About BAART Programs

BAART Programs help men and women in their healing journey from opioid use through medication assisted treatment. This technique delivers “whole person” healing by combining counseling and FDA approved meds. It is a tried, tested and trusted approach to opioid use treatment that offers the best recovery outcomes. BAART Programs has a location in Carmichael, California.

You should consider their program if you or your loved one is going through opioid use challenges. They can help you handle addiction to common opiates like fentanyl and heroin prescription pain meds in an outpatient setting. They offer personalized outpatient opioid treatment that sets you on a path to lasting and holistic healing. This means that your physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing is taken care of.

BAART Programs Carmichael is neither hard to find nor the location difficult to access. Carmichael is a suburban community within the Greater Sacramento area. SacRT Bus Routes 23 and 129 stop directly in front of the treatment facility. This can be a great option for locals seeking care here.

People coming from Roseville and Folsom can arrive faster through private transportation. It’ll take between 20 to 25 minutes of travel time. Services like Uber and Lyft operate in the Sacramento area as well. This presents additional means of accessing the location. Medi-Cal patients may qualify for the transportation assistance provided by the facility. This depends on your plans though.

You’ll really appreciate the welcoming and nonjudgmental atmosphere within the facility. It makes you feel safe and comfortable. The staff will calmly greet you in an understanding manner upon arrival. They’ll give you a brief overview of the services including the meds, behavioral therapy and other support resources available here.

They’ll then proceed to conduct a thorough medical assessment involving a review of your medical and substance use history as well as current health. Medical testing may be conducted as well. This detailed evaluation helps them to tailor treatment to your unique needs.

Your personalized care here will involve a prescription of either Methadone or Buprenorphine. These meds reduce or eliminate cravings and painful withdrawal symptoms. This enables you to focus fully on tackling the behavioral aspect of things via counseling. Counseling helps you uncover the underlying emotional issues driving your opioid use and build strong coping skills to prevent relapse. You’ll also receive special education on substance use and relapse prevention.

BAART Programs Carmichael provides tailored and coordinated care for pregnant women in recovery. This is important because expectant moms require specialized attention to ensure the safety of both mom and fetus. The clinic also offers guest dosing services. This can be helpful if you’re traveling or temporarily away from your home treatment facility and need to maintain your meds schedule without interruption.

Their full spectrum of care includes case management and personal discharge planning. Case management may include access to affordable housing for homeless patients, job placement for the unemployed and medical care via community linkage. This may also form part of their discharge plans.

BAART Programs Carmichael accepts Medi-Cal, Medicare and Medicare Advantage Plans. Self pay options and private insurance is acceptable as well. They’re part of the VA Community Care Network through Optum and TriWest. This is subject to authorization though.

Great bunch of people working there. From Mikey at the front desk on weekends, to Janean and Shay in medical. Each of them compassionate, conscientious and kind, choosing to help others attain their individual goals in sobriety. I've heard horror stories of other clinics treatment of clients, that doesn't exist here.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

Opiate Addiction Treatment Centers specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Rational Behavior Therapy (RBT) is a form of cognitive behavioral therapy meant to be short-term and comprehensive. It was intended to help clients become more self-sufficent and move forward without the need for expensive, ongoing therapy. It includes an emotional self-help method called “rational self-counseling,” the purpose of which is to give clients all the skills needed to handle future emotional issues by themselves, or with significantly less professional help.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Ever since I have become a new patient of this clinic I have improved in so many aspects of my recovery. They have truly given me the concern and care that I need to become successful in my recovery. They're unlike any other program I've experienced. They're open-minded and patient. I'm always greeted with smiles and people remember my name and they just truly treat people so much better than the other clinics. There's always someone there to offer services like vaccinations and testing and it's a positive atmosphere. The parking lot is safe and the building is absolutely clean. The nurses are all the most professional kind and hardest working people I have ever experienced. Never before have I ever felt I positive attitude towards the place that I have to get up early in the morning and go get the help that I need. Instead of dreading waking up early I look forward to it. I was overlooked at other clinics and discarded as a maybe possible trouble patient but here I'm treated like a patient with special needs. They're handicap accessible. Even the security guard is kind and compassionate and helpful. If only other clinics could even try to do the things that Baart Fair oaks does. Because they have truly changed my life and attitude for the better they should be recognized for their excellence. After being a patient a little longer I would like to make an edit. My counselor Frank has been like family to me and has helped me to understand things about myself it's taking years for me to see. I have mental issues I've had a lot of trauma and I am sometimes a little standoffish. They are such good people and good people that they'll give you love when they see you that way. They don't get upset with you they love on you. I have decided to care more for myself and going to start getting my physical fixed and try to become a whole human being again.

My experience with this clinic has been horrible. If you have a chance, go to Norwood as they treat you with dignity and respect. The people at the front desk and dispensing are really kind and helpful at Carmichael but the others are not at all about recovery. It's actually sad because some people really want and need help!!! The only thing about dispensing is that one lady was playing on her phone for almost 5 minutes while I stood in line - I finally had to go to the window and ask her to help - they should have rules about phone use when people are waiting. Also, one time I was in line for over two hours and another over an hour so staffing is an issue as well. UPDATE: The clinic took all my steps away because I was 3 minutes late (I don't have a car) on a Friday and it was a 3 day weekend so I had to be readmitted (which takes at least 3 hours). So I was struggling to get to the clinic once a week and now I had to struggle to find a ride 6 days a week! Because it's costing me so much in transportation costs I am a month and a half late on my rent and my home phone and cable have been shut off! I was SO excited to get through the 3 months and when I asked my counselor for at least one step back she told me I would have to take it up with the clinic manager. This has been a nightmare!!! I am at a total loss!!!
