Burrell Behavioral Health Center is the worst place I ever have visited, the facilities are horrible, the waiting times are overwhelming, I have waited for hours for absolutely nothing because they don't do their work. They don't treat their clients very well. The medical staff gave me the most horrible experience in treating my mental health illness. If you really want to get a real recovery, please stay away from here, they don't care about the well being of their patients.

This is the BEST 30 day facility I have EVER been to. They came and picked me up and showed me nothing but love the whole time I was there. The councilors and peer support are TOP NOTCH there is nothing better than learning about recovery from people who have been through recovery. The H&I meetings are truly amazing, the AA & NA come to the facility and tell their stories. All the story s were good and helped me in my recovery giving me hope. The food is AMAZING There are two awesome chefs that KNOW HOW TO COOK. YOU WILL EAT LIKE A KING/QUEEN. Wow, I have been to VA's all across the country, and I'll have to admit I was a bit skeptical coming to VA North Little Rock. However, my experience here far exceeded my experiences of ANY VA I have been to and I was treated SO great! Nurse Connie was the sweetest Nurse I have ever had! She was amazing and she was able to calm my anxiety. My primary care Dr., Mr Spears was wonderful as well. I can't express the gratitude I have for how everyone treated me. My wife of 52 years passed a way in 2021. I began seeing a counselor after I had back surgery in 2022. About a year later I had to relocate to Lonoke County. I was experiencing complicated grief and depression and needed someone to listen to what I had to say instead of just telling me what to do.I started seeing Shannan at Arisa, several months ago. Shannan, who was young enough to be my granddaughter, had the ability to help me feel better after each session. Unfortunately, Shannan went to work at another clinic in Little Rock a few weeks ago. Her move seems like another loss and now I only hope I can see another counselor who will give me the attention that Shannan did.My experience with Shannan at Arisa was very positive. I got at Sober Living in Dec 13 2023 and stayed till April -05-2024 . they lot rules you got no or find the door and i understand that . Your first 30 days you got to remember ,Maintaining abstinence from drugs and alcoholPaying rent and other feesParticipating in house choresAttending house meetingsFollowing curfewsRespecting other residents and staffBeing a team playerAgreeing to random drug and alcohol tests. the lot rules to go by . I watched people get kicked out and that might sound bad but it not . Let me explaine . they start shooting crooked , lying , going behind staff back and thinking they are being slick . no cell phone till you go Block House then you got ask to have one . you got work CQ answering phone and other things ,sighn in and out of bathroom . you get 10 minute shower no longer . write up comes with extra duty ,washing dishes ,cleaning bathrooms floors , meeting room ,washing cars . when you leave you be diffrent person but it fresh start for you so never take it hard and think you being punished . I did extra work like pick trash up around building . just work program and you see better person inside you .
