outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

There are many types of drug rehab in North Carolina. To receive treatment for addiction, you can choose from many inpatient and outpatient programs. Often, participants start with detox and work through a full continuum of care that continues with ongoing support for long-term recovery.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Hand holding medical sign icon Clinical Services

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

desert iconMotivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

We did not serve you. You probably need to leave this review for the facility that served you. Our business has been closed for several months. Thank you.

This facility is the best! If you need an assessment done don t waste your time with anyone else. Her heart is in the business where all these others are in it for the money it seems. Rhonda is sweet and down to earth and just wants to help you through this process and get you through it and put it behind you. Her pricing is fair and her availability works around you. She s the best around!

God bless you Brittany, I hope I can live up to such a wonderful review. Your words are so kind in such an unkind world we appear to live in today and I am so thankful that I truly receive the best of the best clients in the world. I am glad you came to us and yes, we get through it together as a team. Thank you again, Rhonda

Ms. Rhonda is the epitome of integrity. Ms. Rhonda is what I would call a "fluke" in todays recovery industry. She takes personal pride in helping people pull the pieces of their lives back together and enables individuals to have a foundation upon which to launch one's successful life. If you are looking for the best, look no further.

Thank you so very very much Steven. It was a pleasure helping you fix the mess that was made out of your case. I'm thankful you called and allowed me to help you fix this. We are not all the same and I hope we all start working together for our clients instead of having to compete to stay open. Thank you again. It's when someone appreciates what is done for them that makes it worth showing up. Rhonda

I m the father of one of Rhonda's Client's and I wanted to say that she does a phenomenal job with her program. You can tell she sincerely cares about her clients well-being. From an appreciative parent, thank you Rhonda.

Thank you Louis, You ate the first parent that has ever given me a review and I would be proud to have a son like yours. It's easy to get into a bind and much harder to get out of that bind but we will continue to strive to be the very best as you have indicated. I so appreciate your wonderful review. Rhonda

I have worked for Rhonda for 5 years. I have watched her spend countless hours of her own time..no extra pay...to help many many people. Most end up humble and grateful For her time but sometimes you have one or two that act like shes the reason they are there. As if she owes them for her time. Never in our history have we had a complaint or bad review from someone who did what they were suppose to so Rhonda could do what she's suppose to. JS. Great place and people. I thank God that there are people like u Rhonda who cares that someone's mistake isn't their life sentence. She knows exactly what she is doing. I see it day in and day out. So if you r serious about working yourself in the right direction she will guide you the whole way.See y'all soon.

She was more than patient with me and worked with me on my schedule. If it was for her I wouldn t have been able to finish the class. She keeps you motivated and understands what you re going through a lot more than you think. This was the most fun class I ve ever had to take there was always something new and who doesn t want to enjoy the time you spend somewhere if you have to be there.

Response from the owner4 years ago
Thank you so much Amanda. You were extremely patient with us as well as it's been quite the challenge rebuilding after moving twice in one year but thanks to my loyal clients that continue to send me referrals we are still in business. I wish you nothing but the very best. I am so proud of all of the changes you have made. God bless you, Rhonda

Rhonda was nothing short of a blessing. Being on probation and starting my own company, I was very limited on when I was able to attend the classes. She told me that I was able to do 1 on 1's that worked around my schedule. She was also able to do my mental health evaluation per court orders. She was my "easy" button. I wouldn't recommend any other counseling/assessment services besides BK. The most important thing is that Rhonda actually cares about her clients and she is passionate about her job. It was truly a privilege to be a part of her process. Thank you so much, Rhonda!

God bless you Sean. Thank you so much. I hope one day to live up to the good things that you guys say about me. Your remarks were "right on time" as this has been a tough one, yet, I keep coming back because of a promise to God and hopefully to glorify his name and share his grace on all of us. My shortcomings are many yet thanks to God we all can start our day over anytime we want to and we are learning together to do that. Rhonda

I highly recommend going to Rhonda if you are in need of an ADETS class. She made going through the 16 hours very enjoyable and educational. She is professional and very passionate on helping others. Can not thank her enough for fitting me in at the last minuet so that I could take that class.

Response from the owner4 years ago
Lauren, thank you so very much for the review. When we moved we lost 11 years of reviews so taking your valuable time to say something kind and appreciative about BKPCC is appreciated more than I can say in a few words. Have a wonderful week and I wish you nothing but wonderful things in life. You were great to have in group. Rhonda
