Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

medical-detox iconExperiential Therapy

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

I found the staff helpful and kind. When I felt like I was going to lose it, I would talk to someone to prevent an episode. Johnny was a huge help. You have to know the right person to ask. It took me a whole to figure it out when I was new. John asked us to write a review. The food is so so. Sometimes there wasn't enough in the trays, but after enough people complained they added more. There aren't enough groups in my opinion, but the ones they do have are helpful. The only thing that really bothered me is my father told me he called with my patient code and the kept hanging up and didn't tell me he called.

So I called beacon behavioral hospital to reform the situation I was put in by there staff they gave me delusional seizure autism and depression medication truthfully I don't have autism I don't have seizures I'm not delusional my depression was already suppress with medication on file before they added medicine without properly telling me the use of this medicine just told me to take it I have been taking depression medicine for over ten years and many different hospitals I've been to readjusting medicine evaluated me and they never claimed I was delusional.being delusional is contradictory with my illness I know i told the truth so how am I delusional I'm definitely not so now because beacon gave me false representation of my illness my charts say something that is false diagnosis that other doctors may confuse Beacon doctors never talked to me about being delusional at all .even when asked do I hear voices or see hallucinations I told the truth I don't .no .and I don't talk to myself nor am I triggered by patients having episodes.im very smart my grades prove it also graduating high school furthering.today on the call just five minutes ago I was told I can't come back to beacon behavioral hospital because I'm discharged two months ago even tho I need new medicine also needing to refresh my file that is now false advertising my illness very disrespectfully I pray doctors remain professional .the social worker I was given has put me into a group home hands on adult family living LLC. That Is infested with rats climbing out of the wall and moving the stove with great sounds in the night and even climbing back and forth in and out the wall in the room I woke up and a rat was on my bed acknowledging this to beacon staff nurse I was avoided to be reevaluated the group residents here seem to be preyed on .regarding beacon the staff only gave no help regarding these issues of false diagnosis and plagued placement for living arrangements Beacon behavioral hospital im very disappointed I called you for help and you kicked me when I was down and didn't offer a resolution refunding the reevaluated reasisment abandoned me being careless and neglecting proposal not helpful apologies sincerely professed those mistakes should not go unresolved so unprofessionally now I'm sure I have to fight for the truth of my illness with other doctors being reevaluate elsewhere and part of my illness already people thought I was delusional but honestly I told the truth and I'm not and I don't have autism with due respect so no thanks for making my situation worse staff I was told on the phone days before this call I was diagnosis by a social worker excuse me that is not mental health insurance I'm very disappointed

This facility is well known for the staffs connection with its patients, the friendly environment, and the doctors readiness for anything that should happen to both patients, or staff. Regardless of the case. The facility can hold up to 100 patients, and is very cost effective. It has been known by all patients as a good place to go to in a time of need of help. I would most definitely recommend this facility before any other place for either mental, or physical health needs.

Darrell crewI beacon is a good facility for people with mental health issues. Ive gotten the help I needed. Just being able to talk able that's happened in my life. This place is a blessing. Group therapy has given me a different outlook on life. Hearing other people's stories has made mine seem not so bad as I thought. But over all Beacon is a good place for help.

Darrell crew was great. Super friendly and caring. Jon was awesome and Telecia. Most of the staff seem to genuinely care. Wish there were more activities to occupy the day.
