The new owners of the Sedona Sky Academy are working hard every day to make a good place great. As a consultant in behavioral health, I know first-hand that they have a caring program, the students look happy, and the facility is nice. The academy is located on a beautiful 28-acre campus near Sedona with equine therapy, a mountain creek that runs through the property, and plenty of outdoor space to play. With onsite school, help with behavioral health, loving staff, and the beauty of nature, this place is a kids dream.

My daughter was a patient at ATMC for 60 days during this past summer. The personal care she received far exceeded expectations. She was able to taper off 2 perscription drugs completely and 1 partially. She has been steadily improving since returning home and continues to taper, utilizing the skills she learned while there.Their inpatient program is highly effective but they also teach coping skills that stay with you when you leave. Beth, my daughter continues with follow up care and the difference in her mental outlook is amazing. The diet and detox program has resulted in a big improvement in her overall physical health. I would highly recommend this inpatient facility to anyone who wants to improve their emotional and physical health using holistic therapies. It has changed her life and the lives of those close to her!

I just transferred to the northern AZ VA system and I have been floored with how great and attentive they've been. I have mental health issues and the primary Prescott location has been super quick to get me in and talking to someone. The psychiatrist I talked to listened to me and suggested some things for me to try.I am now on a weekly therapy and different meds, when I asked them to check in after I start the meds they scheduled weekly appointments.I had my labs done last week, super quick and really easy going tech.Today I saw nurse Sara and she was lovely! Completely at ease and fun to chat with.I then saw Dr Gallagher and she was delightful. She knew my records, she asked questions and she offered some other treatment options for me. She made sure I had the assistance and appointments all down correctly and said if I need anything to reach out.I've been in the VA system for about a decade and this has been the best experience so far. Oakwood GA clinic was great but cottonwood has surpassed them. Thank you all for being there.

I have been coming to this ER since 2012. Some minor things, and two major things over the years.I will say, that in the past, this ER was not at its best. Some of the staff were dismissive, borderline rude and difficult to communicate with. I am here to tell all of you, that some major changes were brought to the VVMC Emergency Department. I had noticed small changes last year, but those changes have clearly been implemented in such a way that I thought for a moment I couldn't have been in the same hospital I have gone to all of these years.Last night, my heart was in distress. I truly did not want to go to vvmc. I remembered over the years the horrors I had experienced with staff and wait times. But, with how my condition was, I needed to go to the nearest ER and VVMC was it.Upon entering, the lobby was again full, but the triage intake acted fast to make sure the nurses could get my blood work and images to ensure I was okay. Not only was every single staff member kind, courteous, and vigilant, they treated me like a person. Not just a number.Dr Schwartz MD was the best doctor I have ever had. He was incredibly detailed oriented and went a step further understanding my previous severe emergencies, that he made sure my visit would be as comfortable as possible by reassuring anxieties and providing care above and beyond. He did the entire work up to ensure my heart was not in distress as it was so in 2023. He spoke to me in such a soothing fashion, always asking if I was okay with what plan he had in place. Making certain I was comfortable with each move. He even did a bedside ultrasound of my heart and pointed out each area that he would have been concerned for, but it all looked wonderful. He was patient, diligent, and he provided me complete solace. His assistant RN Ryan, was very impressive in how he spoke to me and treated me. He spoke to me like a friend, with compassion and understanding. Ryan encouraged me while telling him how my life virtually stopped when my major incident happened. He brought words of wisdom and empowerment all while working effortlessly to maintain the upmost care. Both of the gentlemen went so far above and beyond. I wish I could have these two as my primary care team. After my visit experience, I will surely come back if I again have an emergency.Thank you for the amazing care from all of the staff members last evening, and thank you so much VVMC for the necessary and impactful changes that made my experience much better than previous ones.
