Avia Mental Health located 320 Macdade Blvd. Collingdale Pa. 19023, has been an asset for our community! It has provided me with supports for my children, such as a full Wrap Around Services with experience behavioral health consultants and behavioral health technicians! In addition, they specialized in providing services for individualized therapy! They have a renowned doctor to provide monthly medication management! Our family s experience has been awesome and the great thing, is that they are still growing, but what a phenomenal start!

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient rehabs specialize in providing comprehensive care for clients who choose to remain in their homes and communities during treatment. Their services may include transitional support for clients stepping down from intensive inpatient programming. Ambulatory medical detox may be provided for clients at low risk for withdrawal complications. Many programs include evening, night, and weekend services to accommodate clients who are working professionals or caregivers. Addiction counseling and life skills training are common treatment modalities.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
A medical detox is the safest way to wean your body off drugs and/or alcohol in an inpatient setting. When detoxing from addictive substances, the physical and psychological side effects of withdrawal can cause mood swings, anxiety, nausea, or flu-like symptoms. In medically assisted detox, a team of medical professionals are on hand 24/7 to help alleviate potential withdrawal symptoms, administer medications to alleviate withdrawal symptoms, and ultimately keep you safe and comfortable throughout this process.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
child-program thumbnail image
Child Program
The providers who specialize in the children's rehab space understand the specialized needs that this population faces. School-based and social services such as tutoring and family counseling are often central to treatment. Child programs may also address the needs of youth experiencing substance abuse in the home, including a parent's or sibling's addiction.

Clinical Services

Personalized therapy sessions in Pennsylvania typically include a safe and nonjudgmental setting in which you can express your deepest emotions and feelings and explore the factors that have contributed to addiction. Therapists tailor the sessions to help you develop healthier thought patterns and behaviors, which improve your self control and build a foundation for your long term sobriety.

Family therapy teaches individual family members in Pennsylvania the benefits of collectively combating addiction. Therapists help individual members establish healthy boundaries between themselves and their loved one who is struggling with addiction. This helps improve emotional support systems and creates a bond so families work together to sustain long term recovery.

If it wasn't absolutely impossible to get my son services everywhere else I can tell you he WOULD NOT be coming here. They are so unorganized and unprofessional. He has saw his Therapist 3 out of 6 times he's been scheduled. The receptionist is the absolute worst and I can honestly say I've have never encountered anything like her. It makes all the sense in the world that it was easy to get my son in this place. Just absolutely disgraceful!!!

My daughter has been a patient of aviva for several years. If we could pick somewhere else to go without the extensive wait, we certainly would. The lack of communication between staff at this facility is abysmal. Not every staff member we have encountered has been bad. There were a few great people. The dr my daughter sees for her monthly med checks has been great at listening and helping us out. The TSS currently on her case is AMAZING. if they could clone her, they'd be much better off. But the fact that they NEVER check messages or return phone calls is a huge issue and has been from day one. They lie and say theyve called you back. I will gladly submit my phone records of the days you claim to have called me. One time, we went in and scheduled my daughters next med check appointment and come to find out after that, it changed without anybody calling and giving me the heads up. The way we found out was the dr calling me for the next appointment (which was only a week or two after her last med check and she said the original appointment was cancelled the office shouldve called but SURPRISE they didnt). I miss the service coordinator that was there years ago. She was so organized and on top of things we never had to wait until last minute to find things out related to the case. They blame staffing issues on the pandemic. But they are so unorganized. Ive gotten phonecalls about new staff being assigned to my daughters case when her case was already fully staffed. Ive had the wrong childs name on my daughters paperwork. What isnt wrong with this place should really be the question? It really is such a shame because there are a few good staff still there. I just hope they can stay!

I interviewed here and the atmosphere is dark and depressing but the staff I met were nice but I was turned off when in the middle of my interview the site director answered the phone and had a conversation for over 15 minutes and never apologized or even said I am sorry do you mind I need to take this. The vibe was rude, stand offish and her demeanor unprofessional. I've done Op for over 20 years this has to be one of the worst places to interview with too bad.

This place is the worst. If I could rate them in negative stars, I would. They consistently miss appointments and then lie and say they called. They are VERY unprofessional in dealing with clients. I was repeatedly lied to during my call and the receptionist continued to make statements that she knew were untrue. They do nothing to help the client. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone; they will detrimental to your mental health. Truly the worst!

How am I being stalked from someone from this company and they work in mental health never met Kristien Taylor in my life! Repeatedly stalks, threatens and slanders me. All this over a misconception of who I am or not? I have asked her to leave me alone and that simply doesn't work. The messages of her slandering my name is on a mentally challenged family member Facebook page. What type of person is this?
