Accepted Insurance

Beacon Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Clients who enroll in an intensive outpatient program (IOP) are typically either in early recovery or are experiencing a crisis that increases their relapse risk. These programs promote clients' sustained sobriety through robust support, including multiple, extended care sessions per week. Intensive outpatient treatment often encompasses an array of services, including psychotherapy, recovery education, and evidence-based holistic therapies, such as acupuncture and meditation. Many outpatient rehabs also offer medication assisted treatment (MAT).
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Clients in rehab aftercare programs receive a customized portfolio of services designed to promote their sustained sobriety. These clients have completed high-level treatment, are typically exiting detox and/or intensive inpatient care and are reintegrating into their home, workplace, and community. Rehab aftercare services address addiction disease as a chronic condition requiring continuing care. Clients typically work with case managers and recovery teams to access necessary resources, such as peer coaching and 12 step program induction support.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

When you choose drug rehab in New York, you'll participate in a variety of treatments that are designed to help you live a drug-free lifestyle. Common methods of treatment include group, individual, and family counseling, medication management, nutrition, exercise, and management of co-occurring mental health disorders.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. I disagree with the comments I ve seen here. I went here for 9 months, 12 years ago and they changed my life. I have and still do highly recommend them. If you truly want to get healthy, my money is on Beacon. I attended for alcoholism, drug addiction may be different than my treatment.

I went here a few years ago as a condition of bail after being arrested at a protest. It was sold to me in court as a simple drug test and interview. I tested clean every time yet I was made to come in repeatedly on short notice from work for more testing. After reading other reviews on here I'm almost glad I didn't have health insurance that covered their services lest I was kept here longer. I'm already over 1k of debt with interest from the "services" I received. The counselor was aggressive in trying to get me to admit to problems I didn't have. She repeatedly suggested I had alcoholism after I alluded to a fight I had years before my session. I drink only socially, if at all. Her first draft of an eval for me said as much, and I refused to sign until it was amended to more accurately reflect my drinking habits and the time at which the fight took place.Be sure you read EVERYTHING before you sign any sheet of paper. Not to mention the place is absolutely soulless. The other two workers I interacted with apparently hate their jobs and are so detached from everything that they may as well be zombies. There is no decor, the carpet is disgusting, everything is a poorly lit beige-yellow reminiscent of the surrendered pee this business exists to collect. If you have any choice in the matter, avoid this place!!!

This place should be ashamed of themselves. Go for an assessment and because I drank a beer 3 weeks ago that I need 3 months of treatment. My insurance that only covered 10% of the payment so was done in cash. This is probably why they said I need 3 months of treatment. Absolute embarrassment this place is. This is after they drug screened me twice (past both with no problems) and took over 200$ from me. I was suppose to get 2 weeks of random drug test and the 1st day they called to tell me I need treatment. They have no reason to think I need treatment. All this place wants is money. Pathetic

It's an insurance scam abusing people trying to prove their innocence in court. This company does not play by the rules. They violate DSM guidelines to create a diagnosis and keep clients with decent insurance there. They should be sued and lambasted for infringing on civil rights of innocent and decent people.I wish I saw reviews earlier. They are right.I've been an A student my whole life, I have a college degree in finance, I've held excellent records of employment, I became a business owner and now I'm a great mother.I naively went there to prove my innocence.Beacon makes makes me feel trapped like jack Nicholson in "one flew over the cuckoos nest."I have an exhusband who tries to get child support out of me after we agreed to 50/50 custody, so he accused me of being an alcoholic which I'm not. Beacons oppressing oversteps and violations of my liberties adds to the traumatic experience of escaping an abusive ex-spouse.I went for an evaluation at beacon center. They lied continually, telling me I'm being "evaluated" when only weeks later tell me I'm being "treated". Even after 2 months of clean toxes. They charge insurance for you to come to group sessions, which is addicts talking, not employed staff counseling you. How is that "treatment" for a problem I never had to begin with? They find ways for innocent people to stay there just like the other reviews say. It's obvious it's for insurance purposes.
