About Bay Area Recovery Center – Women’s Drug & Alcohol Rehab

Bay Area Recovery Center’s Women’s Drug & Alcohol Rehab is an addiction and mental health treatment clinic that provides detox services, residential inpatient (IP) treatment, and outpatient (OP) programs for women who’re struggling to cope with an addiction.

This facility accepts several different insurance policies, but it’s best to verify your insurance before you seek out treatment. You can call the clinic directly to verify your insurance will help you get the care you need.

In the detox program, you’ll first get an evaluation that includes your history of drug use and any psychiatric or behavioral symptoms you’ve experienced in the past. Once the team has an idea of your current situation, they’ll plan for your stabilization. This might include medications as you go through withdrawal in the supportive environment.

The facility also offers inpatient treatment programs for either 30, 60, or 90 days. During the inpatient program, patients can attend group therapy, cognitive therapy, and behavioral therapy. The facility offers structured daily routines and programs to help maximize success rates.

The care center also offers outpatient treatment options for patients who need a more flexible schedule. One great thing about this facility is that they offer online outpatient programs for individuals who can’t make it to meetings in person.

One of the best and most notable features of this facility are the reviews from past clients. This clinic has an outstanding rating, and past clients repeatedly praise the recovery center. Many past clients say that they are years into their recovery process thanks to the tools they acquired and skills they learned at this addiction treatment facility.

Medical briefcase icon Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

After completing some form of inpatient care, many clients transition or step down to an outpatient rehab, while some choose to transition from detox directly into outpatient care. High-intensity outpatient programming, including partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) is widely available for clients in early recovery, those leaving detox, and those at an elevated relapse risk. Clients in outpatient care generally engage in robust addiction counseling and recovery education, and some also receive medication assisted treatment (MAT).

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive outpatient programs offer high-level care for clients as an increased risk of relapse, including those in early recovery, those with a strong history of relapse, and those experiencing a crisis. Intensive outpatient treatment typically requires clients to engage in nine to 20 hours of care weekly, with treatment modalities that combine psychotherapy and recovery education, and holistic therapies, such as acupuncture and animal therapy. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is also common in alcohol and/or opioid recovery.

aftercare iconAftercare

Rehab aftercare programs are based on a model of continuing care and the premise that recovery is a life-long process requiring ongoing client support. Many rehab aftercare services include outpatient care, but clients often continue to receive support after being discharged from formal treatment. Case managers and care teams typically collaborate with clients to design their long-term care plan, which may include peer coaching, career counseling, and 12 step program induction, among other services.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

sober-living iconSober Living Homes

Residents of a sober living home in Texas reside at the halfway house with others who have agreed to abstain from substances and practice sober-living skills. The relationships and accountability formed here can help individuals strengthen their mental health and achieve long-term recovery. Residents share common spaces such as kitchens and back yards, share meals together, and share household responsibilities such as cooking and cleaning.

heart-hands iconIntervention Services

A drug intervention in Texas may be necessary if your loved one is in denial about a substance use disorder. You can partner with intervention services to plan and execute an effective intervention that educates your loved one about addiction and encourages them to get the treatment they need. Many rehab centers offer intervention specialists who can facilitate the intervention and help with a seamless transition to inpatient rehab for treatment.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

During rehab in Texas, you'll deal with underlying issues that contribute to addiction. By addressing these challenges and learning healthy ways to cope with them, you'll develop strategies that help you live a drug-free lifestyle.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Hand holding medical sign icon Clinical Services

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

desert iconMotivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Together with an experienced trauma therapist, you work on healing emotional wounds from traumatic experiences within a trauma therapy environment. Your therapist will help you process the experience of the trauma, which promotes emotional healing and improves your overall mental health.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

I loved the time I spent at Bay Area Recovery Center. I was terrified walking through the door. I was greeted with hugs and reassurance it would get better. I cried when my family left and a month later I cried about having to leave. I learned so many valuable lessons about recovery and everyday life. It s definitely one of a kind and I d recommend it. I was able to heal in so many ways, and I will be forever grateful.

I crawled into BARC drunk and using fentanyl (amongst many other drugs). I was desperate for help. I was medically detoxed and cared for by the wonderful staff here. The love and kindness that was poured into me was everything I didn t know I needed. I learned about why I used/drank and what I can do to grow from it. I ve gained a treasure trove of tools to use for life and a tribe of women I now consider family. I have a new design for living today and I will always be forever grateful for the women who showed me that. This place SAVED MY LIFE!

Response from the owner3 months ago
Hi Rhiana, Thank you for sharing your experience. You know sometimes we have to be saved from ourselves. Then surrounded by people that want nothing more than for you to experience what they have received. Yes, personal journey's , education, and experience allow our counselors to provide necessary tools for overcoming addiction. However, just importantly is the community of people you now consider family. Your peers add so much value to your life and you to theirs by being selfless, loving, and helpful to the new comers. It's an ongoing circle that makes our program so successful. You and other alumni are a huge part of that. So Thank You! Enjoy living happy, joyful and free...

Most Rehabs are like puppy mills. Get them in, get them out. They do not communicate with family members.Nothing is set up after recovery. For the most part they are all terrible.BAY AREA RECOVERY is the EXCEPTION!Fantastic communicators. They know what they are doing. Great out patient services. There is a reason for the 4.6 rating.

This place has absolutely saved my life over and over again. I was a client in May of 2015 and this May I will celebrate 9 years sober. The treatment plans and inclusivity that Bay Area Recovery Center implements is life changing and I would not be the woman, mother, and wife I am today without the tools they provided for me to apply to the beautiful life I have now. I often visit as an alumni and it is a great place to return to for some spirituality! Love this place and the staff. I highly recommend Bay Area Recovery Center.

This place is nothing short of wonderful. It is full of hope, love, kindness, understanding, and wisdom. The staff is amazing and empathetic, and they go to great lengths to carry the message of recovery to the clients. There is a reason why the alumni come back repeatedly to remain connected and to give back; once you ve experienced recovery at BARC, great things begin happening for you. I am 100% certain that an anointing has been placed upon BARC, and that all who attend treatment here leave full of gratitude and deep appreciation for the gifts they ve received. Do not hesitate about getting help at BARC. Believe it and receive it. You are worth it.
