THANK YOU ASCENT BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TEAM!! I am more than thankful for the all of the staff that has helped me in my recovery, I have so many amazing tools now in my shed to help aid in my recovery. I can't say enough thanks to Pam my class facilator in bringing to light the best way for me to use what I have learned in group and put them to work in my everyday life. I am more than grateful for Josh who has helped lend a ear and given positive feedback when I needed it and helping aid in paperwork that was needed to help me in my recovery process while in sober living. The receptionists where beyond helpful and accommodating and always remembered me by my name. I would strongly recommend Ascent for a positive experience in helping others decide when choosing to begin the recovery process. If you work the program you can and will succeed with Ascent. I recently completed treatment here and it was such an amazing experience. The staff is absolutely wonderful. Josh helped to provide so many resources to me while I was in treatment, but also made sure I knew what resources were available once I completed my treatment. Pam was the most incredible counselor and I feel so lucky to have had the chance to be in her class. She has helped me in so many ways. My time here will never be forgotten. Highly recommend for those who are looking for help.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Clients requiring treatment in an inpatient rehab are often those who need stabilization support as they exit detox or contend with a life crisis. Residing at the treatment facility enables clients to focus exclusively on their recovery. They engage in extensive psychotherapy and recovery-focused life skills training to support their sustained sobriety and prepare them for outpatient and community-based care. Evidence-based holistic therapies, such as experiential therapy and meditation, are also commonly available.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Clients participating in a rehab aftercare program receive a variety of services designed to support their sustained sobriety and successful reintegration into their home, workplace, and community. Rehab aftercare services may include formal outpatient care, such as addiction counseling and recovery education provided in an outpatient treatment center. They may also include community-based services, including 12 step program induction, peer coaching, and vocational training. These programs are typically designed in partnership with the client's case manager.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
A sober living home in Idaho is a residence where individuals in recovery stay until they feel ready to live on their own. These drug-free environments can help individuals transition from inpatient rehab to day-to-day life. Typically, residents stay for at least 90 days, but they can remain for as long as they continue to abide by halfway house rules. These include maintaining sobriety, contributing to household chores, paying rent, and abiding by a curfew.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
When an individual's life is negatively impacted by substance use but they are resistant to treatment, a drug intervention in Idaho may be appropriate. Drug intervention programs are designed to break through this resistance and motivate the person to get help. During the intervention, the specialist helps loved ones bring reality to the individual and break through barriers that are preventing them from getting the help they need.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Medical detox is the process of removing addictive substances from your body in a medically supervised setting. With the aim of keeping you as safe and comfortable as possible, a team of licensed medical professionals monitors your vitals and may provide medications if needed to alleviate any withdrawal symptoms. Medically assisted detox is generally partially covered by most private insurance and insurance plans under the Affordable Care Act.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Idaho provides treatment for addiction to drugs. It usually includes a combination of treatment methods that can involve counseling, medication, and a variety of evidence-based therapies. Programs are designed to help individuals manage their substance use disorder long-term.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

It's amazing the motivation and desire one can have when they can truly feel the love and concern shown to them. It's definitely a one of a kind place for individuals out of prison and on parole. This has been a great experience.

This place is amazing, very helpful and caring. I've struggled with addiction for a long time, from 19-27 I never thought I was going to change and nothing was going to make me change. I had Sammy as my case manager and julene as my counselor/group leader, they both are such amazing individuals. I recommend anyone to get counseling with julene while your there, I was set to every month but changed it to every week, julene is so wise, caring, smart, helpful, positive, heartful, and such an amazing person. Definitely go in person as much as you can as it makes a huge vibe difference, I did it by zoom for awhile and then started going in person and it changed the whole feeling of my growth. You have to be willing to change and take advice. Her advice and ideas has helped me so much in my recovery and way I go about things. I'm very thankful and blessed for the opportunity to have been apart of your group julene. Thank you so much for everything, I will never forget you, your smile, contagious laughter, advice and wisdom. You helped me so much in my recovery and I'm proud to say I'm still sober and will not be turning back to the dark, mean, pessimistic way of thinking I once had. Sammy is awesome and attentive, super helpful with her referrals and advice, staying on top of taking care of you. Writing letters, or anything you need she is there to help you. She's also really really hot. Thanks again ascent you guys ROCK!!!!

My case manager Josh and my class leader Julene are the best people one could ask for regarding this journey to recovery and getting the tools needed to accomplish this hardest of endeavors in life! Initially i was shy with speaking out about my personal addiction in a group of people from all walks of life and stages in their addiction & recovery, but Julene is so personable and responsive that you want to share and open up! You learn so much from the knowledge she has to share and seeing the struggles of others you share class with! One of our classmates had overdosed and unfortunately passed away during our 3 months of classes! It really opened all of our eyes and truly just cemented our resolve in continueing on with our addiction prevention plans and leading a healthy, productive, alcohol/drug FREE lifestyle!! Hands down one of the best experiences of my life and i cant say enough how important folks like Julene & Josh are for some of us that are dealing with addiction and overcoming it! Will miss you guys! -Matthew S. Moore
