This location and its staff have been absolutely phenomenal throughout my appointed physical therapy. Not sure how they do it but I don't think I've ever dealt with a better staff. Always friendly, courteous and in good spirits... no matter how many times I rescheduled. Awesome experience.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

During rehab in Texas, you'll deal with underlying issues that contribute to addiction. By addressing these challenges and learning healthy ways to cope with them, you'll develop strategies that help you live a drug-free lifestyle.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Dr Michael and his wonderful team Louisa, Zaira & Ceci are truly a dynamic group! I unfortunately was in a car accident in February 2024 and needed physical therapy to be able to work comfortably again. Over the couple months, I have experienced such care and support from Dr Michael and the ladies at Austin Total Healthcare (at the 2nd street location). With my busy work schedule they have been very understanding and flexible when scheduling my appointments. Also, hablan espaol! Thank you ladies & Dr Michael for all your care and support!

The most important part of any business is the customers and the service that is provided to them. My experience at this facility has been exemplary from start to finish. The staff could not have done a better job at any level of the process. Professional, consistent, informative easy to work with. I have met enough people to recognize the difference between average and above average. Every single person that I had interaction with gave me no less than world class service and attention and what impressed me most was that, regardless of my social status, I received the same respect as anyone one else. This establishment is world class service !!!

Dr. Davis, Dr. Dylan, Luisa and the rest of the staff made me feel welcomed & very comfortable at every visit. They addressed all of the problem areas and gave me effective workout routines on how to recover without hurting myself. Office is very clean, Definitely #1 recommended by me. Love the adjustments they do on the body! I feel my best every time I walk out of there.Thank you Austin Total Health Team!

WARNING! DO NOT GO HERE. THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF!I went for one adjustment, was there 15-20 minutes the most and they sent me a bill for $732.00. It was an insurance claim so makes sense for this company to charge that ridiculous amount. The reason why I'm reposting a 2nd negative review is because after the first review the manager at the time called me and asked me to remove it and she would dismissed the ridiculous charges, so I accepted the deal and I removed my negative post. She even emailed me a letter stating that i didn't owe anything and had a zero balance.Trust me I did not feel comfortable doing that at all. Goes to show what a scam this business is.Now, months later, I receive a couple of text messages saying I need to pay a debt from Austin Total Healthcare for the amount of $732.00 and that it will affect my credit through Equifax. Again, I trusted the deceiving manager who tricked me into believing her lies. Contacting an attorney now cause this has gone too far and must be stopped, who knows who else she has tricked and scammed. This place needs to be shut down, ASAP!SO PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE AND DONT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS.Reason why I posted this Today 7/12 is cause now I'm being harassed by CAD debt collection by text and now over the phone, so my credit has been affected as well i don't think they removed the debt. The owner himself supposedly called them to cancel the collection last week. Thanks Austin Total Healthcare.

Austin Total Healthcare has provided healthcare services to the community for over 25 years, treating thousands of patients throughout that time. Upon reviewing our patient records, there does not appear to be anyone under the name Eddie G. that has been treated at our facilities. We noted the negative feedback regarding an experience at one of our locations. While we cannot confirm details without proper patient identification, we aim to address any issues or concerns in a respectful manner. Please contact our business office directly (512) 447-9675 to discuss further and allow our staff to research the matter appropriately. Our goal is to ensure all patient interactions meet the highest standards of quality care and customer service. You are also welcome to provide more details to help us identify the correct facility involved, so the matter can be looked into fully and addressed accordingly. Thank you
