About BestCare Treatment Services

BestCare Treatment is a drug and alcohol rehab in Redmond, Oregon. There are several BestCare locations in the area, but this Redmond center has a residential rehab program along with detox care and outpatient treatment. The beauty of having all these in one place is that you can get the right level of care at each stage of your recovery. It’s common to start with detox and then progress into residential rehab and then outpatient rehab.

The residential treatment program here is a short term program that’s meant to help you kick off your recovery journey. You get intensive treatment for a few weeks so you can begin rebuilding a life after addiction.

The programs at this rehab address the many different aspects of addiction and wellness including emotional, physical, mental, social, and spiritual. It’s called a whole patient approach. The goal is to set you up for overall wellness in a way that prepares you for long lasting sobriety. They create a custom treatment plan for each person that uses various therapies and treatment methods along with teaching you coping skills and life skills for staying sober.

Whether you go to BestCare Treatment for inpatient or outpatient rehab, you’ll be welcomed with open arms based on the experiences many of their clients have had. Clients love that they go above and beyond to make sure each person gets exactly the care they need. They can even help people who are having legal issues due to their addiction like people with a DUI.

Not a rehabilitation center! Older biker type man with tattoos, supposedly a staff member got within 5 in of my son's face aggressively and then the female class leader became aggressive with him. Over a bagel. He was heating up a bagel before group and heading to group! He even told them he didn't like that behavior from the staff and he was going to his room.now. The woman told him if he didn't go to group he had to leave! Guess what??!! He left!!! It's suppose to be a safe, comfortable place to rehab and get clean from the substances! Not a military base! Food is a way of coping and comfort while you're getting clean and following the ten cigarette rule a day. How dare these so called people whom most likely are addicts themselves, not give a person the same spaces they needed to get clean!! And I had to hear the sadness and disappointment in my son's voice when he told me that the counselor was the only one and asked only once, what could they do to have him stay. He felt like they were waiting for him to leave the program. Must not have been an all inclusion or welcoming program to deal with in the first place! Maybe they should hold auditions!! Awful.... I'll be calling the insurance company to have payment denied!!

This place has absolutely failed my son. Brian and Adele literally ghosted him when he needed to talk to either one of them because he was afraid he was going to relapse and he did badly so kudos to Brian and Adele. Family members called trying to get a hold of Brian to let him know he was in the hospital with a hard relapse and suicidal and no one cared, not one call back. We didn't want information about our son but just to let them know what was going on so they could possibly get in touch with him in the hospital. Well sober for a few days and now relapsed again feeling abandoned with lost hope because the very people he trusted threw him away. Best care? More like worst care. Shame on this place, more concerned about filling beds and nabbing patients to meet their monthly quota. Please take your loved ones suffering addiction elsewhere, this place simply does not care and in my opinion should be shut down before they have blood on their hands with someone's life they chose to ghost. Completely disappointed with their lack of knowledge despite some of the workers that used to be in the same boat as their "clients" or should I say money makers instead of clients.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Inpatient rehabs differ from outpatient facilities in the intensity and frequency of treatment. Clients in inpatient care reside at the treatment facility for the length of the program. They engage in intensive addiction counseling and recovery-focused life skills training. Treatment programs may draw from a variety of methods, including CBT, DBT, RBT, trauma therapy, and motivational interviewing. Holistic therapies, such as yoga and message, are frequently available to clients in inpatient care.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
This program offers the first level of treatment for those who require a lower level of care, including those facing legal issues from their substance addiction such as DUI. The time commitment for this level of treatment is usually five hours or less a week. This treatment program allows you to live off-site and attend groups and classes during the day. Treatment is developed from an ASAM assessment, and is based upon your individual needs including addiction free pain management. Throughout treatment, you’ll have access to our entire medical staff and highly trained and specialized counselors. In addition, you will benefit from other services that we will coordinate for you (including referral source for residential services, if needed). Meals are provided; transportation is the patient's responsibility.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs are generally predicated on the understanding that addiction disease is chronic and relapsing and the recovery is a life-long process requiring ongoing care. Clients in drug rehab aftercare have typically completed inpatient detox and/or rehab but may still be receiving outpatient treatment. Their unique care plan is usually developed in collaboration with their care team and case manager and may include peer coaching, career counseling, 12 step program facilitation, and related services.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
At certain points in the recovery process, it's important to have support available 24/7. 24-hour clinical care offers a safe environment in which to recover from drug or alcohol addiction in peace, knowing medical detox and other treatment will happen with professionals on hand.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Medically-managed, full-service detox in a small, quiet setting to ensure you’re comfortable and safe during withdrawal. Their medical director is a licensed addiction specialist and our nursing staff is both licensed and certified. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Oregon offers a full continuum of care for those struggling with addiction. From detox, to inpatient, to outpatient, to aftercare, Oregon residents can find the support they need for recovery. This treatment empowers individuals to replace drug use with positive alternatives and develop a healthier lifestyle.

Their Redmond Residential/Detox provides mental health services in a co-occurring treatment model. We work with both drug and alcohol issues as well as the co-occurring mental health concerns that may arise during an individual’s stay with us. When substance abuse is driven by an underlying or co-occurring mental health disorder, such as bipolar disorder, depression or anxiety, a dual diagnosis-based program is indicated to treat both the addiction issues and the underlying disorder at the same time.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Amazing facility, stellar staff, classes that are actually helpful and routine based rehab. I can't express fully how much this place helped me. If you care to help yourself, this place will get you where you need to be. Counselors Carolyne and Regina are pros, and truly care about their clients. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who is serious about their recovery.
