient s needs, reference scheduling, prescription refills, etc.Sometimes you deal more often with support staff than you do physicians and that is why the administrative personnel are the backbone of any office or medical practice. They can also be the reason a medical practitioner loses patients if their staff is rude or inefficient. The Proliance Center administrative staff are very professional and effective in their jobs. After my initial secured telehealth meeting, I told my husband that I loved Dr Mike, because he made me feel heard and understood (as does my husband but he does not prescribe antidepressants).I elected to participate in genetic testing to ensure any medication would be compatible for me. It is an option that gives you a lot of insight, not normally available to you without testing, but it is NOT required nor are you pushed into it. I advised Dr Mike, that was one of the reasons I chose The Proliance Center because they offered that type of testing.Coping in today s world is not easy and sometimes it even seems hopeless. But The Proliance Center staff have helped me tremendously.Do your own research then get the help you need. Please!I wish everyone success and good healthXO

We desperately needed to help our son with autism who was out of control. We are so grateful for Dr. Mike. He truly saved us when we didn't know which way to turn. This is also the best run practice I have ever seen. Dr. Mike's team is always quick to respond and has a ton of patience for our son. THANK YOU!

Dr Mike and his staff (Michele, Ana and Karina) are truly wonderful. They are so nice and accommodating and always go out of their way to help out when I need it. Anytime I have had a scheduling issue or an issue getting a prescription filled (due to no fault of their own- usually it s out of stock) they have always helped me out. Dr Mike is extremely nice and personable and you can tell he actually cares about his patients.

After many trial and errors with several doctors, I finally found the one. Dr. Mike is everything you are looking for and more. Sessions are effortless and extremely productive. Communication with the staff is also important to me and his staff is quick, responsive, and courteous.

I personally have been battling with ADHD and OCD for many years. I come from parents who are both doctors and I ll say Dr. Mike is fantastic. I went for many years untreated due to prior attempts that didn t work with other doctors in my childhood. Dr. Mike is precise, thorough, and frankly comes off as very experienced in this area. My life has become far more manageable after working with him. I m now finishing college and feel more confident about my future.

Dr Mike has been my psychiatrist for many years now and I have always been able to count on him. He is very through and on top of things. His staff is very friendly and helpful. I would and have recommended him to anyone who needs help. I recently had a bad manic episode and he was also helpful to my family during that emergency. I am so thankful to have him.

Dr. Mike is the most incredible doctor I know! He is extremely smart and very patient and kind. I have never met anyone like him before. Even when I find myself at a loss to express what I am feeling he always knows just what to say to make me feel better. He is professional and treats people with respect and has so much passion to help others. He loves what he does and he takes pride in always going the extra mile for his patients. Each patient is unique and he makes you feel special. I would travel any distance to see him and would highly recommend Dr. Mike to anyone who wants to see an excellent doctor.
